  1. I agree but I don't think you can blame this staff for Franklin. He never played for Woodson. There's also no reason to believe they'll put together a more well rounded group than last year or that we won't keep seeing the same things we've seen the last 3 years.
  2. Huge mistake since it's no secret. He's only making it that much harder to field a good team next year. Maybe that's his goal. But I didn't think so for 2 reasons: 1) that would imply planning on Dolson's party which he hasn't shown an ability for 2) instead of helping him fail, the better option is to just fire Woodson Burying his head in the sand and trying to pretend there isn't a problem won't make everyone forget how bad last year was. That strategy is part of the reason I want Dolson fired, too.
  3. That's also why Dolson needs to release a statement in support of Woodson since he's not getting fired this year. The "leaked" info that he's back does nothing to settle talks that he's a lame duck coach. Instead, we get crickets.
  4. To be fair, the guy is a d-bag.
  5. Already have the "it's a new team" sometimes stated as "still getting to know each other" excuse built it. That was used for 75% of this past season so no reason to think we won't hear it again next year.
  6. It's so odd going to the recruiting player of a FB player with an IU offer and seeing multiple other P5 schools on there. Now there are multiple players like that, not just this guy. It's almost like CC realizes we need P5 talent to compete against P5 teams. What a crazy concept.
  7. So MSU material. Pass.
  8. Yes, he would be an even better candidate. I was just going by the former players that I knew of.
  9. They should obviously hire Corless Williamson or Scotty Thurman.
  10. Who is the player after Queen whom you accidentally called Flagg?
  11. Something this good takes time to make:
  12. Today is April 1st.
  13. The dead period shouldn't be a surprise. It might be with this incompetent coaching staff.
  14. Most insufferable day of the year.
  15. We're waiting until the entire roster of the national champions enters the portal then getting them all.
  16. I think these belong in the WGAF thread. If there isn't one, there should be. Fire Woodson.
  17. Who said that?
  18. My wanting Mike Woodson gone has nothing to do with Purdue so neither outcome will affect my posting.
  19. I don't know about all SCY meets, but it's the fastest NCAA meet. Which probably makes it the fastest SCY meet, since international and most major meets in the US outside of this one are in meters https://www.swimmingworldmagazine.com/news/why-have-2024-ncaa-mens-championships-been-the-fastest-ever/?fbclid=IwAR30EB3NcrqK7gr8iwuyGacqK_v3lOvpIMJP55A4XKvi76-jQ_JuwOwmmTM
  20. It's a plot he and Woodson came came up with to surprise the non-true fans when he commits to IU. Remember, Woodson is playing 5D chess while everyone else is playing checkers. Tyme/NGW doesn't know any more than when he was on this site. Last year he called multiple players to IU based on social media likes. Most of those calls were wrong.
  21. IU had a great meet and challenged for 3rd place but ended up 4th by 2 points. 200 back: Burns 7th, Westering 13th 100 free: Miroslaw 14th 200 breast: Yep 7th, Reich 12th 200 fly: Frankel 4th, Burns 8th Platform diving: Tyler got his 2nd NC of the meet, Weinrich 2nd, Henninger 7th 400 free relay: 9th https://swimswam.com/defending-ncaa-title-bittersweet-as-brendan-burns-reckons-with-end-of-swimming-career/ Carson Tyler will probably win diver of the meet with his 2 wins. If he doesn't, I would think it would be Henninger with 2 2nd place finishes and another A final with the 7th place today. What's great is that the 3 divers who kicked so much a$$ this meet should all be back next year, 2 juniors and a sophomore. This was an exciting meet and they were soooo close to getting 3rd. Here's an interview with Burns. https://swimswam.com/defending-ncaa-title-bittersweet-as-brendan-burns-reckons-with-end-of-swimming-career/
  22. Yep, that's why we won't get any quality guards. Don't think they'll beat out Cupps. lol
  23. I'm glad I'm not the only one that calls him Klingon. Hello, fellow nerd.
  24. Final day of the championship meet. Barring something crazy like a relay DQ, I think IU will stay in 4th place. The divers might be able to get IU over Florida for 3rd place but I don't think so. 200 back: Burns (6th), Westering (14th) - IU 1 A final/ 1 B final, NC State, 1/1 Florida 1/0 100 free: Miroslaw (15th) - IU 0/1, NC State 0/1, Florida 1/1 200 breast: Yep (6th), Reich (10th) - IU 1/1, NC State 0/1, Florida 0/1 Matheny DQ with a time that would've been in the B final. Unfortunate. 200 fly: Frankel (7th), Burns (8th) - IU 2/0, NC State 2/0, Florida 0/0 The 1650 free is where I gets hurt and having Hafnaoui would've helped. Florida and NC State each have 2 swimmers seeded in the top 8, so I'll consider them A finalists even though there are no prelims for that event. They also have a few swimmers outside the top 16 but close enough that a good swim might move them into scoring position. I expect the divers to score some points but that will basically offset the 1650 points. Edit: IU gets 3 divers into the A final, including the top 2 seeds. Tyler (1st), Weinrich (2nd), and Henninger (7th). The divers are so good this year. For the 400 free relay, Florida and NC State are seeded higher than IU. So I think IU will finish 4th at the meet. https://swimswam.com/2024-mens-division-i-ncaa-championships-day-4-prelims-live-recap/ Edit: After diving, IU has a legit chance to catch Florida. This is including diving and assuming the swimmers in the 1650 perform close to seed: IU: 7/3, NC State: 5/3, Florida: 4/2 Edit: This projection agrees that IU has a real chance to overtake Florida. It will be close. https://swimswam.com/2024-ncaa-mens-championships-day-4-ups-downs-asu-and-cal-at-the-top-updated/
