  1. I think this will change. I think the current setup is only for this year and next, maybe even just this year (I don't remember which). A lot of people have seen the issues you posted here.
  2. Sounds like Houston doesn't have much going offensively, either.
  3. Yeah, I'm rooting for a close loss by SMU. If Penn State loses, I think ND jumps them. I would definitely like your scenarios of playing ND or PSU if it works out like you think.
  4. I'm rooting for Georgia and PSU today since I don't want ND at #5. They don't deserve that. I think Oregon and/or Texas would be ranked ahead of them after a loss. I'm also rooting for Clemson to win so they knock Alabama out. Basically, **** both ND and Alabama.
  5. ASU will be the B12's lone team in the CFP.
  6. Good to hear. These are the updates we want. AD with more cachet than last year is against him, the person behind getting him hired and retained is a lame duck, and the donors are turning on him after wasting money this year. I hope Dolson makes a good hire after the season.
  7. I went and looked and the laws state relatives. So I guess they're clear of any actual crime. By the way, it is actually called nepotism. 42 IAC 1-5-15 Nepotism Nepotism restrictions are set forth in IC 4-2-6-16. This chapter does not prohibit the continuation of a job assignment that existed on July 1, 2012. As used in this section, "employed" refers to all employment, including full-time, part-time, temporary, intermittent, or hourly. The term includes service as a state officer or special state appointee. An individual employed in an agency may not hire a relative. Except as provided in subsection (e), an individual may not be employed in the same agency in which an individual's relative is the appointing authority. An individual may be employed in the same agency in which the individual's relative is the appointing authority, if the individual has been employed in the same agency for at least twelve (12) consecutive months immediately preceding the date the individual's relative becomes the appointing authority. Except as provided in subsection (e), an individual may not be placed in a relative's direct line of supervision. An individual employed in an agency may not contract with or supervise the work of a business entity of which a relative is a partner, executive officer, or sole proprietor. Any person within an agency who knowingly participates in a violation of this chapter is subject to the penalties set forth in section 12 of this chapter. IU, however, does prohibit even the hiring of friends although that isn't a law. Using his power to force the hiring of a friend and then to retain that friend when it's obvious he isn't up to the job is nepotism and looks like a corrupt act to me. But I guess it's ok since it's former star basketball players.
  8. So an illegal activity such as nepotism at a state university is ok as long as it's done by a former basketball star and includes hiring another former basketball star? That's what makes corruption acceptable in your books? That says a lot about you. That said, since Woodson has previous coaching experience, it's probably not enough to bring charges but it's obviously nepotism. The other moves made at the time of the hiring show that the AD who was forced to hire him had much confidence.
  9. He's no longer with IU, but Hafnaoui is kind of a train wreck. https://swimswam.com/olympic-champion-swimmer-ahmed-hafnaoui-provisionally-suspended-for-doping-rules-violation/ Also, both IU teams easily beat Cincinnati in a dual meet today.
  10. Dude, pointing out that Miller sucks isn't some defense of Woodson. Miller was a terrible coach. In 4 years under him, we saw a bunch of the same stuff as under Woodson, except with less talent (thus lower potential to actually be good) and 2 fewer trips to the NCAAT. Woodson is better than Miller. Extremely low bar so saying that doesn't mean that I'm saying Woodson is a good coach. He's not.
  11. Ethan Morton and Matt Cross were also priority targets for him. He isn't a very good evaluator of talent so he'd have just wasted money on bad players.
  12. I knew I was setting myself up with that sentence. Any interpretation is true, though. lol
  13. Limp mode is the worst. I experienced that driving home from work a few months ago. On a freeway. Going 70+ along with all the other cars around me. I got off the freeway then drove all the way to the dealership like that. Sucked so bad. I upgraded my AAA from 5 mile tow to 100 miles because of that. Don't forget 66-0 and IU will be in the CFP.
  14. Yeah, I believe it was posted on this site a while back. Spring or summer. It's probably in this thread somewhere. Edit: did a quick search. Here it is:
  15. I was thinking when I saw that news that he'll get a release from CU and look at UCLA now. lol
  16. He had some insane numbers as a sophomore. 2800+ yards passing, 32 TD to 6 Int, 61% completion rate, over 1000 yards rushing, 12 rushing TD. Came back to earth this year but still decent numbers. It would be exciting to see what Cig and company could do with him.
  17. Yep, this was expected after the season IU just had. Even with others signing new contracts, I'd be surprised if he's the only one targeted. CCC obviously knows how to identify and hire good assistant coaches so I'm confident we'll get a good replacement.
  18. I partially agree with you but he did recruit Bud Mackey. I think it was overblown and made to be worse than it actually was but there were some issues there.
  19. Better yet, use the jet to bring the Carmel club to Bloomington.
  20. Did Dickinson at least manage to not kick someone in the face this game? "Kory" lol
  21. Yeah, him too. I mentioned Mullins because he supposedly saw a practice with IU's "new" and "improved" offense with more outside shooting before deciding he didn't want to play in it.
  22. I expect we'll start to see IU's class rankings start to improve.
  23. God, I'm so sick of the SEC whining. What a bunch of twats.
  24. The "new" offense looks a lot like the old offense. It's a mystery why Mullins chose UConn over IU.
  25. It really is annoying, especially since those same people think a team like Alabama absolutely deserves to be in despite loosing to 6-6 Vanderbilt and getting blown out by 6-6 Oklahoma 24-3. They also ignore other teams with weak schedules like Texas, PSU, ND, SMU.
