I’m really scratching my head over all the angst regarding this game. Cig has proven that he’ll have his team ready to go. We’re playing at home. UCLA will be playing a game when they are normally just getting out of bed. Too many are buying into the media loving the Bruins’ turnaround. Trust in Cig. Trust in Fisher, Monds, Kamara and the rest of the lads. Watch with the quiet confidence that comes with being the superior team. I know, this is new for us. Gotta start thinking and acting like the programs that have been there before.

Understand that the Bruins are playing better now. Also know that they have given up 30 + points in 4 of their games. Regardless of the coaching changes, I don’t see them being able to keep up with us. We have played much better defenses who haven’t been able to stop us.

Based on the direction that this thread has taken… Let’s install top notch academic facilities in Memorial Stadium and link them to primo seat season tickets that can only be accessible to elite students. Two birds with one stone, I tell ya.

Two “ Tim’s” that shouldn’t be overlooked. Tim Wilbur was a 2 time All-B1G cornerback and a second team AA his senior season. He returned a punt 62 yards for the bowl winning touchdown v BYU, in a win that for a long time was considered the biggest win in IU football history. Tim Clifford was the B1G MVP in 1979, the first IU MVP since the 1930’s. We have had 2 since, AT and ARE.

One thing to consider… The B1G is in the 4th quarter of negotiations for a $2B private equity deal. With that in mind, I don’t think Dr. Kraft is worried too much about the buyout numbers.

IMO, Matt Campbell would be the home run hire they are looking for. PSU definitely an upgrade in every way over ISU. He was born and raised in Ohio, so knows the area. As is the case with most things in life, would have to have the wife on board for this to happen.
