  1. Crean's under-the-radar prospects go one of two ways: (1) kids with big potential who rise in estimation when more widely seen and (2) desperation gambles (Priller, April, etc.).* I feel strongly this class is the former. *I cannot figure out what happened with Grant Gelon tbh.
  2. Really excited about Clifton staying! One thing about Crean, he did have a good eye for under-appreciated talent. Really excited to see Clifton develop into his big potential.
  3. Exactly. Reports are Tyler Dorsey from Oregon who declared w/ agent has at least one offer from a Greek team for several hundred thousand dollars. For talented kids who can't improve their stock much, it's a hell of a backup plan if the NBA doesn't work out. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  4. If we have to choose Bryant for next season or Clifton Moore, what would we want? Bryant would obviously make us better next year.
  5. Great and insightful kids. Glad that they'll be suiting up for IU in the fall.
  6. I mean we are fickle. I don't think it was meant as a slight.
  7. I'll be interested to see which assistants (if any) go with him. He told Romeo they would all be in to see him. I wonder if he'll full court press Phinisee and other in-state recruits.
  8. Crispin's fly-by mumbling about process is back!! http://btn.com/2017/04/12/crispin-time-to-value-process-of-building-true-winning-culture/ One notable low-light: This is so dumb. First, consistent success was the goal, not just consistency. Second, Crean's process was bad, and it was the reason that lots of us wanted him to go. His recruiting had fallen off and problem areas (defense, turnovers) were not addressed over a number of seasons. IU didn't let Tom Crean go because he missed the NCAA tournament this year. IU let Tom Crean go because his. process. was. bad. I hate these idiotic fly-by takes that don't bother to learn anything about the situation that they are writing about.
  9. Great news! Smith would have had other good options, so Archie must have made a good impression!
  10. Robert Johnson is also entering the draft without an agent, IU announces on Twitter. Full List: OG (agent) and TB, JBJ, and Rojo (no agent)
  11. Jeff Goodman‏Verified account @GoodmanESPN 2m2 minutes ago Indiana sophomore big man Thomas Bryant will declare for the NBA Draft, but will NOT hire an agent, source told ESPN.
  12. I heard that Schilling wasn't a major factor in his recruitment. And there are the rumblings about his interest in UCLA being tied to their UA contract.
  13. Dayton Flyers beat writer about McKinley Wright: David Jablonski‏Verified account @DavidPJablonski Replying to @sullymygoodname @handsomeghost and 2 others I don't think he'll go to IU because some UD fan changed his avatar to an IU logo and started saying bad things about him. Really. If true and he's being serious, my goodness the amount of salt...
  14. Mike Miller‏ @MikeMillerHT 1h1 hour ago Clifton Moore's AAU coach says last night's meeting with Archie Miller went well, but Moore has not yet made a final decision. #iubb
  15. No one drafting OG is doing so under the belief that he's a finished product. He'd be a perfect pick in the mid-late first round for a team with playoff potential that won't expect him to start. Then he'll be able to work on his skill development as his career without having to go to school, start for a team, etc. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  16. Jeff Goodman tweets that OG will declare and sign with an agent. I personally think it's the right move for OG. He already has a serious injury and another could kill his draft stock. And he's still a projected mid 1st rounder. Best of luck OG! Can't wait to follow your NBA career! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  17. I listened to a few interviews Al did and he said that CAM didn't promise him playing time but told him he'd get it if he earned it. And from some of the other comments about making an impact this year I don't think they talked redshirt. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  18. Ed Schilling (Assistant), Bruiser Flint (Assistant), Tom Ostrom (Assistant), Clif Marshall (Strength Coach), Bill Comar (DBO), Derek Elston (Director of Player Development?)* *Jordy Hulls is also looking for a job.
  19. Can't hurt that Schilling has deep Adidas ties and Romeo is an Adidas kid.
  20. I don't think that's an "or" situation. We'll still have guard spots in 2018.
  21. Someone with photoshop skills PLEASE do what you know we all want!
  22. Osterman says that CAM met with Al tonight. Wasn't he supposed to meet Smith tonight and Durham this weekend? Hopefully it's not a bad sign re:Smith.
