  1. Just remember, a Purdue fan started the whole controversy. Doesn’t excuse he or the rest of the teams play, but my wife and + several other couples were in that casino well after midnight and there wasn’t a single player in it. https://x.com/zachvogt30/status/1861858119451574405?s=46&t=w6QCfPv_ohX9q670DTqgcA https://x.com/huxleyfuxley/status/1862860192045506631?s=46&t=w6QCfPv_ohX9q670DTqgcA
  2. He was definitely gambling in the Atlantis, but it wasn’t at 2am the night before the game as originally depicted. As someone who was at the Battle For Atlantis, the team did a meet and greet with a private group after dinner and a few hit the casino after. This was closer to 6-7pm. We were in Vegas two years ago and TJD and Race were at the Roulette table at the Aria for a long time the night before the Arizona game and don’t ever remember anyone making a fuss over it.
  3. I never said he wasn’t innocent. But having charges dropped isn’t the same thing as being found not guilty. Like I said earlier, having domestic violence charges against you dropped shouldn’t be the barometer for gaining employment. There’s a public police record available with all the alleged details that you’re more than welcome to read. He will not be IU’s next head coach.
  4. Only one coach was cleared (in the sense you’re interpreting) of any wrong doing. It wasn’t Beard by the way.
  5. I don't think being convicted of a crime is the barometer one must clear in order to be hired as Indiana's basketball coach. Todd Golden was investigated and cleared by Florida's Title IX department. Chris Beard wasn't cleared because charges weren't filed. Two different scenarios.
  6. Beard is probably the one coach who would take the IU job that I wouldn't have much concern with him being able to win. He has the chops, the demeanor, and the personality to succeed here. Not many do. That being said, I don't think the admin would even give him an interview.
  7. Beard was fired for-cause and Texas didn't have to pay his buyout. He didn't even fight it.
  8. If we're talking about realistic candidates, Bryce Drew absolutely deserves a look. I know people will point to his 0-18 record in the SEC that got him fired, but that Vanderbilt team was delivered a death blow when Darius Garland got hurt early in the year and was announced he wasn't going to return. Drew recruited well at Vanderbilt pre-NIL (Darius Garland, Aaron Nesmith, Saben Lee have all played in the NBA) and has done well building up his teams at GCU through the portal. His GCU teams play fast and heavily emphasize guard play. Only downside hiring Drew is that he coaches an extremely senior-laden team so would not be able to bring over a full roster of players.
  9. Different sport, but Colts brought in Jeff Saturday and it went exactly how you'd expect. IU isn't going to do that though. That's why I believe Woodson will coach through the remainder of the season with an announcement that he is stepping down at the end. Before yesterday I believed that announcement was going to come near the end of the year, possibly before the last game. Now, I think it could come here in the next week or two, possibly before they play in Assembly Hall again.
  10. Dakich was on Sampson's staff
  11. Michigan can’t run a set without turning the ball over.
  12. Michigan looks like they’d rather be anywhere but a basketball court tonight. This is worse than the Illinois game.
  13. Michigan looks like a lost puppy. Great environment early.
  14. We'd all have alcohol poisoning in 30 minutes.
  15. Did you honestly expect common sense to prevail here? On this thread no less? (you're exactly right by the way)
  16. Or maybe it has and all you can do is regurgitate. Take a valium my man. Breathe.
  17. Brian Kelly was literally on a recruiting visit for ND when he took the LSU job. Mike Woodson, or any coach for that matter, is going to continue to recruit until he/she is relieved of their duties.
  18. I'm surprised your head hasn't exploded by now.
  19. Hold up. So the administration had plans to fire Mike Woodson mid-season, told assistants this was going to be the plan, couldn't get any assistant to take the interim job, and then just acted like nothing happened? Lol. I truly don't think even you don't believe half the stuff you share on here. That or you're extremely gullible. IU is not firing a coach mid-season, especially one of their own. Just isn't happening. The best this fan base can hope for is a joint statement from Woodson/administration announcing that he's stepping down at the conclusion of the season. If/when that happens, I expect it to be sometime before IU's last game, a home game on senior day.
  20. If IU had 100% of the ticket allocation? Yes The Penn State game is regarded as a true road game. Already been established.
  21. Just got back from Scottsdale. It's chilly. Was 42 degrees for my 8:30 tee time Saturday and not much warmer at night.
  22. What level of the spectrum are you on? I’ve read your drivel for years and it’s driving me insane.
  23. No interest in joining the circle jerk, just need a new coach
  24. Twice. And that's because replacing a legend like Dean Smith rarely works out. But unlike Stevens, Roy Williams played, attended, and coached at UNC and didn't walk away from the college game.
