  1. Does IU look like Illinois this Saturday afternoon? Or is this guy in attendance this evening??? and did he bring some late in the the game help if needed???
  2. Illinois is ok as higher average but just not that good and never has been that good this season.
  3. IU got a higher spot or two and didn’t Oregon on a bye week drop a spot for a more intriguing nationally televised game.
  4. I think Scotty and those predicting Oregano to win will be correct for this one. IU may not even cover and lose by three or four tds or even more. The point spread betting odds say Oregano. Everything says Oregano. I say. IU. 31. Oregon. 28
  5. Penn State will probably lose another game or two.
  6. Penn State coach Nonchalant….Shrug
  7. And the Oregon win vs Penn State though a good win but doesn’t look as good as first thought…..rather than Penn State home game…..This is a bad omen for Oregon and a good omen for IU…… just feel like giving out omens today.
  8. The lopsided IU win vs Illinois is a bad omen for IU vs Oregon game due to Illinois not being that good….It’s a good win for IU but not as good as it looked.
  9. And Illinois wins…..the award for the preseason most overrated team. (their high ranking was from last year’s success for second half of season and returning players with experience….how many past years before this era did IU have young players that were supposed to get better and a year later IU returned experience to struggle to win 5 games….they were never going to be good enough.
  10. Addison Nyemchek: Soon after narrowing list and then committing to IU A.N. moved up in player rankings. In this case it is justified as she is one of the best. However, I have seen this several times sometimes distorting how good a player will be college level.
  11. Some players on last year’s team trying to play above their ability level led to frustration…losing scoring opportunities and defensive struggles ….And led Garzon one major reason among others to look and transfer to what she sees as a higher ability team/program with more potential. Coach probably did well to salvage a 20 win season. However, that was a result of recent years recruiting struggles when IU Ladies were rolling along pretty well for a few years. Thus the hire of mainly C. Thompson and a couple others on staff. So far solid recruiting has improved and more recruiting activity is taking place in the 94 to 95 player rating range. However, there are many teams that are beginning to roll along with those elite programs that have rolled for several years in the 96 to 97 rating. (Iowa seems to be in the running for their share). T. Moren talks about how IU Ladies look for specific characteristics in players and does note they will recruit an elite highly ranked 5 star player but they have to fit her system. T. Moren kinda rambles about this to the point of a little bit of uncomfortable. (Is this making things to complicated because most coaches feel the same way)? Is this a way to kind of protect herself of IU inability?….to get a couple 96 to 97 rated players to go with the 94 to 95 rated players.
  12. Yarden Garzon is one of three Maryland captains.
  13. A win at Oregon is half way there.
  14. Can’t say that I disagree. I am interested that in 5 years who’s names will be on the locker room alumni board? Will it continue with coaching era changes and then who’s names will be on the alumni board years down the road. By then I will be approaching a 100 years old and won’t even know.
  15. If Dawn Staley, Geno Aruriemma, Kim Mulky, are USA coaches….are they able to recruit and bring 2 or 3 of those players to their respective teams? Disappointment with A. Bjorn as one example. And Zania Socka-N. was already on IU Ladies team. And the really not new Iowa coach recruiting keeps rolling as they are effectively in competition with several top elite recruits.
  16. It would be hard for IU Ladies not to be more athletic than last year. In recent pic Garzon looks a little more filled out and in love with Brenda F. and Mary.

Iowa, Illinois, Old Dominion…Iowa crowd noise and home field was good prep for Oregon. Flying out west and is IU going to go conservative (to the point of playing not to lose) or open up with the Ducks. Or combination of open up and conservative as game unfolds?
  18. Sanders linked to Ark job Lol….talking about making something worse.
  19. In basketball I remember Knight getting really conservative trying to neutralize opponent strengths. Example 1984 elite 8 loss to Virginia. And then running with UNLV 1987 final 4 win. Opposite strategies with different players involved. Wondering which strategy will be used vs Oregon? And advantages for Oregon home crowd noise IU flying west and a great big game with an excellent coach and talent. And advantages for IU a mysterious coaching strategy that wins sometimes in mysterious ways. (Cig has often referenced a lot of games come down to a play or two). Overall, not many IU turnovers and penalties have been impressive for as aggressive usually plays over the last couple years.
  20. UCONN with the land of giants and players like A. Shade and they are all 5 stars or close to 5 stars and don’t even recruit that hard really….UCONN just gets a lot of what it wants. Hahaha.
  21. 9/11/2004 IU 30 vs at 23rd ranked Oregon 24 (same score as Oregon beating Penn State this year). (IU was up in first half in the 20s to nothing but Oregon came back but IU held on unlike a game vs NC State and Rivers at IU who completed comeback. (Oregon 4 first half turnovers and 7 for the game). Coach Dinardo in Oregon game and Coach Cameron in NC State game.
  22. Oregon is close to a two touchdown favorite vs IU in a couple weeks. Solid win to blowout win for Oregon seems to be the thinking.
  23. I guess it’s a good thing for IU that QB didn’t accidentally drop the ball or get it kicked out of his hands while running for a safety.
  24. Same score as Michigan game last year where IU escaped with 20 to 15 win. IU coach is calling the score.
