The way he breaks it down is pretty much spot on. WVU is a place that someone can be for a long time and be comfortable if you can win there, but if a Kansas, IU, UNC, or Duke calls you and asks if you are interested, you take the call and listen. The Kiffen to USC is a pretty much spot on comparison. My ex is from Tennessee and her family was PO'ed that Kiffen left, but I understood seeing it was his dream job. In hindsight, he probably screwed up, but when that opportunity presents itself, you have to take that chance. I am glad we were on the side we are on.

I wonder if we have a chance although he has an IU hoodie on in the picture standing in front of the IU back drop. It makes a guy wonder where he might be leaning.

I saw that Leary said that Bryson Tucker would fit DDV's offense better than Woodson's. It will be interesting to see who stay and who goes.

That is what I didn't understand the last 8 years. I can throw a d@mn rock outside here in Evansville, and probably hit a kid who could shoot better than the teams put on the floor the last 8 years. (Sarcastically of course, I think I did shoot better at a small Christian high school I played at 36 years ago.) This state is loaded with guys who can do that. It just blows my mind sometimes.

Doing a little Internet research, it looks like his wife played at Northern Iowa and their daughter looks to also play in high school. They are a basketball family it looks like.

Dolson might not have met with DDV and talked about getting rid of Woody in the Bahamas, but I bet that he did keep an eye on his team after that to see if he was right for the job for when the plug was pulled on Woody. He probably did ask some of big fish if they were interested, and they say No. He gets to his second tier of guys, and DDV was first on that list. The search firm did their thing, and he jumped on him as soon as the selection show was over and WVU was left off. Maybe they kept in contact via personal e-mail to judge interest? Who knows, but Dolson knew that DDV was someone he could work with since the Bahamas I bet.

My dad was a coal miner here in SW Indiana, and I can tell you for a fact that we have blue collar workers here also. And I can assure you that if you gave any of them over a million $$ raise, they would move also. Please, if he can put a team on the floor that works hard and wins, we will be fine.

Exactly, he is a solid coach who has proven he can win at this level. The goal is to win games not the press conference.

Exactly, mention some mid-major coaches, "IU has to get a P4 coach!" DeVries and Brownell are two P4 coaches are mentioned who have done a very good job and are light years above what IU has had for the last 8 years. "Those guys suck!!!" I personally think that Michigan, Louisville, and UK showed last year what was going to happen here. The fact that IU would get a P4 coach while they didn't should say something. I say let's sign one of them and LET"S GO BABY!!!!
