  1. I see, in the recruiting board
  2. So why isn’t there a Josh Harris to Indiana thread? 72nd nationally in offensive rebounding percentage per KenPom, that definitely a good add
  3. Good post, but every season? I’ve seen some switching on some of his teams a while back, we’ll see how much roster construction plays into the defensive schemes
  4. Have gone to Puerto Rico multiple times. It's a great island to vacation at -- spring preferably, off-season. We've stayed at Villa Montana a couple of times, absolutely beautiful with villas literally on the white sand beach, ocean rolling in, great surfing etc. nearby, can ride horses on the beach and back trails, flat out wonderful vacation. Link to Villa Montana for any interested: https://www.villamontana.com/?sjrncid=GA_10958215615&sjrnaid=GA_594930659653&gad_source=1&gbraid=0AAAAADLqsW9LDw1_uy0RSvZtszUG1o03g&gclid=Cj0KCQjwzrzABhD8ARIsANlSWNM3UVHCmWXvE44P6umGSbFSih65OG7DAVU23hhJUUBjeLkaeJv86cIaAv1REALw_wcB&gclsrc=aw.ds
  5. Also a good idea to keep your rear end inside the bus window....
  6. So, I never "declared" we're gonna be like Houston and quoting that one line above ignores everything else in the post. Houston is one example, of many, teams that play a get out and go transition game with multiple forwards and guards -- and yes, it's guards that win in March. I also said we're not done, and a shot-blocking type forward seems likely (imo). We're not going to be a slow-the-pace team, obviously, we're going to be a running and shooting team. We'll see what additional forwards DeVries adds, and go from there.
  7. Some have explained it, see Houston's team et al. Here, DeVries is building a team for perimeter/wing play, with multiple players who can shoot, get out and run for speed of play and transition D. So far we have multiple players with good size and length at forward/wing in Dorn (G/F 6'7), DeVries (6/7), Alexis (6'8), Sisley (6'7) and Baily (6''10), not counting Goode (at least yet, 6'7), and Guard (Miles 6'6), Wilkerson (6'5) followed by Connerway (6'3) Enright (6'2) and Drake (6'2). The team is built to run and gun, and spread the floor with a combination of shooting and get-to-the-rim play. Adding a shot-blocking 6'8-plus type guy I think is expected, but (imo) we do not need a 'post' player. and we don't have 'just guards," we have multiple forwards already and aren't done.
  8. And he can play above the rim. Looking forward to seeing him shine
  9. Anyone have any pics of the Bloomington L5 weekend? Post them in the OT board or somewhere! Those of us living in such scenic places as, uh, Houston would appreciate it :)
  10. Nice chart, thx for posting
  11. I think that’s the objective— he’s recruiting to avoid the B1G style half court slug fest. I love it. I’ve been saying we don’t necessarily need a traditional rim protector— this is why. Definitely interested to see how his recruiting shakes out
  12. Time to start the Fire DeVries thread
  13. Welcome aboard Dorn - the transition game is in full effect, he's a great fit for what DeVries is building, man are we going to light it up, so refreshing
  14. It was such a nice song, and then you just had to go and add four years of Woody… But then you did get the PTSD in there, so yeah lol
  15. Are you lost in stats without ever having watched him? He was a force, just as he is in the NBA. His soph year he was taking off then came his season-ending injury. These stats are at best misleading. Hysterically wrong take here
  16. Vic and OG - 2 of my favorite all time Hoosiers I'd sub inJeff Newton - not for steals, just so good around the basket, blocks and boards, stopper and that FF against Duke...
  17. Will be interesting to see if he’s successful under Miller, contrasting Woodson’s lack of participation and effort
  18. What I've been (loudly) waiting for, for a long time now
  19. That’s a big hire. Moren works really hard and is a fantastic coach but our recruiting has not matched her results — this should help
  20. I tend to agree. Mobile bigs that fit the system designed to get out and run. Ah that sounds so, so much better and more fun that the last 4 years, and really 8.
  21. We didn't have cell phones in the 80's, lol
  22. Little 5 in the old stadium -- Still strikes me as wild that it was torn down and replaced with the green next to the Library
  23. Would love to see us bring in some Euro players
