If all you can guarantee a player is from revenue sharing I don't know how a team can guarantee 2-3 mil. All the NIL compensation has to go through a clearing house and it is no guarantee all of it will be approved. Let's say the basketball team gets around 6 mil in revenue do you want to spend around half of that for one player Also if all it takes to win is to spend the most money then the Yankees and Mets would still be playing

He is right because he is way above those two as coaches. It is easy to win at OSU and Georgia with all of those 5 star players. It takes a great coach to take less talented teams and compete for championships

Just stating that a fan can actually focus on more than one team at a time. As a long time fan of both sports the one thing that use the infuriate me was when the football only fans blamed the basketball program for all the failures of the football program. That was total BS and created a losers mentality in the football program

I am an IU fan I am 55 years old and remember when you were lucky to watch 1 or 2 football games a year and had to listen to most games on the radio I set there listening to many games where we lose 56-7 I also never understood how a fan can be a fan of one sport and not the rest. I like basketball more but I root for every IU sport to be successful

What does being focused on football as a fan really means. Yes I will watch the games and discuss the team here. I can also do the same thing for basketball once the season starts so it isn't an either or

Just on the court things it doesn't make sense to pick OK St but now it is the highest bidder wins. Someone said it could be around 2 mil which if accurate is insane for a player ranked outside the top 10. At Ok St he will not be on national TV very much at all where at IU he will be on TV every game. I know we haven't been that relevant lately but we are still more of a national brand than Ok St is or will ever be. The games I have been seen I see a half empty arena with not much of an environment. When I was younger it was a pretty good program and had a really good home court advantage but not today. I think I have a good idea for a new show on ESPN. It is the recruiting auction and just have all the players up on stage and have every coach there doing the bidding. That could be entertaining

I am watching this right now and they are discussing a lot of the stuff we are talking about when it comes to recruiting. If you have time it is worth the time to see how recruiting takes place

I want a program with sustain success like UCONN, Purdue, Houston, Florida who didn't build their rosters with top 10 players. If you look at the final four teams the last few years it is mainly players who were more top 25-50 ranked
