  1. Just saw that William Inge decided not to follow DeBoer to Alabama after all. Going to be LB coach at Tennessee instead.
  2. I mean, where's Bill Self? I'd put him at the top.
  3. No, I absolutely wouldn't, because I understand the situations they went into. Just looking at numbers doesn't come close to fully evaluating the two.
  4. Wonder if these are the same sources that told him Edey was in the transfer portal.
  5. I think May and Fife are friends, but loyalty is something any head coach needs in an assistant. Probably going to be tough for Fife to get an assistant job anywhere.
  6. Also, the athletic department lost around $65 million during the Covid year. So the $5 million surplus didn’t just happen in a vacuum.
  7. I'll add my computer ratings, includes all D-I games through 2/18: 1 Purdue 23 - 3 ( 1 ) 2 Houston 22 - 3 ( 2 ) 3 Arizona 20 - 5 ( 3 ) 4 Connecticut 24 - 2 ( 4 ) 5 Alabama 18 - 7 ( 5 ) 6 Tennessee 19 - 6 ( 8 ) 7 Iowa St 20 - 5 ( 7 ) 8 Auburn 20 - 6 ( 6 ) 9 North Carolina 20 - 6 ( 9 ) 10 Illinois 19 - 6 ( 13 ) 11 Baylor 18 - 6 ( 14 ) 12 Marquette 19 - 6 ( 11 ) 13 San Diego St 18 - 6 ( 17 ) 14 BYU 18 - 7 ( 10 ) 15 Duke 20 - 5 ( 19 ) 16 Creighton 19 - 7 ( 18 ) 17 Kansas 19 - 6 ( 12 ) 18 New Mexico 19 - 6 ( 15 ) 19 Dayton 21 - 4 ( 21 ) 20 Colorado St 18 - 6 ( 22 ) 21 Michigan St 17 - 9 ( 25 ) 22 Utah St 19 - 5 ( 20 ) 23 St Mary's CA 20 - 6 ( -- ) 24 Kentucky 18 - 7 ( -- ) 25 Gonzaga 19 - 6 ( -- )
  8. Maybe Leal was taking him house shopping after the game.
  9. Will never forget his quotes and how in awe he was of our team after we absolutely routed one of his best Maryland teams in the second round of the 1981 NCAA Tournament: "They were the best team I've played since I got my program going. Nobody's beat us like that. If they were playing the 76ers today, they would have beat the 76ers. There's nothing I can say but congratulations. I hope they win the national championship." And of course, we did.
  10. I’d like them better with names on the back.
  11. Jesus, I usually like the alt jerseys more than most other people do, but that’s hideous
  12. That’s actually an interesting question. There is no mandatory retirement age for state employees in general. However, back in 2001, AD Clarence Doninger was forced into retirement because he reached IU’s mandatory retirement age of 65. Now, I don’t know who all that policy applied to, if it was just for administrators and not coaches, or if the policy still exists at all now. But it is interesting nonetheless, and maybe someone else knows for sure…
  13. Mgbako hasn’t figured out that he needs to move after an opponent takes a shot…..block out, go get the ball, do something other than stand and watch with his feet glued to the floor. If anyone has sat down with him and showed him tape of himself, it hasn’t changed anything in 24 games.
  14. He also won’t have Hiller as his OL coach
  15. Wonder why Trilly put May in OSU’s list. Don’t remember him being a manager there, so there must be some other reason.
  16. I think the phrase “flavor of the month” is the flavor of the month.
  17. I wouldn’t bet any games with IUPUI, they seem wildly inconsistent. Watched them beat PFW at the Coliseum in Fort Wayne, then turned around and lost to them by almost 30 at home, lol.
  18. This is the problem people are having. Maybe some people think he’s at Florida. But he’s not at Florida, or Dayton, or Marquette, or Butler. The thought of FAU having winning seasons, let alone going to a FF and then beating Arizona and some of the teams they have beat this season, was an absolutely absurd thought just a few short years ago.
  19. Have not seen him on the signing lists IU has released, which is a little surprising because I thought he had an offer from James Madison.
  20. My computer ratings through 2/11/24 games: 1 Purdue 22 - 2 ( 1 ) 2 Houston 21 - 3 ( 2 ) 3 Arizona 19 - 5 ( 3 ) 4 Connecticut 22 - 2 ( 4 ) 5 Alabama 17 - 7 ( 5 ) 6 Auburn 19 - 5 ( 9 ) 7 Iowa St 18 - 5 ( 10 ) 8 Tennessee 17 - 6 ( 6 ) 9 North Carolina 19 - 5 ( 7 ) 10 BYU 17 - 6 ( 8 ) 11 Marquette 18 - 5 ( 16 ) 12 Kansas 18 - 5 ( 14 ) 13 Illinois 17 - 6 ( 11 ) 14 Baylor 16 - 6 ( 13 ) 15 New Mexico 18 - 5 ( 12 ) 16 Indiana St 21 - 3 ( 22 ) 17 San Diego St 16 - 6 ( 17 ) 18 Creighton 17 - 7 ( 19 ) 19 Duke 18 - 5 ( 21 ) 20 Utah St 18 - 4 ( 15 ) 21 Dayton 19 - 4 ( 20 ) 22 Colorado St 17 - 5 ( 23 ) 23 FL Atlantic 19 - 5 ( 25 ) 24 Clemson 16 - 7 ( 34 ) 25 Michigan St 15 - 9 ( 24 )
  21. If I'm AD, I'm in the process right now of contacting at least the names on your list via backchannels to gauge interest in case I need to make a change.
  22. Yes, and he’s been called for traveling
