  1. If I didn't have $110 on the game I would root for Michigan and the B1G. Villanova may be the best college team we have seen since the 2007 Florida or 2009 UNC team. They may lose Brunson and Bridges for next year but they will still be just fine.
  2. Yeah they said he's the next Scotty Hopson and Tim Langford is the next Lavar Ball. I'd take Romeo over any recruit coming in. Calipari not winning a title with John Wall and DeMarcus Cousins is way worse than not getting past the Sweet 16 with Victor Oladipo and Cody Zeller.
  3. I agree. Let them go. Only a handful are ready for the NBA anyway. Bamba, Bagley, and Ayton really didn't benefit (they received some I'm sure) from playing college basketball.
  4. I think the thing with Kansas is that there isn't going to be enough ball to go around. Vick/Newman are nowhere in NBA Mock Drafts (doesn't mean anything as we saw with Troy and JBJ). They have 3 stud frosh coming in plus Vick/Newman/Azubuike/Garrett/Lightfoot/Lawson bros. They will be the preseason favorite to win it all. I think Grimes and the other Kansas recruits see that. Bill Self has proven that he won't start a top 5 recruit (Cliff, Diallo, Henry, Selby). I too dislike with the "Vanderbilt has more talent" than IU crap. They were dead last in the SEC.. Garland is a good player but he is way over-hyped. He may be more talented as of now than RP but let's see who will be better after 4 years. I believe it will be the Darius Garland show next year. I see them having a season similar to the one Alabama just had. A few decent freshmen but not a great roster and an average (at best) head coach. I'm feeling more and more confident that Romeo will go to IU. I'm just surprised that UNC was eliminated back in November. I think he would fit in perfectly there (minus the whole class thing).
  5. I've got Villanova over Michigan. I really like this Final Four. Loyola was obviously very underrated.
  6. I'll add this too: Bill Self really hasn't had too many one and dones. Wiggins, Embiid, and Josh Jackson. Seems like he has had a lot of busts. Josh Selby, Xavier Henry, Diallo, etc... He takes chances on guys like Thomas Robinson who are role players at first and then develop into All-Americans. It works, just I think it hurts their case with Romeo.
  7. They both have a few years of eligibility left. Add them, the two incoming recruits and the Lawson bros I don't see how everyone is happy there.
  8. Are Vick and Newman pro prospects? Don’t see them in the top 60 on any mock drafts. That fares well with Romeo. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners
  9. The NCAA Tournament is my favorite second sporting event behind the Super Bowl. It is still exciting to me even though IU has rarely been a factor in it lately.
  10. Sounds like Archie is there to watch Forest Park Fr Curt Hopf. Could stick around to watch Trey Galloway.
  11. I hope everyone stays! Just think one person will leave.
  12. Thoughts on last night 1) How much longer are UK fans going to take this? They are losing their top 3 players this year and maybe more. Only have 3 recruits coming in next year too which is his lowest number. I predict he is gone if they don't make the final four next year. 2) Last night is why I love the tournament. Anyone can win. Yeah, it hurts ratings (Loyola-KState will probably be the least sexiest Elite 8 matchup we've seen). I don't ever remember one side being so lopsided. 3) Better games tonight. I'd be surprised if Duke loses. Outside of that nothing would surprise me tonight.
  13. Not to get off topic but when is ESPN airing Bob Knight's 30 for 30? They teased it during the Super Bowl.
  14. Since 2000 it has really been 2002, 2012, 2013, 2016. That's about it.. 2008 should've been special but we all know what happened.
  15. What's crazy is nobody was saying that a year ago. Kind of why freshman/sophomore rankings are pointless.
  16. Wow... they called a tech on Cal. That rarely happens.
  17. No big reason but I'd rather have TJD. Still think he will be a solid player.
  18. Hopefully another Indiana program in the NCAAs!
  19. Official: Walter McCarty to the Aces. Great hire for them.
  20. That is a great lineup as well. Is 247 a good place to look at recruiting rankings? It has Hunter as a top 50 recruit, Anderson in the top 100, and Phinisee close to it.
  21. I think Clifton Moore. I could very well be wrong. I just think he would've played a little more since we needed a big man after De'Ron went down.
  22. PG Devonte Green SG Romeo Langford SF Ryan Taylor PF Juwan Morgan C ???? Bench: Justin Smith, Zach McRoberts, Jerome Hunter, Robert Phinisee, Al Durham, Damezi Anderson I am just uncertain about our bigs still. But this is a strong lineup.
  23. Would Devonte start at the point if Romeo AND Taylor commit? Or would it be Phinisee?
  24. Thank goodness the games are back today. I think tomorrows action is going to be better. I got Nevada, UK, Michigan, and the Zags. Michigan is really underrated. I think Nevada could potentially beat UK in the Elite 8. The Martin bros and Stephens can ball. Not sure how they were just a 7 seed.
  25. It's easy to say now but I always thought Hollowell and Perea were very overrated. We really needed those guys to come off the bench as Freshman. The '13 team really only had 6 players. I wish Patterson could have stuck around he could have been decent.
