I would honestly not care if he took 20 shots a game. What I meant to say about the shot clock is once it starts getting low he is usually force fed the ball to make a play. That makes it hard on kids, but that is usually when he thrives. Harris guarded him better than anyone I have seen this year and still dropped 33. Sent from my LGLS676 using BtownBanners mobile app

It is college man not the NBA. Kids have bad games...EVERY kid!! JBJ has the highest scoring average ever during Creans tenure so I will take him disappearing more than some of our kids appearing any day lol. Like others have stated above when he is the best player he is supposed to take more shots. At times he is given the ball with less than t seconds on the shot clock cause our offense gets bad without him. He still ends up with a high percentage which is very impressive. His is a legitimate scorer. Look how bad our offense has looked without him in the game this year. AWFUL most of the time. Last year we had yogi so we managed without him. JBJ should average 32 the WHOLE year, TB should average 28-30, RoJo 30, OG before injury 32, Juwan 26-28, DD 12-18 depending on play, DG 10-20 depending on play, Newkirk 0-12 depending on play, cujo 8-14, mcroberts 5-12. This would give our best players more minutes and also enough time for younger kids to develop. Minutes have been Creans main issue his time here imo. His best don't always play the most and his worst seem to play too much. Trying to make everyone happy but he dont get if a kid gets some time rather than none he will be more upset because he wont want to get off the court. Crean is more of a friend than coach. Here is my theory based on assumption lol. When Crean loses a good player to injury and makes us less talented he actually game plans better and is a better coach from it. When he has more talent he expects them to win on their own. Only thing that seems to make sense for me. Sent from my LGLS676 using BtownBanners mobile app

Postgame Izzo said we played them better than anyone in the first half all year. That is telling without the guys were missing. Still a high ceiling for this team. Also said JBJ was best shot maker by far this year. One positive for Izzo is how Eron Harris played. Should help them more throughout the year if he can keep it up. Notre Dame grad xfer RB Justin Brent
Yogi's Picnic Basket replied to ccgeneral's topic in Indiana Football Recruiting Forum
That is my prediction. If we have a shot at him we take a freshmen back and him. If we only got one though I would take him only because Ellison has seemed to lose interest after his injury. I still want him to be a Hoosier no doubt, but the talent is there for this kid. If we can take Coleman and Howard and turn them into RBs in the NFL, this kid should be able to as well. He would only start one year if any though is what makes me hesitant to take him over Ellison. Patrick is the starter this year. Sent from my LGLS676 using BtownBanners mobile app -
Notre Dame grad xfer RB Justin Brent
Yogi's Picnic Basket replied to ccgeneral's topic in Indiana Football Recruiting Forum
Take him over any of the recruits were after. 2 years and a real shot at another NFL back even though I think Patrick has a shot. We should look at more grad kids. Sent from my LGLS676 using BtownBanners mobile app -
And so do other players. We all had issues with Yogi his sophomore year and junior but it was okay then because he was our best option just like JBJ is now. Your number scoring option is supposed to do that. Why do we neex to pick apart any of our kids? Sent from my LGLS676 using BtownBanners mobile app

Most selfish kids in an IU uniform huh? Name some examples please!! Cause he isn't good on defense? Cause he shoots a lot? He is the best scorer per average since Crean has been here. If he doesn't shoot we don't have many others that could take his shots if they wanted. RoJo is literally the only other kid who I would even take a shot a game away from JBJ. Good grief the attacks on our own kids has to stop. JBJ has got in NO trouble and considering the players that have been it makes this statement laughable. What about Yogi, Stan, Hanner, Holt, Davis and I can keep going. Players who put the program in trouble on and off the court!! That made our program laughable at times. So tell me exactly what has JBJ done? He is on pace to graduate in 3 years, hasn't been in ANY trouble, choose us over not just UK whether he had a spot or not he could have went almost anywhere, stayed w us through all the Lyles stuff which was his best friend and I could go on. Every single kid has one flaw at least and if JBJ's is taking extra shots and being a bad defender....send me that kid instead of plenty other kids. Noah is another example of a bad egg. Or even TB. Smfh!! Sent from my LGLS676 using BtownBanners mobile app

That was my first thought after wishing OG well. It is very sad. The only reason we didn't miss JBJ last year is we had Yogi and Max along with Z that could pick up the scoring. This injury is different, we have no guys that can pick up his defense. We may have a more fluid offense I guess. Sent from my LGLS676 using BtownBanners mobile app

I would take Burgess, Ellison, Tronti, Richardson & Roundtree. Sent from my LGLS676 using BtownBanners mobile app -
The last paragraph was perfect. I understand being frustrated with kids, but the constant bashing of JBJ for defense when we have other guys just as bad is crazy. Even if there wasn't he is the leading scorer we have had in a decade. We can't just give the kid a break and look past how much he has done for the program? How many wins have any of you guys got us this year? My point made. Sent from my LGLS676 using BtownBanners mobile app

Very hot second, but to the point I actually like this idea. The youth could be an advantage in today's game. The main issue he would have to get by would be becoming their friends instead of coach. Coming from Stevens though I don't think that is an issue. If he could get a very qualified assistant I would be very happy with this hire. It is like were getting Brad Stevens little brother lol. Only problem is I don't know if Glass would have the guts to pull the trigger. Sent from my LGLS676 using BtownBanners mobile app

That is what made me very mad if you rewatch the play after the first missed free throw by cujo the second time a screen was set for him to come straight to the ball lol. JBJ is literally the only kid on our team I trust at the free throw line with the game on the line. I know you can't always choose who gets the ball but it didn't look like much effort on Creans part either. RoJo & JBJ are the only ones that i trust dribbling the ball in the last minute of a close game lol. I just don't get it. Sent from my LGLS676 using BtownBanners mobile app

If he doesnt hit that shot the chances we win were slim to none. The turnovers werent on crean but putting the players in the positions to likely fail is definitely on him. Still cant believe 3 turnovers 4 missed points at the line in the final minute. Like I said at the 5 minute mark....if we didnt have the lead we did we lose. Im happy for the players but not crean sorry. He continues to put his kids in bad spots. Sent from my LGLS676 using BtownBanners mobile app
