Hope it means something but he’s retweeted all the decision posts, including Al’s leaving. Think he’s just a good friend and teammate.

Feels like a very deliberate wait in rounding out the coaching staff. Definitely could be because Lewis is still coaching.

I feel like the transfer portal is going to eventually work out to be very good for the best programs. Yeah maybe they lose some players who aren’t getting as many minutes but you can find replacements much easier. And it definitely helps programs fill unexpected vacancies when players go pro or you otherwise don’t fill a need with a difference-maker in recruiting. Or even if a player doesn’t develop enough and you have a hole. I also think that after an initial rush, fewer players will transfer as the years go by.

UCLA wouldn't cancel the visit even if they thought they had no shot. Having 5-star prospects on campus is good for the brand, regardless of whether they commit. Having lots of 5-stars around gives it an air of elitism.

The fact that you were arguing a strawman is not an opinion. It's a fact (as can be seen because you can't/won't point me to the language where he argued as such). My opinion (and the conventional wisdom) is that those argumentation techniques are unfair. Not everything can be dodged with the "that's your opinion." Arguing in favor of him is not the same as arguing that he hadn't made it worse than it was under Smith. The second is not necessarily part of the first. Obviously the guy would have a stronger argument if it hadn't gotten worse, but please point me to where he argued that. Otherwise your statement ("He has unquestionable made it worse. I'm baffled that anyone would even attempt at arguing that.") is just building a strawman.

No one was arguing that. it was a strawman argument put up by the person you quoted. C'mon guys, at least argue fairly...

If we're going down this tangent, America in general is pretty unimaginative with names. The Northeast, because of colonization, borrows many British names, including some really obvious ones: New York, New Hampshire, New Jersey.
