(2026) - Anthony Thompson to O$U

I totally disagree with that statement. Just how many top 5 players have been on the championship teams the last few years. I think it was the last UNC championship team where all of their starters were ranked between 15-70 -

I think Thompson is ranked 6th or 7th and not in the top 5. I still take 3 top 50 players over 1 top player. Also they say this is one of the weaker classes in a few years so the top players in this class isn't the same as other years -

I rather have 3 players ranked between 20-60 than a top 5 players. One those 3 will probably be here 2-3 years instead of 1 year of a top 5 player. You build your foundation with players ranked 20-60 -

The thing is even top ten players are no guarantee just look no further than MgBako. I rather be a little judicious with the money instead of just throwing money around like Woodson did. -

College basketball is getting ridiculous They need to blow up the system and get college sports back to what it was intended to be. I know some schools used to cheat but this system is a lot worse because every player is expecting a big pay day -
Indiana basketball injury updates, Nick Dorn, Jason Drake, Aleksa Ristic https://share.google/8CE9M500qec6EiZCh No to encouraging about the injuries

At least the first year I thought Peacock sucked. The home game vs Purdue kept freezing up and I was sometimes 5 or more minutes behind the game action

Not all change are for the good. A lot of people cut the cord to save the money but all that did was make it easier for the sports leagues to expand their coverage. So people actually didn't really save money by cutting the cord because now you have to pay for each streaming service. So you think it is better not being able to watch your favorite team if you don't want to pay for all of these streaming services.

I guess I am the old man but I do miss the days where you knew you were playing on Thursday and Saturday or Sunday. Also you knew the majority of the games were going to be on channel 4 with the great camera angles.

College basketball commitments plummet amid big changes in recruiting: 'Nobody knows what to do right now' - CBSSports.com https://share.google/liXFeq2kbEnGSf7Sr Reading this I don't know how colleges can guarantee anything but revenue sharing right now. Any NIL can't be guaranteed because everything has to be approved by the clearing house. Most don't think they will approve a lot of NIL deals that reach big time money. So the coaches will have to find other ways to funnel money to the players

UL did well in the first year with that approach and think Devries will do better in year 2. He is off to a good start with the 2027 with the commitment of Branham -

Louisville Cardinals 2024 College Basketball Transfer Portal Latest Activity https://share.google/dkLbfh26Nhzn4Aoxm This doesn't look like a portal class that was paid a whole lot. They only had a couple of players from high major programs -

That team and the 92 and 93 scored a lot of points and usually shot after a couple of passes. I remember one game I counted the amount of passes and the most in the first half was 4. 87 tournament Fairfield 97? Auburn 107 Duke 88 LSU 77 UNLv 97 Syracuse 74 -

I think they were favored. What was funny was Billy Packer kept saying that IU can't run with UNLV and need to slow it down. IU ran with them and won 97-93. Packer said that about IU all the time thinking RMK always slowed the game down but that isn't the case -

Did UL pay big in the first class of transfers. I am not sure but they didn't have to many many high major transfers -

So why did UL only get 1 top 150 kid in the 2025 class and UM only get 2. This years class was going to be hard to get a lot of top players because they haven't seen Devries coach a game at Indiana. Just like the 2025 class for UL and UM -

I just watched that game not long ago and pretty sure they said IU was the top seed. Also IU wore their white uniforms which goes to the higher seeds -

I U had the best college coach at that time. It is the same coach who in 1984 took a freshman in Alford and a bunch of average players and beat the #1 team in UNCa UNC had 4 starters who were picked in the top 7 of their respective drafts Jordan, Daugherty, Perkins and Smith
