  1. He’s cookin something up?
  2. I agree that Mike Woodson the player should have nothing to do with Mike Woodson the coach and shouldn’t be treated as equal, but the worse this gets, it becomes more about Mike Woodson the person, which in turn brings out negative comments about both player/coach. Not saying it should happen, but when Woodson the person starts to say/do the things he’s been saying about how he needs to go about things and giving off the “I don’t give a damn about what anyone else thinks, so screw you and you’re not a true fan if you’re not a fan of Mike Woodson”, I can see how it could make people start to not give a crap about Woodson the player, hence letting their frustrations out by commenting on that to go along with the other stuff. It’s unfortunate, for I appreciate what he has done for the program as a player, and wanting to try to get the program back to prominence, but people are frustrated, he doesn’t care, and it’s going to ruin how he’s perceived as a person/player/coach if he doesn’t go about ending this with us a certain way. He wants to be remembered as not only a great player for IU, but the coach who brought IU back to the top, but those things will come in a very distant 2nd and 3rd to a 1st of “Guy who burnt down his program because he was too stubborn to not do things the Mike Woodson way, which wasn’t good at all to begin with and he and his buddies didn’t care.” People know he was a great player, but the state we’re in now is making it go lower on his “Things i did at IU” list.
  3. At this point if Woodson strikes out in the portal, I’d love to just be able to go with Shrews right now instead of deal with a crap Woodson year. Then we’d at least have a good shot of putting together a decent 2025 class because he could possibly bring in Mullins and Sisley to build with. It’s not gonna happen, but boy would I love it. I’d rather count on Shrews working out here with our resources and name than to risk digging the program deeper underground.
  4. Well that’s cool, yeah didn’t know that part of it. I guess I just figured since they were Michigan fans that he’d wanna end up there.
  5. Connor went to school in my hometown where I graduated at Central Noble. If I’m remembering correctly, I knew him and his family being Michigan fans. Handfuls of older family pics of he, his brother, and parents in Wolverine gear……Oh, and if I’m remembering correctly again, Michigan just announced a new coach the other day… who knows if he’ll actually end up there, but I wouldn’t be surprised if he had the chance.
  6. Plenty of time for Pearl to work the portal for his new team now. Gosh dang it. I can’t do this lol The pain.
  7. I think Pearl wanted to lose that on purpose because he’s itching to get to Btown haha
  8. In that interview he said it was unfinished business and NIL that were the deciding factors in his return. Thinks they will bring in the pieces needed to get a Big Ten championship and go on to make a big run in NCAA tournament.
  9. Yep and him being spot on about stuff like that really makes you even more pi$$ed off at how ridiculous and pathetic our situation really is. To know that those types of issues are actually real life and what we are dealing with is just beyond crazy to me.
  10. For most of us who think Woodson needs to go and the multiple reasons why, he goes on a big rant about tons of things that we could all agree with. What he says at exactly 14:28 is spot on lol. Anyways, he pretty much echoes what Brian Evans said about the program and how Woodson has been acting but has a lot more stuff to say about it.
  11. Woodson after next season: “well guys, I mean, it’s simple. We had to play inside out again because I wasn’t able to get any guards in the portal. So I don’t know what else to tell you.” Us:
  12. Man, if Woodson strikes out in the portal I’m gonna feel so guilty as fan knowing it was all my fault.
  13. I wonder how Javon Small’s “feeding it into the post” skills are. If it’s something he wants to brush up, then IU is the place for him
  14. True, I agree. I think I just mistakenly worded that in a way that suggested it wasn’t something he indeed already does.
  15. And that just drives me crazy. I’d MUCH rather get a staff in here who could strike gold on the ‘25 class to develop and build a program with than to have Woodson think he’s doing good by buying the “best ranked” portal plug ins. Him being lazy about recruiting and just preferring to treat this like an NBA free agency sucks. Let’s just use someone’s money to try and buy players in hopes to cover me up sucking as a college coach. Makes a grown man wanna cry ha. I agree with someone else who said now that Woodson knows people don’t like him, he’s just gonna throw his middle finger in the air and go against what anyone but himself wants to do.
  16. I wonder if when Dolson had player meetings if he was like “if any of you who want to leave, do you think you’d stay if I was able to land this guy..”, or if they truly do want to play for Woodson, or are fine with just getting a pay bump to play for him again. I thought I saw someone mention maybe some of the players are gonna wait out deciding on entering the portal based on if we end up getting a new coach that they’d be willing to stay for.
  17. Yeah that’s what’s making me hope certain scenarios can work themselves out where he gets the boot. Certainly not saying your info is wrong, and that does indeed bum me out knowing it’s what you’re hearing, but knowing there’s still others out there who think something could happen where a change could be made makes it REALLY hard to accept the fact that he’ll be here and try to turn my focus to how his season is going to go. I guess when you want someone gone so bad you just look for any teeny tiny speck of light that could lead to it.
  18. So at this point are we 100% certain Mike Woodson will be the coach for the 2024-25 season, or are there still things that could happen that makes Dolson be able to get someone else before next season starts? Just want to know if it’s worth clinging to the sliver of hope i have left that there could still be scenarios that happen that make him not end up being the coach. If not then whatever, and I’ll just try to shift to the “acceptance” stage for next season haha
  19. Yep, the other day when you said he’s putting together a staff for Louisville I automatically got pi$$ed cuz I knew it’s gonna be one I wish we had at IU
  20. I know some people say maybe Mike worked some magic and got everyone to stay. Maybe I’m not thinking correctly on this, but wouldn’t that not be very encouraging either? Keeping the same group of guys that might have snuck into the NIT? I think it’s a damned if you do damned if you don’t with what Woodson does at this point. Keep everyone he has now means how can we change from the season we just had, or mostly everyone he has leaves and he buys a bunch of players he can’t do anything with. Ahhh misery ha. Ready for the tournament to get here to see if any results of others end up starting to produce some traction for who is gonna be getting who in regards to the coaching carousel.
  21. Especially knowing he’s getting paid triple the amount just to talk up his coach and say we should chill because they’re gonna run it back next year.
  22. So in that case, we just hope he puts together a good team and know next year will be his last and announces retirement, or should we be worried that if he actually is able to put together a stellar group and do really well that it’d have him stay even longer? I know Jerry mentioned Dolson putting expectations on him as far as wins/losses go, so I wonder if it’d be safe to just kinda root for a pretty decent year and as long as he doesn’t make the Final Four or win B10 championship then we’ll know he’s gone and we can be done with the mercenary crap. If he is gonna get to be here for his 4th year even if he strikes out in the offseason with people leaving, then it kinda seems pointless to hope that it happens….because if it did make him get kicked out and we move on to someone else then I'm sure most here would hope he strikes out ha
  23. Yep, which those were probably a given anyways and I would assume doesn’t really move the needle on the situation as far as who we are losing on the roster.
