I just don't see him saying anything until the season is over. They are playing as well as they have in a while, so the timing isn't great unless he is 100% coming back.

I was gonna say, the administration hasn't said Woody is coming back, only "sources". So although I have zero reason to believe he's not, they can still change their mind. I just can't see how you could bring Woody back if the entire team is gone, if indeed there is a mass exodus. But we really don't know who's coming back who's not. We only know that the ONE recruit they had isn't coming. And my hunch is Liam's decision was finalized when Queen went elsewhere and he started realizing he was going to be the only 2024 guy coming in.

The majority of the fans probably have zero idea any of this is being discussed, let's be real. The major turbulence is more so on these boards than anywhere else. I don't think your average fan is checking Trilly and Peegs posts every 5 minutes. Also, booing anyone (besides the opponent) at a home game is lame. Just don't show up. That probably has more impact than anything else. That being said, this is my opinion. I don't just turn on my team because they have a disappointing season. I wasn't a big fan of Woody, but until he's gone, I am rooting for him and the team.

There are also things called tudors and $$$. Nobody in their right mind is turning down NIL money to go make $40,000 a year in the G-League.

Exactly and Have to remember that papa James was the one who said that Bronny 'could get minutes right now' with the Lakers...the Bronny James who is averaging 5 points per game at USC in 20 minutes while shooting 37%. There are guys in the G-League and oversees who could "get minutes" and I am sure they actually produced in college and in their respective league. LeBron should just buy his own team if he wants to just play guys he likes or is related to. Him and LeVar Ball could run out their nepo baby team. I guess that's what's going to happen at OSU? They won't be very good if that's the case. There will be a lot of pressure to play his son whether he deserves it or not.

I agree with this actually. At most schools he'd be safe. He seems to be a very mediocre coach and I wouldn't have hired him to begin with. Hopefully he steps down gracefully. I also hope if he does (or is fired), our fans won't light the torches when the new guy (whomever it is) has his first bad season because it will happen at some point.

I tend to agree with this. The fans and the players are just kids and I don't want them to suffer through a terrible season. I have and always will be a fan of the school and team regardless of who's coaching and the circumstances. They played hard tonight and I think a lot people would agree that goes a long way.

He's been hurt an awful lot at IU. It's hard to be consistent if you can't play.

I agree with this. But it stinks that IUBB sucks again. We've had more down seasons the past 10 years than good and that's not any fun. The most fun I've had with both football and basketball outside of a few seasons here and there are the coaching rumors. Finally I think IUFB is in good hands. IUBB is a different monster and it's time to hire someone who knows how to win and handle the rigors of a big time program warts and all.

I think a better argument is that yes indeed they get a lot of support, so there's no reason not to do your school work these days. If I had a tutor helping me, my grades would sure as hell be much better than they were.

He hasn't really played enough to be consistent or inconsistent. I am not a fan whatsoever or ripping players (especially publicly) but he's been a bust. This team would be totally different and better, regardless of the counter arguments with him starting. But he's not, and hasn't for two seasons now. It's hard to contribute when you can't play.

This is spot on. The next coach has to really be able to handle all the trappings that come with the job, and I would guess that 90% of coaches couldn't/wouldn't succeed here. There is a lot of pressure to win here and as we've seen this season, you have a bad year, people are going to come after you. But with some sustain and real success, you can lessen that pressure when the occasional bad season happens. When you're trending down, it's tough to come back in this job. If true, then Dolson should quit.

Cupps shouldn't even be starting in reality. I love the kid, but he's not ready for prime time. He gets torched more often than not.
