  1. Couldn't agree more with the above. It's not a money issue, enough money is there, how we do will depend on coaching, the right mix of recruited and portaled players, and player health.
  2. I’ll say this — we have every reason to expect actual modern bball, and FUN basketball— sets for outside shooting, proven high output outside shooters, outlet passing and transition D, high energy players— looking forward to the season!
  3. Paragraphs are your friend!
  4. Are you sure it isn't actually late senility? :)
  5. A certain Loaded Chicken Sandwich will be crushed
  6. Not sure if he has enough shoes….
  7. I haven’t seen him play, other than quick clips and stories, but sounds like an all out hustle player who brings it to every possession— that stuff’s infectious, should help get the team playing hard consistently
  8. Turner's an effective player and a long-time Pacer that has been part of that culture, full-team buy-in that significantly helps the P's continue to win against 'favored' teams and roll through the playoffs. But yeah, no way the P's could or should pay him what Boston has agreed to. And waiving off Lillard, lol.
  9. yeah i thought this was the case up until recently, when there was suddenly info that he was supposedly still in the fold. That never made sense
  10. For something a little different and chill, been listening to Billie Eilish on and off, so talented
  11. "Dude, we don't need you diving on the floor in practice, but he's going to do it anyway." Love it, we're going to like this kid
  12. 3 steals again and 8 assists in 20 min with 50% shooting…
  13. Dear God talk about clueless lol
  14. 3 steals and 8 boards to go with outside shooting… very nice
  15. Wait, he only sponsored half of the spring league? Geez. :)
  16. Agree with much of this -- would add that in one of the recent DeVries interviews he raised/discussed strengths and potential weaknesses of the roster as it is in the context of building the team and preparing, including as to size/rim protection, and talked loosely about the team playing a way to mask weaknesses. We don't really know how strongly DD feels about rim protection but he has been recruiting some guys for it. I'd expect at some point we'll have more length and athleticism up front (but no plodding, typical back to the basket bigs). Also think at this point we're more headed towards a UM-type team than an Iowa-type. How we play this season is going to be interesting to watch for sure.
  17. Schedule is really starting to load up on high quality opponents. DeVries is testing the team early on. Shouldn't have any issues with the non-con SOS ratings...
  18. Fair enough. Where I am -- it's just my opinion -- is who cares. We're not going to pay for everyone at the amount they want in this portal world, we're going to pay at amounts that make sense for the structure of the team as a whole on the values the staff believes make sense.
  19. It’s just speculation. He doesn’t know what was offered that’s just BS, and who cares.
  20. It's speculation.
  21. I was a big PG fan for a long time -- and consider a lot of the 'bad attitude' he was cast with while on the P's to Bird's idiotic, overbearing and genuinely stupid demands, insisting on playing PG at power forward and basically running off the P's then star player -- that said, PG's play for money to leave the Clips Z(where he was largely outstanding) and join the Sixers was itself selfish, short-sighted and well, dumb, and he got what he deserved in making that bad decision. But regardless his broken leg injury from the stanchion isn''t comparable to an achilles tear. Durant's is a direct comparison, and he returned after a year out to continue to dominate as the League's most efficient scorer and a legit superstar. Yep, Hali should be fine, just have to be patient waiting on his return.
  22. Interesting side-note that per Bozich's article on his interview with DeVries, IU is still waiting on both waiver requests - Leal and Goode. Thought the Leal request was rejected, but apparently not.
  23. Used to read Bozich's bball journalism when he was with the Courier-Journal, he's genuinely a trendsetter and with 50 years of sports journalism, one of the best out there. Well earned retirement.
