  1. Hali getting injured/ re-injured just killed them, great effort through the half but without him, best player down, just don’t have the horses. Really a shame, he came out so aggressively.
  2. Yeah. Thunder built their team effectively through the PG trades/move. Acquired SGA from the clips and continued to build their young team. Rockets were on strong path with their mostly young gunners. Durant is maybe the most efficient/effective scorer in the League, but 37 and the Rockets largely gave up on building around the developing strong young players. Side note - guess who the Heat refused to trade for Durant…. A young core IU player…
  3. Posted this above! But yup
  4. It's also the offensive balance. Per ESPN research, P's are the first team in NBA history to have at least 8 players score at least 200 points in the postseason -- whether or not that's fully accurate (haven't checked and we all know ESPN research can be spotty),I'd bet the P's are minimally one of only a few teams who have had that kind of offensive balance in the postseason. Problem is that the Thunder have played much, much better at home, and the series against Denver was similar, and ended with the Thunder crushing Denver in G7. I'm hoping the P's come out and play their best, attacking on both sides of the ball, if they do I think they've got a real shot, but the Thunder are going to bounce back from G6.
  5. I guess the Pacers seem to be doing ok…
  6. I know it sounds harsh but I agree, as Leal had his time here, he had his senior speech, and the team is entirely differently constructed now.
  7. He’s from my neck of the woods, my middle child went to SHSU a couple years, nothing but enjoyment watching Lamar play— we’re going to have fun watching him snipe for IU
  8. He would definitely fit our system, can even play 5 out per the article. I'm not high on our odds given the competition, but he'd be a good land for sure, both for what he would bring to the team and for the recruiting W!
  9. Perfect skillset for this team, with exceptional size and experience. Yeah, would be nice. "Suigo is coming off a Purdue official visit. He made an official visit to Illinois on Feb. 13. Duke, Kansas, Kentucky, BYU, Texas A&M and others are showing interest and working to get involved. Suigo recently had a zoom call with Texas A&M." Anywhere but PU, please.
  10. I mean they kind of rhyme
  11. Awesome. Another chance for her, under a new staff.
  12. Without knowing the rules or looking them up, that sounds like a real stretch and fairly obvious attempt to circumvent the roster limitation. Maybe an issue for the compliance team, but the limit is 13 before extra money cost to the U.
  13. Can only take so much from highlight reels of course but from my amateur eye, looks like pretty good floor vision / set ups, good overall looking stroke, decent step back / turnaround jumper, decent burst, with development needed on handle.
  14. Hmm. The question was the Serbian league. "Ristic played for the top league in Serbia, the KLS, and was on the team BC Dynamic. He has been playing professional basketball for three years, his agent tells Peegs.com." Structure: The KLS has two stages: the First League (in which 16 teams participate) and the SuperLeague (in which 8 teams participate). As reported about the leagues, the SuperLeague is not a separate league, it's a separate stage. Maybe also worth pointing out: "FIBA Ranking: Serbia is currently ranked fifth in the FIBA World Rankings. "
  15. It's pro ball. NAIA? NBA players who came out of the Serbian league include Jokic, Stojakovic, Divac, Bogdanovic, among others. And skill wise? Euro players in general are ahead of DI college players. The rules and level of athleticism are different, but the skill? Plenty of skill in the Serbian league.
  16. Dort's doing his job for sure, but Hali not shooting? that's all on him. He's the engine, has to keep pushing, not punt like that. 6 shots? That doesn't tell anyone, including himself, anything.
  17. Really surprising, and unfortunate, that he only took 6 shots. That's bizarre, and genuinely surprising. They win with Hali shooting significantly, and in this game he was -13. WTH? ' I fully expect the P's to come out and win G6 with Hali and co getting back to playing and the refs not completely favoring the Thunder (the non-calls are truly pathetic), but then Thunder win G7. Yeah, P's needed to hold on and win G4.
  18. Ditto. Good Lord, 2030 - isn't that FIVE years away?? Lol
  19. "Developmental player?" "The 6-foot-4 Ristic is averaging 13.9 points, 3.3 rebounds, and 4.3 assists per game on 51.3% shooting including 39.6% from three, and 86% at the stripe in the Basketball League of Serbia, Jovic reports. He plays for KK Dynamic in the top-level league in Serbia. Ristic could play lead guard or off the ball for Indiana. Multiple sources tell TDH Ristic is joining the Indiana team for the 2025-26 season. The 19-year-old Ristic will play for Serbia’s U20 team this summer. He shot over 42% from three with that team last summer while posting 9.4 points, 2.4 assists and 1.9 rebounds in 21.6 minutes per game."
  20. I had the same reaction, and this 'kid' is an experienced Euro player playing on the top Serbian team with good minutes and numbers, and from all accounts/appearances has the size and strength/build to play in the B1G. Looked like speculation to me, not really a good look. (fwiw he wasn't comparing Priller as a project, that was a distinction, but still)
  21. Oh Hell yes, Serb 200 pound well tested shooter/lead guard-wing. yes, I’d like another forward but this is a great pickup. Love, love love that we’re adding an experienced Euro ball player, team just got deeper and better. And this kid looks tough.
  22. Most fair / balanced line of thinking imo. have seen projections of IU finishing 12th in conference or worse and best case being a low tourney seed. I think that’s overly pessimistic considering DeVries’ track record in building teams and record, the level of players brought in across the floor including elite outside shooting on high volume (Wilkerson particularly), the veteran depth and the history of winning the transfers bring. That said, we really have no idea how well they will gel, how ready they will be as a team for B1G level bball, and how consistently they can win without a banging big up front (I’m less concerned about that, but of course don’t know). I personally am high on the team’s construction and running and shooting plan, and am pumped to see Wilkerson and Conerway getting down the floor and orchestrating offense. I think we’ll be a lot better than 12th, but it’s hard to predict at this point
  23. I continue to believe the P's are in the driver's seat at this point, but they need to drive this one home tonight. Win this game and they're going to win it all. Lose it, and ugh all momentum shifts to OKC. Let's go P's
  24. JHS also dealt with continuing injuries. I tend to think it was more on the staff / coach in her case, she didn't really seem to get a legit shot. There's a lot of talent at her position generally but she was under-utilized.
