The manner in which those games were lost kind of weighs into the feelings.... -

I don't think that negates his point though. He didn't say whether the win was a positive or a negative, he just said it was two average teams playing each other and one of the average teams played better and won. That is pretty much what happened. Sunshine and unicorns view, "Yay, we beat a higher NET rated team on the road!" Pessimist: "With the talent we have we should win that game and it shouldn't have been the struggle it was after we opened a 16 point lead, but here won." Ultra-pessimist view: "We sadly have to rely on injuries to force the coach to play how we should have been playing all along and if not for an injury to a post player, we are likely looking at getting shredded with the pick and rolls and basket drives than we were and we likely would not have had the offensive spacing that helped our offense. Woody got forced into being a better coach by fate. It is JHS at the point because XJ went down type of 'brilliance' that potentially saves a season but has zero to do with any adjustments Woodson made." -

The NIL resources are the fans too. Most of it is just a handful of really rich people but still fans. -

He is thin skinned. He finally blocked me as well. Frankly, I hope these morons get what they want and people check out of the games and the program. They don't understand how stupid it is to actively chase away fans and then think that people are going to just hop back in with the same gusto 5 or 10 years down the line. I didn't watch the past two games and the impact it had to miss them was zero. Great business model to educate fans on just how little they mean to the program and how little they will miss watching the games when it is no longer being done out of habit or some false sense of duty.... -

This is going to sound mean and I think Leal is a good teammate but on court production doesn't warrant $200k to me....then again, if I was being honest, all these guys getting paid what they are is a f'ing joke given the results. -

He for sure had his issues. They all did/do. That is why they aren't here anymore. I still think that Woodson would underperform him if they switched places. I mean, Davis's first job was Indiana, this is Woodson's last stop. You expect a rookie to have growing pains, not a guy 30 years into his career.... Hopefully we finally get the next one right. -

kentsterling.com/2014/11/18/indiana-basketball-why-a-different-set-of-criteria-for-mike-davis-than-tom-crean/ So a few things and then I will drop it from my end because we are arguing over which was the prettier pig. Davis had an average 9 to 10 strength of schedule and made the tournament 4 out of 6 years and the NIT one more. That was done in a period where he wouldn't get the benefit of an opportunity at a "play in" game like Woodson got his first year. We have talked about not having the ability to match what the biggest programs were spending (like Woodson has) and that does impact your players. Yeah he had Knight's guys but in year 2 when he made it to the title game his best player was coached by Knight for like a summer. Same with the kid who came up with the key block in the Duke game. Woodson isn't sniffing that with or without a few good coached players. Woodson is hopefully gone after this year but I bet two things: 1. His SOS doesn't compare to Davis and 2. That if he had 6 years his declining returns on the court would make it more difficult to recruit and he would be much closer to that .593 record. Nonw of them were great. None of them would be benchmarks for who we want here in the future but Davis was better than Woodson. -

Yeah but you are leaving out the payroll that I mentioned. I think Davis's recruiting would have been better with several million to throw around. He was in on guys that we lost to the shoe schools back then. -

Perhaps, but Davis was the better of the 3 (IMO). I wouldn't want any of the 3 coaching here, only one of them maybe should have had a shot at the job (Miller, but he failed) and the other two shouldn't. Out of the 3 though, Mike Davis was the best and it really isn't close. -

I am not saying he was great. I am saying that if you gave Mike Davis the equivalent of $6 million back then that he would be able to buy a team and put a better product on the floor than Woodson has. I mean, low bar, he wasn't the guy for here but he did do things at places like UAB and Texas Southern that there is no way Woodson would have pulled off. Mike Davis was mediocre. Mike Woodson is somewhere below that. -

He should try to lose by double digits so his end of game decisions don't matter. -

Mike Davis was a better coach. You give him Woodson's payroll ability at that time and I bet you he would have rarely missed the tournament. He wasn't a great coach but he was serviceable. -

Yeah, you are talking finishing around 11-7 in the BIG (12-8) to have a chance IMO. That would put them at like 21-10 and you would think a few decent wins. Anything less than that and they are going to be facing a real uphill battle. -

Tony Adragna drug him yesterday. Tyme's time is running out. He does have a little bit of a point with some of the issues in the administration, but 95%+ of the problems in the program is the coach. In fact, the coach is just an extension of the newest group of people Tyme wants to push blame on. -

Just another data point. I know people will say the Fife thing and this are sour grapes but I think there is some legitimate beef behind all these. -

I don't think he should be the Coach but that is co-signing things we have heard about Woodson. -Not a good leader or work environment? Check -Doesn't take the time or care enough about individuals to get personal things (like their name) right? Check I imagine that if things continue on the course they are on this year, more people are going to have "Hoosier Hysteric", Brian Evans, and now Dane Fife kind of things to say. -

So I actually somewhat agree with Tyme. There is a deeper issue than just Woodson. There is an issue in the administration with the people who placed him in his position. If we believe that Dolson was forced to accept Woodson by these people, I think letting this season bottom out may be the best course of action. It would help to neuter the people who installed Woodson when it comes to picking the next guy. "You know what?" everyone else thinks, "We let Dolson do his job unencumbered with football and we ended up in the CFP. Maybe you guys sit this one out and let him do what we pay him to do." I don't know if that happens if this season is saved. You need Buckner and Ferguson and the money guys sidelined a bit. -

That wasn't a positive performance. It was a win against likely the worst team in the conference and we couldn't pull away from them.
