Thank goodness the games are back today. I think tomorrows action is going to be better. I got Nevada, UK, Michigan, and the Zags. Michigan is really underrated. I think Nevada could potentially beat UK in the Elite 8. The Martin bros and Stephens can ball. Not sure how they were just a 7 seed.

It's easy to say now but I always thought Hollowell and Perea were very overrated. We really needed those guys to come off the bench as Freshman. The '13 team really only had 6 players. I wish Patterson could have stuck around he could have been decent.

I'll be honest that's the reason I'm not going anymore. Warren Central and Carmel deserve to be there but it just isn't as appealing to me as a Romeo vs. Damezi state finals game would be. Bell and Michael Mulloy are great players so that should be fun to watch. Bosse vs. Culver should be a good one. Galloway is considered a top sophomore in the nation so that should be interesting as he goes against Lairy from Bosse. Really surprised he is going to Miami (OH). I get he is small but Tyler Ulis from UK was a baller and he wasn't much bigger. Don't know much about the 2A game but the 1A game will be fun to watch. It's always great watching the small schools play. Still wish I could've seen the single class tournament.

What is funny about this is UE's top three are all Evansville Harrison grads (Cheaney, McCarty, and Ragland). There are also two former Harrison grads coaching in the sweet 16. Chris Lowery (former SIU HC and current K-State assistant) and Brad Brownell (Clemson HC). I wonder what they put in the water there.

Exactly. We were in the Big Ten cellar for three straight years. While the Big Ten wasn't as strong we finished 6th and have more talent coming in/back In 2011-2012 we needed a big man and we got one in Cody. Next year we need a big time scorer and we have a chance with Romeo. I think without Romeo we are a 9-11 seed next year. Maybe better with a grad transfer. With him I think we contend for the Big Ten and have a shot at the Final Four.

I picked Michigan State to win it all in 2014, 2016, and this year. I had them in the final four in 2012 when they were a 1 seed. Izzo used to be known for playing deep into March. Since surprisingly making the final four in 2015 his teams have flopped. I feel like the last five-six years he has had the most talent he has had since the Flintstones days. Gary Harris, Adrien Payne, Keith Appling, Denzel Valentine, Draymond Green, Miles Bridges, Jaren Jackson just to name a few. I wonder what has been going on.

Hopefully one of the four (Race, De'Ron, Jake, Clifton) step up. I agree that is the key for this team. We could be top ten good if all goes right. I'm just ready to actually be excited for IU to play deep into March.

If we add Romeo and Taylor and keep Juwan then I will be looking forward to next season just as much as the 2012-2013 one.

I would love to see Calbert succeed at UE. There is no reason they cannot compete. Look at Northern Iowa in the same conference. They were nothing a 15 years ago. Loyola made its first sweet 16 in 30 years.

I think both lineups are 20 win starting lineups. I just think Romeo is going to have an enormous impact on where he goes. I really do believe (yes, I'm biased) that we could be a final four contender next year with him. I think he should be the #1 or #2 player in the country for 2018. Ryan Taylor is a good 5th year senior but he's not Romeo Langford. I say Lineup A is Elite 8/Final Four and Lineup B is Rd of 32/Sweet 16.

I'm curious if this team will go after a Big man grad transfer or if they have confidence in De'Ron or one of our freshmen.

Does the author realize Indiana wasn't even in the race when Crean was here??? UE could offer Romeo but that doesn't mean anything.

Good hire for Georgia and good for Tom Crean. I think this is a better fit than Pittsburgh. I Couldn't see him competing with UNC, Duke, and Virginia. Hope he beats Kentucky!

Taylor played at Ohio for a year and then transferred to Evansville. UE just never had enough talent to support him. I don't think he'd average 20 points a game at IU, but he would be very good!

I’ll have nightmares that UK will cheese it’s way into the final four like 2011 and 2014. If they get past Virginia I don’t see them losing to the lower half of the region. That being said Buffalo looked really good. I hope they can knock them off. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners
