Yeah, and there are no banners in your way at Vandy. -

Maybe I'm incorrect, but I didn't take that to mean he would announce at the game. Just that he wanted it done before the season started. -
Suspended for the whole game that doesn't count??? Wow, must have been pretty bad.

So..., you're say as a fan base, we're kinda like that girl who tracks you down at work because, "I thought you seemed a little distant last night." -

Exactly! He hasn't even coached a game at IU. The fact that he has these kinds of recruits even interested, along with the current incoming class, is pretty impressive. -
Prediction League (Game 9 - Wisconsin 11/4/17)

I had a bad feeling about the Maryland game, but picked the Hoosiers anyway. For some reason, I'm feeling better about this game, although it defies any reasonable logic. The only significant game I've seen of Wiscy was last week against Illinois, and they were unimpressive. Yeah, I know what you're saying: None of this means anything - just get to your stupid pick. IU - 16 Wiscy - 13 -

Yes - you will drive yourself nuts trying to control what others say or do. -

I hope your gut is more trustworthy than whatever they put in the "meat" at Taco Bell. Last time I ate there, I got so sick I thought I was going to die. That was 3 years ago. -

Even if you read his statements from yesterday, they are very subjective. Things like he'll be back "soon", and he was doing "good", and he'll start where he left off, are all things that are relative and really mean nothing. I agree with you. They have had a pretty good idea about this for quite a while, but as soon as you say Luck is out for the year, the apathy dramatically increases and ticket sales go with it.

Exactly what I was thinking. Great for him, but I think I've heard enough of him to last me quite a long time. -

This has been my biggest concern since Archie started recruiting him. He wants to go where he has a chance to win a championship. His perception may be that we are still a year or two away. -
I think the misunderstanding here is that the NCAA is impartial. They are not. Unlike the FBI, they have a skin in the game and and their livelihood and many perks hinge on making a lot of money off of student athletes. It's beneficial for them to let this go as quickly as possible and keep the game$ going. Certain cash cow universities probably are too big to fail in their eyes. I truly believe they realize the are on the downward slope of their product life cycle, and they are looking to ride it out and draw minimal attention so they can make as much as they can before more people start to realize they no longer serve a purpose.

Only if he wears a blonde wig.

So his name is Max Montana Montana. Ok.

I'd love to see a fundamentally sound and intelligent TEAM out there. It seems that too many times we had 5 players out there, but they weren't really playing team basketball. Five players who understand their strengths and weaknesses and how their role contributes to the whole. The rest will take care of itself if we see that. Also, I understand that this is the first year for all of these guys playing in a new system, so there will be growing pains (not the kind we had before). But I want to see them playing their best in March - not in January or February (or the first game of the season).

I get that none of this is proof in a courtroom, but logic would tell you that if this is proven to go on at Louisville, it had to be going on at other places that make a habit of collecting one-and-done players. Especially places that seem to collect multiple players year after year. You can't convince me that these players are going to University X, Y, or Z because the coach is such a great guy or he is going to get them to the league. Let's face it, they could go to Indiana State and still get in the league. Yes, there are a certain number who have morals and aren't interested, but as has been stated here before, if you come from a background of limited resources and someone is willing to give your family a few hundred K, it would be pretty tough to turn down. So there is just no way you can convince me that Adidas has to pay kids to come to their schools, but kids just love Nike so much they want to go there. It doesn't pass the logic test. So, if the NCAA is really interested in being fair and not just profiting off of all of this, they HAVE to investigate. Right? Am I right?? ...no, probably not.

Last week he was coming here. I think it's just the yin to last week's yang. It was Texas a couple weeks ago. I'm willing to bet no one really knows, so mad speculation will reign. -

Coach 2? -
I don't think the bench will be static throughout the year. I would totally expect the freshmen to get more PT as they get better and the year progresses. I could see Smith getting a fair amount of PT from the start, and Moore working his way into the rotation for a few minutes a game. I know Arch has always used a short bench, but I really think at IU that will mean 8 or so players getting the bulk of the minutes and not that only 8 will play. I'd be willing to bet the days of hockey substitutions are over.
