They've fired a football coach in the last decade for abuse and mistreatment towards injured players. It's currently in the middle of a lawsuit where former athletes are accusing a team doctor of inappropriate conduct.

There's written language in his contract that states bonuses for accomplishments and results in the PAC 12, a now defunct conference lol. So what, he's now no longer entitles to any bonuses because he's not coaching in the PAC 12? Cronin has absolutely every grounds to renegotiate his contract. And if UCLA doesn't want too....he has more than a leg to stand on and challenge it in court.

No I don't know of any one who has challenged their contract. And of course that doesn't mean it hasn't happened or couldn't happen.

How many coaches want out of a blueblood job with a massive buyout? Guarantee you this can be challenged in court. On the bonus level, Cronin can make $25,000 for every regular season Pac-12 title, $15,000 for every Pac-12 tournament title and $10,000 for winning Pac-12 coach of the year. The academic performance of Cronin's student-athletes could also end up giving him an additional bonus as high as $60,000.
