  1. Yes, but he was in witness protection.
  2. I believe that if North Carolina was to offer Few, he would accept. I think Carolina would be his chance at an NCAA title. Few may be happy enough at Gonzaga that he would decline all offers, but Nort Carolina would have to be one that he would give real consideration.
  3. If UNC moves on from Davis, they better already have a deal in place before cutting him loose. Looking at the top 15 in kenpom, there are only a handful of coaches that would be considered high profile enough and would possibly leave their current situations for the high expectations of UNC. I will make this statement. Brad Stevens will never be welcome in Indiana again if he would take the UNC job.
  4. The rumor was Crean had hurt his relationships with in-state recruiting. On top of that he was a quirky person. Crean was trending downward. His tenure at Georgia continued that downward trend. I think we want a coach that continues to sustain and build on his success. Making the tournament consistently is simply the first plateau and then we progress to the next step. In the NIL world of today, it's possible to buy a team to make a Tournament run. However, many of us would also be happy with building incrementally, which starts with consistently making the Tournament again.
  5. As an IU fan, I too have become proficient in identifying bad basketball. :{
  6. I don't understand how kids that have played basketball since grade school, haven't learned to value the basketball and make sure they get the last shot of the half. It just cost Michigan 3 points. IU has made similar mistakes the last few years and it drives me crazy.
  7. I miss those. Damn Covid.
  8. It's the three weeks of the year that I watch Tru TV and get bombarded with Impractical Jokers commercials.
  9. Now that my disappointment on the season has subsided, I've been trying to be more positive about DeVries and our future. I like what I've read about our incoming recruits. I think they are a solid foundation for our future. I'd like for us to add at least one athletic freshman power forward/center in our 2027 class.
  10. I think continuity would be best this off-season.
  11. I agree mostly. We can maybe bring in one mid-major shooter, but the rest of our new players need to add size, length, and athleticism.
  12. Don't forget to add in Woody's golfing, I mean recruiting trips for him and his buddies. Nothing but first class for the King and his friends.
  13. Purdue won the Wresting Championship today in Chicago. Give Painter credit, he knows how officials ref these Big Ten Tournament games and he builds a team to take advantage of it.
  14. And the NCAA President wants to expand the Tournament. That guy is an idiot!
  15. When does the IU statement that we are declining to play in a post-season tournament come out?
  16. Glad Miami (OH) is in. Hard for a MAC school to schedule a power 5 unless they play in a pre-season tournament.
  17. The committee could have swapped them with Kentucky and sent UCLA to St Louis and Kentucky to Philly.
  18. UCONN a 2 and St john's a 5 seed, just seems wrong.
  19. Might have a difficult time being the #1 seed at a tournament at the HYPER.
  20. I'd add 5) A defensive stopper. Enright hustled, but we didn't have anyone that you could call a defensive stopper. This would involve upgrading our athleticism.
  21. Be careful! When losing teams use load management it's called tanking. You might get fined for that. :)
  22. I agree with you, but Dolson and those in charge don't like to see an empty Assembly Hall on television. That's just a reminder of how mismanaged our basketball program has been.
  23. Arizona vs Iowa State is rockin!
  24. I want Miami (Ohio) in. My fear is since the NCAA President wants to expand the Tournament, they leave Miami out and claim they would have made it if the Tournament was expanded.
  25. I'm hoping Sisley develops and can play solid minutes and that all the recruits are good enough to crack the rotation and contribute off the bench next year. We need to build a solid young nucleus.
