Huge 3 at the end of the first half for PSU. The difference between being down 12 and 15 at halftime feels pretty significant for only being 3 points.

Couldn't throw the ball into the ocean if they were standing on the beach right now. Hope today goes differently for us.

Lot of ball game left. PSU does look pretty bad right now though, yikes. Can someone remind me, I'm sure its posted somewhere and I've missed it, but for the double bye do we just need 1 of RU/PSU to win? Or are there other factors I'm forgetting?

Last year's portal has 30+ guys who this year averaged 10+ ppg and 3/4+ apg or rpg. Many in there averaging 15+, I stopped counting after 30 on this page: https://247sports.com/Season/2022-Basketball/TransferPortalTop/ If you can find two bigs who average 12-14 ppg and 8-10 rpg, I think that can be a competitive team. Add a 3 and D kind of wing player and I think we can be in a similar position to this year or better. Still too many variables to say anything with great confidence yet.

Really exciting player. Would be an awesome pick up. Trying not to be too hopeful, but the fact he'll have been to 3 of the best home game environments this year makes me think he likes what he sees. Can't believe he has another year of high school!

I think that largely depends on how good the transfer portal bigs we bring in are. And how much the guys currently on the roster improve over the offseason of course.

Do we have reason to believe he is unhappy/the staff or university is unhappy with him?

Yeah? We'll see. I know people speculate about Bates and Geronimo... I could see Bates transferring more likely than Geronimo. But that's me speculating based on 0 facts lol. Agree Banks will have a bigger role next year, could see him playing ~15-24 mins per game over the course of the season

Could definitely see us going with that lineup for long stretches too. I see him and Geronimo fighting for a lot of the same minutes.

We are really thin in the front court at the moment. Woodson will need to land some major talent in the portal for this roster to be top 5 in the B10, but I don't think it's unlikely. If Bates and Geronimo to take a few steps forward over the offseason, we could be dark horses IMO. Would like to see us pick up some guys who are 6'10"+ for once. Would obviously be a major and much needed pick up for next year's roster. If we can pick up 2 portal bigs and a wing/shooter, we can be competitive again. But we're going to really miss TJD, Race, Kopp... so would be great to have XJ leading in the backcourt

Not to be that guy, but, .... we kind of overcame the officiating last night and still won somewhat comfortably. That foul disparity was no joke. The free throw shooting disparity was no joke. Obviously an IU win didn't fit the B10's ideal narrative... and we still punched them in the mouth and got a win

Still can't get over last night. Man it feels good to sweep those guys. I really dislike Mason Gillis and it makes me really happy to know he got his @$$ handed to him in front of his home fans by their rivals. This season has had its ups and downs, but yesterday's game is the kind that makes you believe this team can make a run in March. That they won without TJD's normal productivity is so impressive. Will miss JHS terribly but will be fun to root him on in the NBA. No other way to put his play last night than "man amongst boys" he could do whatever he wanted on the court, for the most part. Trey had possibly the best game of his career? He and Miller are great guys to have in your rotation. Winners. Curious to see if the officiating being different helps Reneau avoid some foul trouble in the post season. He's got to knock off the freshman boneheaded mistakes. We need him and Race to be better (like they've shown they can be). JG and TB should spend all summer in the film room, weight room, and practice court. If they were where they should be right now, this team would be scary. I'll never stop wondering "what if?" about XJ's injury this year. Really feel for the guy, you know he wants to be out there and he'd add so much to this team. Hope we can finish strong to lock in a 3 seed and make a deep run in the big dance, then bring in a strong haul from the portal. We definitely CAN go past the S16, but WILL we? A lot depends on match ups, staying healthy, etc. But last night shows we've got a fighting chance. Woodson continues to win me over.

A few things break differently this season and we win the conference. It didn't go our way, we didn't get it done. But this is the type of win you have to feel great about, for so many reasons. Really excited to see where Woodson takes this program. Lets ****in go IU!!!!

Not to sound like a hater, Edey has nice touch around the rim, but I'm so unimpressed by him. He'd be nothing if he weren't basically a senior on varsity playing vs HS freshman teams size wise

Lay up would be an easy block. The game is played above the rim at this level. Dunk was the right call IMO
