  1. By rule it was indeed targeting. But I understand why it wasn't called. Keep in mind folks, IUFBs defense ain't no slouch and will be subject to these types of hits as well. Targeting is kind of a double edged sword for me. On one hand the laws of physics just doesn't allow a defender to prevent it. On the other hand CTE is a real thing and acknowledging it and trying to address it via rules like targeting is a good thing for humanity in general. I think the biggest beef I have with targeting is the rule is such a stiff penalty. I wish the punishment would change to something like a flagrant 1 vs 2 in basketball or a yellow vs red card in soccer. In regards to the game I don't think it would have made a difference in the outcome because they were down 14. They may have cut it to a 7 point difference but then they'd have to get the ball back with not a lot of time left. They'd have had a chance to tie the game, but not likely.
  2. Hudl Account Also keep in mind his brother and 2023 commit is on the team. Here's Daeh's Hudl Account
  3. I'm not seeing anything on his social media accounts saying this. Not saying you're wrong, just curious what's your source here? Because he played last week and that makes me wonder why he'd jump ship on his current team with the season already started.
  4. Yeah this transfer was personal. Best of luck to him.

  9. In my opinion, NIL is playing a factor here. If everything stays status quo I foresee major conference break ups in all sports. Something like The "we pretty much know one of these teams is going to win it all and you can make a lot of money" playing in this conference. Like a 12 Team Football Conference might look something like this. Alabama Notre Dame USC OSU Michigan Oklahoma Clemson LSU Texas Tennessee Nebraska Miami (FL) And a Basketball Conference might look something like this UCLA Kentucky UNC Duke Indiana Kansas Called Blue Blood Conference or something. And NIL will be the driving force to it all.

  12. Playing for Coach Schiano is very attractive to student-athletes. He's got NFL experience and he's back home. They're going to be competitive. Bottom line, the Big Ten East is a beast of a division. I would argue it's the toughest division on the nation. But SEC folk would beg to differ, and rightfully so. I'm just a biased fool on the internet in the grand scheme of things.
  13. Thanks for sharing. Appreciate it.

  16. CTA has been on record saying a solid front 5 is vital to his vision/success on the offensive side of the ball. I think he said that during the Mike DeBord days. He might have changed that philosophy since but in my opinion it looks like he's focusing on positions needed to compete year after year. I could be wrong but it looks like he's of the school of thought that a solid front 5 and front 7 is the secret sauce to compete for wins.
