  1. Rob’s quote during interview on this moment: ”I love Indiana University” I am 100 percent in Rob’s corner
  2. Trey is a spark plug. Has some Moye in him, has some Sheehey toughness and moxie. Still needs to develop a solid jumper, but we’re definitely better with him than without
  3. Oh I think our guys will be ready, wearing championship unis
  4. That’s pretty wild, especially at this point early in regular season
  5. Largely agree, always more interested in how and whom we play down the stretch — but, when the starters are putting us in a hole, defending poorly, like 1st half against PU, and the guys who come in are killing it, and then staff just blindly go back to the starters in the 2d, as they did, that really bothers me. Blind adherence to the playbook needs to be avoided
  6. Bleary eyed but with a grin all day long :)
  7. Those FT's were big time clutch, very good to see
  8. Sooooo, where's the prediction league results thread from the past two games? :)
  9. Outstanding. And against a deservedly top-ranked (gag) PU team under lots of on ball pressure. As good as it gets.
  10. This. I was immediately frustrated that staff went right back to the starters in the 2nd after the guys off the bench, and particularly Rob, Galloway, Geronimo and Durr, threw PU back on itsheels, with much tougher D and attacking guard play. The starters came in and PU immediately had space outside, the close outs were not good, and PU easily got right back into it. But -- Ivey is a next-level baller, like him or not that guy is exceptional, we knew he and PU would come out attacking -- and after that early PU run the starters, and then everyone as subs came in, brought it, under control, the crowd was there all night, and UNLIKE the game @Iowa, the team, X included, kept their focus and didn't commit TO's -- I mean 3 TO's on the game against PU? That's really, really good. That's not just 'smart basketball,' that's an entire team playing under control under heavy pressure. Couldn't ask for better play down the stretch. Impressive.
  11. Remember how Sheehey would piss off PU, get in guys’ grills and hit them hard in their house? And remember the early debates about who was better, Sheehey or Vic? Galloway reminds me of Sheehey.
  12. Yeah supposed to be a laugh emoji - just funny how the celebration causes a site to crash no harm intended my friend
  13. So my take - jmo - on rushing the court We’re mostly older dudes and parents here, we talk about IU the Blueblood and that’s our experience But it’s not theirs. These are college kids who haven’t even seen IU in the tournament- ever. They haven’t experienced jack. This is their IU now and damn straight they should enjoy this huge W - and it is a huge W! Rob interviewed tonight talked about how special the end was, when his teammates lifted him up in the crowd, how he’ll never forget this moment. Hell yeah that’s what it’s all about. This may well be the start of that return we’ve all been waiting for. Yeah, celebrate as college kids - if I was an 18-22 year old IU student, would i have rushed the court? Damn straight
  14. Both Galloway and Geronimo need — and deservedly are getting — more minutes The flip side is we need one of Stew — an excellent shooter — or Kopp - a generally consistent, good outside shooter, on the floor for spacing. But — as a team we’re not shooting many 3’s I’d go with having Stew or Kopp (i prefer Stew) start, add Galloway or Geronimo. Regardless, finish the game, as we now do, with Galloway.
  15. I love the confidence he showed in him down the stretch Now if he’ll just step away from the set playbook more and not start the 2d with the same starters when they aren’t playing well and the bench guys are killing it
  16. Another game I loved watching Geronimo
  17. Here’s a game that really shows the value of building and playing your depth, not limiting your team to 8 or 9 guys. We have depth, and it’ll just keep improving
  18. He played really well tonight
