  1. If I were Michigan, I'd pass on every play -- until we prove that we can cover someone.
  2. Why is he grabbing him? He had no shot at catching that ball.
  3. Obviously, it goes without saying that if we keep it up with the three and outs, we've got no shot. ... Need to keep the D off the field for longer than that.
  4. Good grief -- the guy is lying on the ground, gets up and runs it the rest of the way. How did nobody see that!
  5. Yeah, he was ... I was mostly speaking (writing) to the fact that we just don't get breaks like that in football. Michigan does.
  6. Of course, they'll take away that TD. ... We're IU and they're Michigan. ... That's how it works!
  7. I wanna see a replay. Looked to me of Burgess had gone for the ball, he could have had a pick six. ... Might have been a bit too late in getting over, though.
  8. Cannot keep giving Patterson that much time! He'll tear us up.
  9. Stevie Scott channeling his inner Walter Payton there!
  10. Nope. A teammate on Brooks' Final Four team. Alford and Brooks played in the same Final Four, but on different teams.
  11. I think it's nice of the B1G to have this cute, little OSU-PSU game as an undercard to our main event.
  12. I'm gonna guess Don Schlundt. ... He went to the same high school as my mother, but was a couple years older. Back then, it was Washington Clay because it was not yet part of the South Bend school system. (Later on, of course, it did and is known as South Bend Clay).
  13. Another piece of trivia regarding that situation. ... What Brooks' teammate on his Final Four team became our coach after Tom Crean was fired? ... Well, almost. ... Well, not really almost ... Well, not really close, but had everybody on this site flipping out for one afternoon -- almost like a "War of the Worlds" situation.
  14. Will be a really good measuring stick to see exactly where we are. Those programs are the cream of the crop. We could very well be staring at a couple beatdowns. Hope not, though.
  15. I'm disappointed we missed out on Garcia, but with Brunk and (hopefully) TJD on board for another two years (and maybe longer with TJD, but not holding my breath), I'm not terribly worried. We have time to replenish the bigs. What I'm hoping is that either Galloway or Leal (or both) is a pure shooter who can knock down 3s consistently and poses a real threat to the defense -- ala Blackmon, Zeisloft, Hulls, Roth. We haven't really had one in Archie's tenure and really need that guy we can rely on to bang it home from distance. Early on, our 3-point shooting is still very underwhelming. We appear better at FTs but the 3-point shooting is not particularly good (through four games, 104th in the country and with last night's 3-10 effort, that'll probably drop). And if we can only hit 35 percent against the likes of Troy, Princeton, Western Illinois, Portland State and North Alabama, I don't wanna know how we'll fare against the B1G. (FYI, so far Sean McNeil is 3 for 5 from long range in about 10 minutes a game for West Virginia, which is 3-0. He's the former juco kid many here were salivating over. Have no point with that -- just throwing it out there.)
  16. As the great Norman Dale once said: "I would hope you would support who we are, not who we are not."
  17. And can you imagine if that Larry Bird kid had stuck around and played on that 1975-76 team? It wouldn't have lost a game!
  18. I'm guessing you're not an IU fan and might, in fact, be a troll. My hunch is based on a) the fact that this was your very first post; b) the tone of said post; and c) you obviously don't know the truth about IU athletics -- We're a football school now!
  19. I'm not breaking any new ground here, but my guess is Marquette. The main reason is when when we're getting a recruit, it seems to be pretty well-known (or at least a very, very good guess) on this site that he's coming (Langford, Jackson-Davis, Leal, Galloway). When it's not at-all certain, it seems they always pick somewhere else (Garland, Brooks, Watford, etc). We never seem to get the 50-50 or 60-40 or 70-30 guys -- or whatever ...
