IMO more of a actual pg. Doesn't come with the off court issues like Stan Rob which if he would have been focused, I had high hopes for him. Al just gets it. I stated in another thread that Archie loves him and only has minor things he wants him to focus on. Getting faster with the ball, keeping his head up and his shot. Mechanics are there for him to be a good shooter which was Robs problem too. His demeanor will rob off on everyone as well as his work ethic. Al has a chance to be a good to great player but I don't expect more than flashes this year. Too much depth.

These last 2 classes have been awesome. One thing Crean knew how to do was evaluate talent sides a few misses. He just couldn't teach more than offense or balance classes. Give Archie these guys and watch them really grow. Green and CuJo have potential to be our starting backcourt, Davis is possibly our go to guy this year, Smith brings the athletic ability and toughness, Moore is the diamond in the rough which Green was too and Al has a chance to really shine under Archie. He just seems to fit exactly what he wants. The 3 guards mentioned are why I am not as invested in Garland as some are though he is a GREAT player and would help immensely but I really like the future of our backcourt as is. Romeo being a wing scorer is what we need for next year as long as we keep our key guys.

I have heard Archie loves his demeanor and his toughness on defense. His shot has come along nicely too. They really want him to work on being quicker with the ball. He puts his head down too often when he gets in the lane as well, but sounds like it is all minor things that will come along with more practice and experience in game. I think our guard depth is too much for him to make a instant impact, but he will see minutes and give us a nice lift off the bench when he is called on. As for TJD he will DEFINITELY be making a trip or two to see us play this year. I expect Keion too as well. I like our chances with both of them. TJD really sounds like he wants to be a Hoosier, but it's still early. We will be in a battle for Brooks. He sounds like he is open to more schools jumping in and not just to rack up the offers so I don't think IU or MSU is a clear favorite yet. Schilling will probably change that eventually though. He worries almost every school involved from his relationships with the family.

That was what I was thinking. I do think that will stick out in a really good way or bad way for most kids tho. Duke is likely gonna get him tho so he probably didn't care at all. I mean if their both awake why not haha.

Kinda why I thought Sunday would be the day unless Garland would pencil Archie in for the following monday.

Maybe Archie catches his game tonight or next saturday. Those look like neither are home games though, so next Monday looks like the best day for both. Wow, didn't realize how many games both would be playing in that span. 10th & 12th for us, 4th, 11th & 14th for him it looks like.

Just think it is still too early. Things flip flop back and forth the last week or so in cases with 2 schools being the favorite. I believe Vandy's appeal of Shittu and Romeo is going down and that is a big part of their pitch besides staying home. Also think Archie finds a way to visit again and if he does like I've been told then I would expect him to close the deal. I just have confidence in Archie. You have seen everything I have heard on here from multiple posters/articles and that is all that is out there sides what the Garlands know which isn't out in the open. My biased opinion is it will be IU all day errrrryday.

I agree. Just don't see an ideal time. If Garland does come out and say it'll be at the end of the signing period than he can. But I believe he has a game the 14th and we have a game on the 10th and the 12th remember. It's gonna be just as hard to fit in there as well. That Monday is literally the only day besides Saturday which is in between 2 games.

Balsa aka player 11 could be special and Carey is obviously very good!! I have heard Watford needs to get stronger. Same with big bro. Brooks gets the nod for me, being in state. Him and TJD are my top 2 guys unless we get into good graces with Wiseman or Anthony. Lots can change by then though. Green could be our pg or RP or even Al and I wouldn't think Anthony would be a bigger need than a big or wing. This year will give us a better picture. Like you said last year, I dont see Jones caring about the gold jersey or anything similar and now he has made it a goal. I love hearing that. Ready to see our rotation with everyone healthy.

Haven't got a clue my man. None. Zilch. It has been radio silence the last few days. Daniels article is about it. Others may be hearing things but I have not which means I am just going with the flow on this one till I hear some news if I even do. Sorry I can't help out more. I like our chances with Archie though. I will most of the time too.

Lol, I think you may be giving Archie too much credit with that one. Still it is a smart play, but Vandy may have a visit left in the tank. Has to be close though. I do think Archie is playing this very smart though. With the CB, one team always gets picks like a week before only to see a major shift the days before the announcement most of the time. If Vandy gets the majority the day before or day of I'd be worried but these ones the last few days don't worry me at all actually.

And yes Sunday is a possibility. With a 2 o clock tip he would still have time, plenty actually. I don't know if he does though. This weekend is a big weekend. Garland has no visits planned and I feel like it will be the actual sitting down and discussing things with family time. I wish I had the confidence of some of you that we get him cause I am worried. I'd be worried regardless until it is official though.

Archie is planning on visiting. Didn't wanna go on the weekend I hear. And Vandy took Thursday. Archie probably goes Sunday. Timing makes the most sense. Was told if he doesn't visit it could be awesome or really bad haha so no one act like it is gonna kill us either way. Archie has done his work, but Garland loves the attention trust me. Vandy has gained ground from showing their face quite a bit lately.

Just a heads up if you have followed the team through the offseason, the player with the gold jersey is the guy living up to the gold standard. Green has wore it quite a bit lately, with CuJo stealing it a few times. These 2 are getting overlooked by people so much. This is a new coaching staff, the rotations aren't gonna be based off what Crean did. Back on topic Brooks is wanting to commit before his senior year too, so these next 6 months he needs to be top priority. By tone of his voice when I asked about each school, MSU and IU stick out as we all have known, but wouldn't dismiss KU at all. He had a visitor the same day.
