    I wouldn't have paid for two degrees nor spend the amount of money I do on tickets and travel to watch IU if I didn't care. What kind of question is that? Being a realist doesn't change any of that.

    Brad Brownell hasn't won a conference title in almost 20 years. Are we seriously doing this? Brad Brownell has had one fluke tournament run in 15 years at a school with literally zero basketball expectations who would have been fired 3 or 4 times over by now if he coached anywhere that gave a damn. The fact that we're talking about Brad Brownell just to spite Will Wade is flat out ludicrous.

    Will Wade has won 3 conference titles at 3 different schools and taken 3 different schools to the tournament. He's also 42.

    If Will Wade won 25 games his first year here, not one single person would give a sh*t that Will Wade made a strong-@$$ offer 7 years ago on an FBI wiretap. And why would they? It's completely irrelevant in today's game. If our program isn't making strong-@$$ offers to recruits and transfers they aren't fit for the job.

    If you want to defend the actions of the kids Sampson recruited, by all means you're free to do so. Zero interest in seeing that caliber of character in Bloomington ever again.

    Forgive me for thinking the guy who has a .500 winning % in-conference at Clemson over the last 15 years wouldn't come storming into Bloomington and kill it overnight. My bad.

    You can count on one hand the number of schools whose fans expect their team to win at the level IU fans expect. The only issue is that IU is the one school who hasn't done it in 30+ years.

    Brad Brownell would say all the right things, gush at the opportunity of returning "home", speak the history of basketball in this state to existence, yada yada yada He wouldn't win many basketball games however.

    Bud Mackey was and he was convicted of trafficking crack-cocaine...WHILE IN HIGH SCHOOL. Eli Holman was and he missed his junior season for punching out a referee mid game and then most of his senior season after getting shot in the head at a gang affiliated party. Sampson was here less than 24 months.

    I'm talking about until we get the Fire Brad Brownell Thread started. Should have clarified. I would take the under on that easy. But yeah, if we're only interested in winning the press conference and not hiring the best basketball coach you'll likely get your wish. We aren't called Revolving Door U for no reason.

    Kelvin Sampson recruited drug dealers and gangsters while coaching here. That's the biggest reason.

    His show-cause ended two years ago. He's 46-9 since at a school whose had two winning seasons in the last 20 years.

    Will Wade wasn't eligible to coach right away. A P4 school wasn't going to hire somebody who wasn't eligible to be on the sideline. McNeese St could afford to do that....because it's McNeese State. Will Wade will be coaching at a high major school next year, one that is better than Ole Miss.

    The fact that Dolson identified Fitzgerald as his first target at least gives me some hope. His alleged transgressions are way worse than anything Wade has been guilty of.

    Powerless in todays world. Will Wade would absolutely kill it at IU in this climate. Thick-skinned, doesn't give a s*** what people think, flat-out winner. But yeah let's hire Brad Brownell because he's a pro's pro whose never won anything. If Brad Brownell was from across the river in Henderson KY instead of Evansville he'd be an after thought.

    Strong-@$$ offers is literally the name of the game in college basketball these days. And he's one of the best at it. Dude is a flat out winner. That's who I want leading this program, not some nice guy I want at my backyard bbq.

    Because he was serving a 2 year show-cause and sat out part of his first season. He won't be there after this season. McNeese State is 46-9 since Will Wade was hired...they had two winning seasons in the 20 years prior.
