  1. Interesting. Al's graphic is done by a college graphic designer who seems to be doing some work for a number of basketball players: https://beingoverlookeddaily.com/about/. It's the "@BOLDCONCEPTS".
  2. Junior Green and Freshman Phinisee in 2018? I like that a lot. Picking up a long term PG every two years is a great way to handle the position if you're not getting 5-star talent. Means you always have an upperclassman who is experienced and an underclassman to learn, Jr/Fr and Sr/So.
  3. http://www.insidethehall.com/2017/04/06/four-star-guard-robert-phinisee-talks-iu-coaching-change-junior-season/ ITH talked with Phinisee about the coaching change. Phinisee said Miller had already reached out and that Miller was making him a priority. Full article linked above.
  4. http://www.insidethehall.com/2017/04/06/four-star-guard-robert-phinisee-talks-iu-coaching-change-junior-season/ Miller has reached out to Phinisee already. Phinisee told ITH that Miller will be making him a priority. Good news.
  5. His Dayton page says that, in addition to Dayton, he worked at Xavier with Thad Matta and Sean. Those are some pretty good coaches he's worked with.
  6. EDIT: Yeah, that ^^^ IUBB twitter just posted a video of highlights from a Hartman shooting workout with CAM. https://twitter.com/IndianaMBB/status/849795270481072128
  7. That's an optimistic view; I hope it works out that way. But can you please not imply things about me given that you've never met me? I'd appreciate it, thanks.
  8. Since I was the one who suggested this, I'll respond. I wouldn't push anyone out for Tilmon. But we have a lot of roster uncertainty right now. We have three potential players who could declare and two recruits who have asked out of their NLI. If the roster moves work out that we have all 13 spots filled, then no Tilmon. If Bryant leaves and we have 12, then yes I'd want Tilmon. Next time maybe ask before you assume?
  9. Yeah I read on an Illini board that he visited ESL in late March. Cuonzo looks sketch as ****.
  10. He re-tweeted his commitment tweet I think? But obviously something changed in a short amount of time, unless he was just playing with the Illini fanbase lol (if so, kudos big man).
  11. Groce getting Akron would be a double-bummer because Jeremiah Tilmon is asking out of his letter to UofI. Would have been incredible if Groce could have brought him over.
  12. In his super-early bracket, Joe Lunardi predicts IU as a 10 seed in the 2018 NCAA tournament, playing in Archie's hometown of Pittsburgh.
  13. Are you trying to tell me that our old staff wasted time recruiting players they couldn't close on?? In the name of Theo Pinson, I say that is outrageous!
  14. Both would be the best option for sure. Garland as primary ball-handler in 18-19. Phinisee is a rotation player 18-19 and a primary ball handler after that season. I just don't know how amenable Phinisee is to that plan.
  15. Do you shoot for the moon on a Garland-level PG or shoot for Phinisee?
  16. Illinois could be better if they keep that recruiting class together. And I think Penn St. will get a little better. Nebraska is going to be an absolute dumpster fire tho.
  17. It was a great game and a great shot. Glad the officiating controversy didn't impact the outcome.
  18. Fair. Hot Take: Alabama will make the Elite Eight next year.
  19. Hot Take: next year's draft looks weaker than this year's, and players considering leaving this year should think about that.
  20. The universe is trying to tell you Crispin's not worth it.
  21. It's really puzzling. Hall makes the exact point you do about wanting to be in the conversation and Crispin goes "Really" and starts blabbing some more about his talking points.
  22. The dumbest take on the hiring of CAM thus far. In the segment, Crispin spends a lot of time saying a lot of things that don't really make sense, but the gist of it is that he believes that Miller is hindered from succeeding because the emphasis is on our outsized expectations instead of on the process of getting there. He thinks Underwood is in a better situation than CAM. It's wildly bad. I thought BTN would get it, but nope. Watch for the lulz.
