Listening to some of the HH podcast with Brian Evans. The Hysterics guys talk like they’ve had enough and don’t like the direction the program is headed. Ward asked Evans how, as fans, we can “provoke change without hurting the program.” Went on to say “nobody wants to say this isn’t working and that it not going to work…but at a certain point you just feel like that’s where it’s at. It hasn’t been working, and I don’t see a scenario where it will be working next year or the year after, and that’s part of the frustration….we really don’t have any way to affect it other than ok we won’t give to NIL, we won’t go to games…i have to actively hurt my program because I think that’s what’s gonna make it better in the long run? It sucks.” He also thought it was ridiculous for Woodson to go off on a player like Galloway the way he did.

Ok, since we’re about to reach page 200, let’s get a consensus on everything that has transpired. As of right now, do we think Woodson will be gone after this season or not? I need to see a bunch of “after this season 100%” haha

It’s crazy to know we have to lose out to feel confident we will make a change. Even if we happen to win a couple more, it’s not like it’s gonna make the fans think it’s worth staying the course with this coach. The way Woodson is acting, the way media is really starting to get vocal about a change, the way we’ve already lost games in ways we have no business losing them….this needs to end. Sucks that we think the only way administration 100% moves on is if we lose out. They should already be thinking we should with everything that has transpired up until today. It’s shameful.

Must be getting an overwhelming amount of emails/complaints and have set up an auto response because they can’t keep up.

Let’s get Dusty May in here, have him bring assistant Abernethy and some players with him, and keep Walsh on staff. I bet he’d be able to keep McNeeley on board.

I just don’t want to have to wait til the end of the season to know 100% sure whether we are making the move. Obviously they probably wouldn’t announce it until then, but having some concrete reassurance aside from the obvious dumpster fire would be great ha.

Yep I feel bad for Trey. He doesn’t deserve to be going through this. Epitome of working his butt off for the university he loves and then stuff gets taken out on him for coach’s heat. Type of guy you really don’t want to leave and play elsewhere but at the same time not blame one bit for leaving for not wanting to play for a guy using him as an excuse.

I know Woodson wants to look like a savior and not a quitter, but at this point, most fans would consider him a savior by quitting…

I’ve reached the point of wanting the season to be over with just to hurry up and see if there’s gonna be a change made. Heck, I was probably already there, but last night just can’t happen. I don’t want the next game to get here because I want to watch it, I want it to get here because it means it’s one more loss to add to hoping we get a different coach, and dangit that’s sad and ridiculous.

Seeing a lot of people saying this team has quit. Isn’t that a sign of them tuning out their coach and wanting to be done with him. Shouldn’t that give Dolson and anyone else of importance the hint that we need to move on? Or is that just gonna make them think “Woodson needs to get a different group of players in here that won’t tune him out.” If that ends up being the case then yikes. I reallllly hope they don’t see it that way.

Please tell me that moves the needle on him being gone after this year. Only two chances we have left to win in front of our home crowd now are against Wisconsin and Michigan State. Literally let a winless road team in conference come in and beat us pretty easily. Listening to Fischer on the radio during the game, obviously there wasn’t much to cheer about, but when they happened to do so, you could tell there were a lot less people there because of the lack of volume it seemed to have. Plus when they booed, boy did you hear it clearly.

Nebraska 0-7 on the road in Big Ten and just beat IU in Assembly Hall by 15….let’s seriously be done with this. Woodson will say they did a good job getting it all the way back down to a 3 point deficit…you had no business being down by 20 at half to begin with!

I REALLY REALLY hope Dolson doesn’t see this as Woodson just needs a new group of players on the team. Get new leadership in here who can get the program where it’s supposed to be.

Woodson (probably): “I mean they made shots and we didn’t. I’m not out there missing the shots, guys”

As sad as it is, and I would never root for our players to lose, it kinda sucks that the only way we could move on from a coach we don’t want anymore is for the team to lose out, which in the back of your mind makes you hope it happens to cause change. His “I’m not going anywhere anytime soon guys, I’m just not “ (cuz I’m Mike Woodson)…just really makes me mad. Almost laughably mad. I remember him about a month ago or so before it got THIS hostile, whether it was on Don Fischer’s show or a presser, not too sure on that, he said “I just hope the fans still love me”….lol well at this point Coach, I think the only way that could happen for most people is if you man up and realize this is too much for you and do what’s best for the program by stepping aside and letting someone else take the reigns. I just think fans would respect and “love” him a hell of a lot more if he walked away rather than let his stubborn @$$ ego get in the way to try to prove something that isn’t there.

After Woodson’s comments saying “I’m not going anywhere anytime soon guys, I’m just not”, and knows he’s obviously got Quinn protecting him, do you think at this point the only way he is gone after this season is if a big donor is like “you know what screw this let’s get this guy out of here” and ponies up the cash, or do you think other things could still happen that wouldn’t take something quite as drastic?

Yep, and people may argue that it’s a different animal in the Big Ten and would be way easier to win at a place like FAU than at IU, but I would counter with he'd be able to get a lot more high caliber players who would be way more willing to play at a place like IU than at FAU, and be able to know how to use those players a heck of a lot more than what we’re seeing now.

I pray for a Chris post that says “guys, we did it. He’s gone.” Lol

It'll be interesting to see if Reneau has a huge game after Woodson said he was awful, or if he’s like screw this and doesn’t give full effort. I’m curious to see, aside from the outcome of the game, how the coach and players act during the game. Players obviously aren’t blind to what’s going on and if any of them are on the same page we are and have tuned Woodson out, then I’m sure it’ll be more noticeable with how much fan displeasure has seemed to really spread across social media. i know Woodson is saying “I’m not going anywhere anytime soon” and won’t walk away from being able to stuff all that money in his pockets, so I guess at this point people can only hope he gets blindsided by the right people getting rid of him just as bad as he was blindsided by JHS being a pro so soon. The season isn’t over yet so it makes sense either way that he says he’s not going anywhere because any coach is gonna act like they’re the coach until they’re actually not. I just keep wondering if there’s really anything that can happen that would get someone to pull the plug on him and it not have to be as bad as losing out rest of the season.

Right, no kidding. I could be forgetting some things about the end of Archies run, but I feel like this time with Woodson seems way worse than wanting Archie gone. Maybe I’m just pissed at his “I’m not going anywhere because I’m Mike Woodson” demeanor.

I mean, with the outlook for next season paired up with how Woodson has been acting lately….have we reached the point yet of wanting him gone more so than Archie, or not yet? That was something I saw Jim Coyle bring up on his show because he had a fan text it in. He didn’t think we have reached the point YET with Woodson that we did of wanting Archie out.

Seems like most of the media outlets are putting out stories with the headline of Woodson saying “I’m not going anywhere anytime soon, guys”. What seems different and off about it happening is instead of it being them trying to get fans to back off and realize they need to stop wondering if he’s gonna be gone and just support him, it feels like it’s more of a “well great, this sucks”.

I’ve seen people say we need to keep Woodson because we can’t keeping going through a cycle of hiring and firing coaches every 3-4 years. I get that…but get rid of this one, and THEN we can stop doing that ha
