  1. A chance to tie or win and we don't even get a shot off. Absolutely f----ing Inexcusable.
  2. This is shaping up to be one of those games we should win by 15-20, but we'll end up winning by 3-4 -- or we'll lose.
  3. I just watched U.Va. annihilate Clemson. ... How does a Top 25 college team score just 36 points! ... I'm pretty happy with Archie considering the options, but I've said this all along and will continue to say it: If I could have my pick of coaches for IU, there would be only two choices and unfortunately, neither was gonna happen -- Tony Bennett or Brad Stevens.
  4. My best friend's sister's boyfriend's brother's girlfriend heard from this guy who knows this kid who's going with a girl who saw Romeo get a money order for $25,000 from Bryce Drew at 31 Flavors last night. I guess it's pretty serious.
  5. This is a very tough call because I don't know Juwan's status. I'm gonna assume he can't play and say ... Turtles 72 Hoosiers 64
  6. Time to let Nate Sudfeld take some snaps!
  7. Just out of curiosity, has anybody heard anything about Juwan's injury? It's difficult to get news out here in Virginia, and when I googled him, I didn't find out much -- other than he left the Breslin Center on crutches. And I'm guessing while that's a precaution, it still doesn't necessarily bode well.
  8. Mark Turgeon's assistant giving him the scouting report on us with out De'Ron and Juwon (if he can't play) for Monday night ... "You're playing Indiana? They got no head toppers. ... Bunch of mites. Run you off the boards. You got to squeeze 'em back in the paint. Make 'em chuck it from the cheap seats."
  9. Why is Freddie dribbling?
  10. Looks to me like Romeo was getting his calf/shin or his knee worked on.
  11. Unless there is a feud with the administration or something like that, I don't see a successful men's basketball coach leaving IU for another school. Going to the NBA? Maybe. But not another college program. We have lost a successful baseball coach to another program and if we ever were to have a successful run in football, I could see us losing that coach to another program. But men's basketball? I just don't see it happening.
  12. OK, that's cool. I thought I read that he was coming to IU because Allen promised him he'd play QB.
  13. Glad to have this fellow, but I wonder what it means for Reese Taylor. Apparently, the main reason he committed to IU is that Allen assured him he would be a QB -- and he wouldn't have to change positions like other schools wanted him to. I realize breaking a recruiting promise is hardly new, but I'm thinking that with such a high-profile recruit, it might not sit all that well.
  14. I have to admit, this made me laugh -- got a kick out of it. But anybody referring to "The Shot" as anything other than Keith Smart's 16-foot baseline jumper to beat Syracuse in 1987 should be required to turn in his candystripe pants immediately! LOL!
  15. I think everybody needs to hit the brakes here -- just my opinion. It seems to me that anything about Bryce Drew playing dirty is pure conjecture. Just because Vandy isn't playing well and had a great recruiting class coming in doesn't necessarily mean there's been malfeasance going on. Remember in 2010-11? We were 12-20 and 3-15 in the B1G. Yet we landed Cody. And the next season, we won 27 games (11 in the conference) and went to the Sweet 16. So Garland wanted to stay close to home, because he's probably thinking he will be a one-and-doner, and wants his family to be able to see him play. What's wrong with that? And he forms a friendship with Shittu and gets him to go to Nashville, too. And they know Romeo, who makes Vandy one of three finalists. Why does that have to mean Drew is dirty? Alabama, which is not a traditional basketball power, had the No. 4 class this past season. Does that automatically make Avery Johnson dirty? Alabama doesn't have any more of a basketball pedigree than Vandy. Just because a school is getting player(s) we want doesn't mean it had to resort to dirty tricks to get them. Just chill.
  16. Considering the title of this thread, I'm assuming there will be video or photographic evidence? Will you have it fried, roasted, grilled, fricasseed, baked? I think it's a tough bird, so the longer you cook it, the better!
  17. I hope someone has video of Guyton getting welcomed. I'd love to see it ...
  18. Not killing the messenger here, but am a little skeptical about the message. My take on this is if he were at AH tonight to tell Archie yay or nay, then was planning to announce on Friday -- there's no way that info doesn't get out until then. Because Archie's gonna tell his assistants that Romeo is or isn't coming. The assistant will tell someone else. Then someone else will tell someone else. And so on and so on. ... Same thing with telling Vandy or Kansas yes or no. If he has made a decision and has told anyone other than family, it will get out. And even then ...
  19. Didn't have to look anything up.
  20. My prediction for next week: Nick Foles is sacked on Philly's first series and breaks his leg. Nate Sudfeld comes on, throws for 458 yards and four TDs and earns the right to stare down that vaunted Patriots D on Feb. 4 in Minneapolis.
  21. Actually, I was more or less joking when I wrote that. But Brad Johnson was better than Keenum or Foles. I'm sure there are worse QBs to start a Super Bowl. Any one of these might qualify: Chris Chandler, David Woodley, Stan Humphries, Grossman. Maybe Trent Difer ... But Johnson? No. He was better.
  22. Lost in all the hoopla of that final play is the very disturbing fact that either Case Keenum or Nick Foles will start at quarterback in the Super Bowl.
  23. They're gonna stream the game at 4:40, then pick it up AFTER the NFL post-game show? You suck, CBS! Why did they schedule it at 4:30 if they can't show it at that time?
