  1. Weathered the run and extended the lead back to double digits— that’s a well coached team — now hold steady and play to win in the 2nd
  2. Largely agree except (can't tell if you're saying otherwise) I think Maya will continue to improve and gain minutes while reducing fouling as she gets more experienced. These are early frosh games for her, she has the talent and will grow her strength and quickness. She got to 14 mins today, not great at 5 fouls, but she'll get there. Noyan's 5 in 9 mins, geez. Based on their bench mins of 14, 15 and 23, Moren trusts Maya, Kiaku and Stotjin to continue to grow their games. That's badly needed, only 11 total bench points, but 12 rebounds in their relatively limited minutes shows help
  3. 80-56 at about the 2 min mark Noyan and Maya have fouled out. Caffey and Socka have been more involved offensively, 9 and 8 points respectively. Stotjin solid off the bench in 21 min, 4 pts, 3 assists, no fouls or TO's Edit - Stotjin up to 6 pts, and Lenee and Shay on fire with 23 and 26 pts
  4. Yes and I'm surprised by the 10-point spread prediction which assumes we're firing on all cylinders while holding the #1 scorer in the country and the rest of their double-figure scorers in check. If we play like we did before the last two games we can do it. If we play like the last two, it'll be ugly. Hoping for the former.
  5. ^^Both are putting on a clinic, Shay 7-12, 3-5 from the arc, Lenee 6-8 and 3-3 2 and 1 fouls respectively No one else in double figures yet though
  6. That's interesting, and a little surprising. Various predictions based on KSU's high-scoring offense centered around the 3-ball have this a very close game -- our D must be getting some real cred -- hopefully that holds up
  7. So watch the intro lol
  8. Gentlemen we can rebuild him We have the technology We have the capability to make the world's first Bionic Demo Better, stronger, faster
  9. Yeah and I saw somewhere a total point prediction of 157, though that site had IU a 8.5 favorite. I think it's going to be a lot closer, but hope that line holds
  10. Haggerty, I believe, is the top scorer in the nation, and as a team KSU scores in the 90s and efficiently, with their lowest score being I think 84 and averaging 93 ppg - a high output 3-point shooting team. This is going to be tough, tough game and should be a battle of high scoring offenses. Wish it wasn't immediately before the Thanksgiving break, but regardless our guys are going to have to come back scoring and playing with ball movement, energy, and accuracy the way they were playing before the last two games, and slowing Haggerty down while avoiding foul trouble will be a key. 11. Had thought Ristic would be close to returning, Starting to do more things probably isn't contact scrimmaging, guess it'll be a while. That's too bad but hopefully sometime early in conf play.
  12. Ristic played well in Puerto Rico. Getting him back, another point/on ball guard, should help. No leaked reports that I’ve heard but you’d think he be close given the amount of time. all we know is it’s an undisclosed foot injury
  13. Old Bob Newhart joke I hate country music But I don’t want to condescend to those who do like country music For those who do Condescend means to talk down to someone
  14. Hope Moren and staff are building a relationship with her, extremely talented
  15. It’s so easy to throw out negative handwringing after a bad game or two, and disregard the prior games. This IU team is not suddenly defined by the clunker game we just played. A lot of ball to be played and so far there’s still every reason to think we’re a tournament team in DeVries’ first season. I’m optimistic. We have experienced players, shooting and a very good coach. Gotta get through the downs and expect the ups.
  16. I'm a bit wary of this game after the last two clunkers, but based on the earlier games think DeVries will have the team ready and we'll look like the team that took care of Marquette. Wilkerson is due for big game too....
  17. Alexis is a bright spot in this game, and regularly
