I still think for long term success your foundation still needs to be high school recruits or transfers who have 2-3 eligibility left. I don't think you can sustain success by bringing in 8-10 transfers each year.

We might not have the top tier money like UK or KU but I still think we are a top 10-15 I am not worried about it because the programs that have been the best the last few years aren't too spenders like UCONN, Florida, Houston and Purdue

I don't think Zeller was actually hired. I don't really worry about the players who will be at the bottom of the roster. I don't mind having experience players at the end of the bench and can come in and contribute when needed

How I see is that people's hatred towards Woodson clouds their judgement towards anything to do with those teams. They will hate anybody associated with those teams even when it is warranted like they are doing with Leal and Goode. Both of them are Indiana kids who dreamed of playing for IU and didn't just come here for money. I thought that is what we want from players that play here.

The bitterness is from the comments about senior day two years ago. Talking about how he is part of the toxic environment under Woodson.

If you ask me if our players 11-13 is Goode, Leal and Sisley that makes for a deep team. I just don't understand the bitterness towards Leal and Goode in coming back to the team.

When it comes to the defense I look at the Pacers. I know the NBA game is a little different but the Pacers defense has been horrendous for the last couple of years. They have been in the bottom 7 in defense the last two years. The last 50 games this year the Pacers have been in the top 10 in defense and they had the same players. To me this shows if you put in a good system and the players follow the game plan even bad defensive players can be part of a good defense. The Pacers even had a rim protector and was still a horrible defensive team the last two years
