I don't really have a dog in this fight but throughout is entire career as a head coach a McCollum offense averages 76 points a game. Basketball isn't my specialty but I'm certain one player dribbling the ball around taking a shot with less than 5 seconds is what his offense is doing. His offense is centered around the player you're dissing, that is true. I don't really want to break down his player position stats but I'm willing to bet that the point guard is the foundation and glue of that kind of production of having a career average of 76 points a game. I'm not looking forward to see what he does with players that has the skillset like Isiah Thomas. -
Ron Howard voice over, "McCollum said no." I've been offered a couple of jobs where this was my answer when I didn't really want the job but wanted to keep my door open just in case I didn't get the job I really wanted. Sounds like he's either content where he's at or he has his eyes on a bigger prize.

It's been covered in the thread dedicated to him but his screen motion offenses actually produce. They make layups and drain 3s. They force defenses to play hard every second of every possession and they hardly take midrange shots. If a defense slips up for one second they take advantage of it. It's really fun to watch in my opinion. It's his defenses that most folks don't talk about and the reason why his teams are almost always in the game. -
Maybe someone like @Chris007 can help with this.

Bennett Stirtz. His name is Bennett Stirtz. Y'all probably know his name now.

Well, I'm also a UE fan down here so, well, that would suck too. Lol. -

Probably won't. But will play professionally. Just like all the other D2 point guards coached by McCollum. McCollum is to PGs like Cignetti is to QBs. Did I mention that I was upset he didn't say yes before DeVries? -

They run based off defensive turnovers. Their D is solid. Excellent at confusing their opponents. -

I don't think they are. They're pretty solid on D and can hit threes. It'll all be centered around Bennett Stirtz. McCollum basketball at its finest. -

Not gonna lie, upset McCollum didn't say yes before DeVries. -

Unless they figure out the length. It's gonna be pretty to watch if they do. They'll end up in the Sweet 16 if they can. -
It worked for me too! His hire still has me on cloud nine and he would have to really mess up things for me to take him off the pedestal. He made the dream hire I've been wanting since Mallory was let go. And to have Whitten support the football program? Oh man, I've been dreaming for this for a very very long time.
-
THIS^^^^ IUFB is over 80% of the entire IUAD revenue stream. Dolson and Whitten were the first two to FINALLY get it!!!
-
I thought this stat was interesting.

Eff the haters man. Keep on keepin' on. This might have already been asked and my apologies if so. I'm curious, have you heard any other info regarding the pecking order between the two coaches? I know you mentioned McCollum was like 1b at one point. I'm wondering if you happen to know if that order was reversed, meaning DeVries was 1b and McCollum was option 2.
-
Best of luck to Coach DeVries. I hope he raises a dormant program that's been begging for an awaken. The standard has never changed but the coaches have. Coaching matters.

I suppose. But both of those schools also have natty banners hanging, sorta, in the rafters within the last 10-15 years or so. We're in a viscous cycle of mediocrity.
-
I have a horrible feeling it's number 2. And if that's the case, it just means the IUBB isn't as coveted as I thought it was.

He tied for 1st once in the conference. That's not winning. That's tying. I just don't understand why we should be excited about this hire.
