Any rumors on Moten? Or just thoughts in general? He’s pretty highly rated in the portal and had 5 picks, but looks like he didn’t even make Honorable Mention for All-Conference C-USA. Regardless, he’s one of the guys at the top of my list. The idea of having him and Ponds at corner gets me amped.

Wouldn’t they still have to pay him? It’s worth it for staff to work toward a resolution where he can learn accept his actions and make the best of it. Better than letting his NIL deal burn a hole in our wallet if they kick him off.

Right, but do they have deeper pockets than every other team in the country? Because they are dominating the portal. Edit to just add some perspective: Ole Miss has 3 of the top 6 rated players in the portal on 247, and 4 out of the top 25. No other school has more than 1 from the top 25.

Anyone else notice Ole Miss is KILLING it in the portal? I get they had a decent season and an attractive offense, but still… wtf kind of strings is Kiffin pulling down there??

Exactly. On top of that, I don’t think there should be any expectation that we land Purdue players in the portal, there’s a solid chance the rivalry left a bad enough taste in their mouth that we aren’t any of their first options from the start.

Honestly, sounds a like a mature kid. Happy to have him back and I also hope we can help him continue his career at a professional level.

Couldn’t agree more! Been kinda anxious about our performance in the portal so far. We already have a lot of key players returning next year. If we can fill the holes with some solid players, there’s no reason to believe we can’t be better next year.
