Not sure if Indiana State has a 3 star rated player from high school? Rather, maybe a couple players made their way to ISU as a player that might be comparable to a 3 star based on performance. Are there any 2 star rated players? if there is such a rating category….and a bunch of non rated players. IU significantly bigger (lbs and size) , stronger, faster (Indiana State may have a player or two with some speed) and more skilled at every position on the whole roster. Keep Indiana State players safe and no freak injuries for IU nor either team. IU coach has made reference to IU playing a clean game.

Deboer…..and many others in similar circumstances……Example: to stay or not to stay at Washington…..to go or not to go to Bama….in the grand scheme of things it just doesn’t matter when you are still going have several millions $$$ regardless (given you don’t blow it all on trying to win the power ball lottery). Just have a therapist program in place for inconvenience and a little bit of hurt pride and move on. You see it all the time.

IU football is on a rocket trajectory (coach Hepp after beating a top 20 Iowa team) since T.Allen leading the team post game singing the school fight song after defeating Akron Zips in 4 overtimes at IU 29 to be 27….But they got her done.

Expect IU to play extra clean game (physically) vs Indiana State since probably about everything physically there is such a huge disparity keeping ISU players safe from injury (and no injuries from either team).

IU will be a different team than last year. Maybe, this year getting the passing game going enough short and long….to rely on a what could be a feature running game….This year’s QB will not pass and hit the over the shoulder like last year’s QB did….Don’t expect him to but he and the whole passing game including getting everyone involved will be much much better. (Plus red zone pass and run).

That is point I was making….(except beauty of weak preseason schedule) and OD is the best preseason opponent….preseason gets more horrendous the next couple weeks and execution will pretty much be improvement going through the plays/motions. Besides OD….especially ISU a team scrimmage might be a better option to improve execution. Executing against ISU is a lot different than executing against Illinois. However, I expect IU to be a totally different team vs Illinois in an IU good way…..that’s the difference between the present IU football program compared to yesteryear.

It seemed as though coaching strategy was to win a certain way (Knight used that tactic/strategy at times against lesser opponents)…that looked ugly. Illinois game expect receiving crew and qb to be much better (not like last year) Sarratt and others to come together with QB. Then, IU can run the ball (red zone). Defense played pretty well except a couple missed assignments that went for TDs considering defense lacked help from offense.

Two more horrendous opponents coming. Does anyone know if coach Cig told his wife how many wins he sees on the 2025 IU football schedule?

Did IU coach set this game up in that coaching team both offense and defense IU is going to win a certain way….slowed game down….Playing close to the vest not showing much even though he and team have a disappointing performance in a win….. This whole preseason will not hardly say anything about what IU will do in big ten….Wake Forest 10 and Kennesaw 9….IU will handily beat Kennesaw….and could run up and down the field for 80 vs Indiana State….but may choose to play somewhat conservative for a score like 50 to 0 and hopefully no major injuries for either team. The question will be enter an efficient really good passing game complementing running game scoring in red zone and it’s petal to the metal.

Purdue has already scored 3 touchdowns before Ohio State has scored so far this season. Ohio State vs Texas tv announcers talking about the fantastic job both coaches have done putting together their respective teams/progams……I think they mean purchased their program….Lol. Kinda parallels with the speed of signing future recruits methodically and patiently from both, the IU recruiting process and recruits, themselves…..at least the one’s IU is involved with.

First the football coach communications and involved with students/fans and now the basketball coach who comfortably and in his natural way (nothing flashy)….students/fans like this and has been missing and it just grows on most everyone creating a healthy culture. It’s they are present in the same place….. Not a culture of we are over here better than you who are over there.

If I remember correctly…. What happened to that big fat Hoosier face with a garbage can sized cowboy like hat? Was that a mascot or something else masquerading as a mascot or just a friendly Hoosier?….thinking 1970’s

Nice that IU men’s basketball has what looks to be a competent intelligent target driven coach. Nothing that flashy but seems to be a firmly driven discipline coach that because he knows what he’s doing and speaks like an intelligent coach, players/team follow suit and like and respect what they are doing and going to be about. (and his lifetime father-son relationship and how that role has fit into the player-coach career brings positivity to the team. That is talent that not everyone can make work. It does speak alot about him as a coach how he has guided his son in basketball and beyond.
