(2024) TE Brody Kosin to Indiana
Artie86 replied to Lebowski's topic in Indiana Football Recruiting Forum
I really like what he said here.... “I’ve always been big on finding a home and being loyal to where I’m at, and I think I’m loyal to IU,” Kosin told The Daily Hoosier in a phone interview. “I love the campus, I love the place. And I’m falling in love with the coaches now, again.” -
....ummm, nope....Still doesn't make sense. lol

lol….what really is apesh*t? How does that phrase even relate to going nuts or crazy? lol …. Sorry, just bored. Lol

Coach Curt Cignetti to INDIANA... Forever and Ever, Amen!
Artie86 replied to mamasa's topic in Indiana Hoosiers Football
I'm playing the Devil's advocate here....It's hard for me to wrap my head around seeing IU go from a bottom dweller to a team with a winning record. It's been this way for so long, with so many different coaches. What is so different and special about Coach Cignetti? I'm sure there are current IU players and IU portal players that feel that way too. I am all in on what Coach Cignetti is bringing. He's not going to change the way he does things, just because it's the mighty BIGTEN. If anything, IMO, he wants to "shock the world" on how we're going to see IU next year and in the future. I'm sure he's heard how bad IU has been for decades and how many coaches have vowed to turn the program around and failed. Coach Cig is not the soft, fuzzy and sensitive coach we are used seeing and that may turn some fans and players off. However, his commitment to a consistent plan, method and style of coaching as well as playing has been obvious. It will take time, energy and effort to build what he wants and is accustomed to. I can't wait to see he has in store for IU. GO IU! -
I know Prime wasn't the only coach to do it, it just reminds me of our current situation. CCC is basically saying and I paraphrase, "You are not going to be a good fit for me and this team and I don't see a place for you here. You will need to find somewhere else to play. I wish you the best of luck."

Alan Soukup, a former IU/CTA commit appears to be frustrated about his previous scholarship offer and the new IU coaching staff..... I suspect this has happened a lot and will continue. I mean,....this really reminds me of what Coach Prime did pre-season at Colorado. Oh, well. Gotta get his type of guys.

....Ahh, yes. I forgot about queen city. It could be, but still, it comes across as he it the King and best thing coming for Cincinnati.... That's just me.
-
Sitting there in a "King" chair, sort of like royalty.....smh
-
....All very nice, but that doesn't always make playing football better. I guess to some people it would. JMO. Wow...He must think he is King now.... I get a very arrogant feel here...... I can't stand when player come across this way. JMO.

I'm just wondering if Coach C has a different plan for him, ....one where his speed and quickness doesn't require him to be a major focal point on both return team and running plays on offense?... JMO

I wonder if his decision is because of the possibility of JMU transfer, McCloud coming to IU. I sort of get that feeling. JMO

There could/may actually be some successful position coaches out there that would love to have the opportunity to coach along side Coach Cignetti too.... JMO -

I respectfully disagree....Personally, I love Adidas. I am speaking about fan apparel, not basketball or football player's equipment. I know it's not about me, but the kids and what they like. I love shoes and have never liked the way Nike shoes look overall and fit compared to Adidas. That's obviously my personal opinion. -

It will be interesting reading the responses of current IU players about this hire. How many will now jump into the portal, decide to stay or withdraw and want to come back (if Coach Cignetti wants them back)...?? -

For what it's worth....the Michigan fans are all very disappointed in losing Hart, that is, if IU hires him.....
