  1. Hey, my real name is LeBron Jordan. :)
  2. You may well be right. The limited minutes he got in the exhibitions seem to indicate that. It's early though, and my thinking is that he's got the talent, and if Rob doesn't step up (offensively) I think he could grow into those minutes, but yeah, he's competing now with the veteran on ball players (including Rob's D) who at this point look to be the primaries.
  3. At this point I'm going with either Geronimo or Lander. Geronimo looks primed for a real breakout year, whether or not it's off the bench, has the athleticism, defense, rebounding strength, and I think outside shot that's going to be much better utilized (and developed) this season. Lander, though, has a chance to show the jump to more consistent and much higher level point guard contribution than he's shown. Woodson continues to refer to him as young and he's started off getting only limited minutes, but that was still exhibition time. This kid has so much talent, he wasn't one of the top ranked recruits / point guards in his class by some fluke, but he's been young and physically, outside of quickness, not really ready for the college game. As he continues to get stronger and integrated into Woodson's system, he has the potential for a big leap. The defensive side needs work, that's holding him back, imo, but I'm rooting for him.
  4. Romeo got a fair amount of run over the summer and had several highlight reel dunks that were featured on espn. He may finally have a healthy year coming, hope so i’d love to see him finally grt to be able to play at the level of his talent. Stevens has been high on him. Meanwhile, Carsen Edwards and Kris Dunn have been traded to Memohis
  5. Wholeheartedly agree and echoing for emphasis! The NBA game today is heads and shoulders above college ball (as much as I love college ball and IU). It's not just that it's the best players in the world on the court, with a skill level miles above the average college game, the offensive sets, absurdly good point guard play, switching, flashing, defensive adjustments (and yes zones have been part of the NBA game for years) and ridiculous speed of the game is far beyond college level play. There are always plusses and minuses (the star treatment, hilarious 5-step uncalled travels, etc.) but man if you love basketball there's just no reason to tune out the NBA.
  6. I think he’s special. Yes, too early to say, but I don’t care — his all around 2-way game was on full display in his first game, against pros. Think he’s a next-level player, has all the attributes and just as important the work ethic, confidence and composure to go with it, and as an 18-year old frosh. Special
  7. I am a multi- millionaire just trying to speak it into existence
  8. Don't worry he's contrite -- here's his response (I may have filled in a few comments); "I regret that any of my unintentional [cough cough] actions or failures to follow University guidelines [laughable as they may be] have brought unnecessary attention to our outstanding [uh, cough cough] athletics programs and University," Mack said in a statement. "I understand that I could have handled matters differently[, I mean, you know, since I kinda skated on my involvement in the whole recruiting video thingy and having my grad assists practice with the team and all,] and therefore I accept this suspension [and you know, since it only involves non-conference games which even include 2 in the Bahamas! Haha, who really cares? Oh wait, did I say that out loud?]. While it will kill me to be away from our basketball family in November, I will do everything possible to set them up for success before and after my time away, and I am fully confident that our coaches, staff and student-athletes will rise to the occasion. [But you know what really ticks me off? That dude, Guadio, only gets a $10K fine, but I gotta forfeit $221K in comp? F that!"
  9. The guys who questioned his ability to recruit completely whiffed on his NBA pedigree and all that goes with it.
  10. Rankings are good and all, but seeing Tom Pritchard ahead of Vic... Lol, can only take rankings so far
  11. siap, from Bossi: (hard not to get excited here, another strong 2-way player) A physical guard who is capable of playing all three positions on the perimeter, Hood-Schifino is among the best two way players in the country. He makes winning plays as either a scorer or distributor when he has the ball in his hands and on the defensive end his toughness and high basketball IQ allow him to be one of the very best perimeter defenders in the class of 2022.
  12. Woodson is killing it. Welcome aboard Jalen!
  13. Is that in response to Jerry Meyer's annual last minute pick? Lol
  14. First, Coach Adragna is excellent. His reviews are dead on often with in depth breakdowns of the sets and how they were executed (or not). Second, my favorite line here "and offensive intuition that Woodson has taught." Hallelujah!
  15. This is disappointing to me. Coach has been referring to him as young, not questioning, but this kid has so much talent, hope to see hum grow quickly this year
  16. Geronimo is killing it on the glass. On a normal team this kind of looks like what Vic’s more natural progression would’ve looked like. Geronimo has tons of potential, but he’s not having to be pushed into an early offensive role.
  17. Would’ve been surprised, Leal on concussion protocol, takes time
  18. I was actually responsible for the win but i guess i can share some of the credit.
  19. “the excitement, the joy of playing basketball was at a whole different level.” TJD This says a whole lot in one sentence.
  20. 2-way stud aggressive scoring frosh who comes out in his first college game, against professional players and kills it? super high on this kid, really looking forward to watching him take off
  21. ITH will be there, would think their site will have breakdowns and scores
  22. Agree. And his comments from the article WoodenshoemanHoosierfan posted are pretty telling: "Just being able to be confident, having the open floor, being able to play my game, really just show my talents like I did earlier in my career," Phinisee said. 14COMMENTS And there seems little doubt with the "why" of his improved play. "New coaching staff and everything, new offense, just instilled the confidence for me, helped me to continue to be a leader, continue to get better each day."
