When talking about "fit" I can't think of many better than Pearl. He'd bring energy and excitement as a given. He's a coach that knows basketball and would appreciate a massive fan base that also knows bball. He knows Indiana and would be able to recruit the state well. He is good with the media and I'm sure donors. Oh and the dude freaking wins. I just think it'd be a fantastic marriage of coach and program. Also curious to know if his son is actually projecting to be a really good coach (doesn't seem far fetched) and if he is why in the hell we wouldn't want that as a possibility when BP retires. I can buy all of this. If I were a donor I'd want a signed contract from a proven winner before bailing these bafoons out yet again. Be interested to know which donor is talking about Pearl if that is in fact true. Could we have a peepee measuring contest take place with donors? I wonder if Woody will be told today that he won't be back but will get to finish the season and claim retirement at season's end. You don't fire him before the end of the season because there isn't really a point to do that.
