Reported that earlier. They are in panic mode. Romeo left very early. They want Grimes. Have no clue why they aren't at least putting more effort into Romeo even if he is all but ours. -

KU isn't very optimistic of their chances here. No buzz all weekend over his visit. Still seemed more occupied with Grimes by looking at ALL of their boards. I have went to every single one and hardly anything at all about Romeo. Grimes has multiple threads lol. They even started a thread asking Eric Bossi how good IU can be with Garland and Romeo. I would be absolutely shocked if he didn't end up at IU. UNC has a little chatter going, kinda sounds like they are firmly in 2nd place. -

Check out the Mo Ostin Center UCLA unveiled it's for the men's and women's teams. They unveiled it for Garland and Browns visit. It is actually pretty cool. -

Honestly I am gonna wait till his interview about his visit went. Everyone is all over the place with when he will decide. I believe he cuts down to 3 maybe even tonight and takes 2 or 3 weeks to decide. His fathers comments threw me off course last week tho. Saying he could commit any moment and he could wait lol. I believe only the Langford's know the real answer. -

Have to share a funny encounter with a Vandy "insider". He reached out asking my opinion first, which was odd then started getting mad when I told him I believed we were the leader. Also said Vandy very well could get him, he loves Drew and he responded that that was his thoughts but why would he go to IU when Darius and his dad have no connections!!?? I told him they did and said papa winston probably pushes IU over its neck and neck and he had no idea he was a IU fan. Basically I have stopped following any Vandy boards or anything after this happened. They know close to nothing. Which is why national media will be the ones to follow in this. -

Yes I do, feel more confident saying that about Romeo but Darius is a Hoosier barring any last minute changes which COULD happen. He isn't even home yet so more details could come out about his Vandy visit since it happened so late. All I have heard is UCLA stuff tho. Garland will commit before signing day tho. I really expect something this week, but we will have to wait and see :) -

Don't feel comfortable saying that. Puts me in between a rock and a hard place lol. Just for closure tho even if it was announced by ESPN but not Romeo I would still say the same. I have found teenagers can be tricky. -

No problemo, figured I may have a few PM's throughout the day lol so I wanted to give an update. No info worth not posting. Should be an article or two out later on as everyone probably knows. Tim Langford always gives some quotes to local media so be on the lookout. Matt Scott is someone worth following on twitter for it or any other news. -

BTW Wilkes didn't dislike Crean at all just saw the writing on the wall and decided to go another route(UCLA) which has Indiana ties. -

So Garland to UCLA isn't happening. No worries here as not sure if anyone was. Alford had Wilkes try his best recruiting pitch, which probably wasn't a good idea considering Wilkes was IU's if not for Crean. Nice little getaway for him though. This upcoming week will play a big role in his decision and could end up making a final one quickly. Expect a visit from IU and Vandy before he does though. UK isn't really in the picture anymore either unless something drastic happens. -

KU visit is all but wrapped up. Nothing exciting or bad happened. Hearing just a typical visit which is great news for us. They needed to blow his socks off lol and that isn't the case. Also, Grimes is signing in the early period. 100%. No question and KU remains in the lead. KU is planning to see him again this week if that means anything to anyone. -
Wasn't lying when I said he has looked like our best player at times this past summer. Him and Green are 2 very welcome addition potential breakouts. This team could become a lot better than expected if we end up with 4 guards capable of starting. Give Moore time for those that aren't impressed. He will be a rotation guy by B1G play.

Gerald Green's rating was also very high in high school as well as many others. They are given that rating based off the class they are in most of the time. Everyone has their own opinions, mine is Gordon was a absolute star and had the potential to be a franchise cornerstone before injuries. Not a knock on Romeo one bit though at all!! Romeo has that potential but I see him more as a 2nd star in the NBA. That is still usually a complete program changer in college so. -

All jokes aside his visit being great so far actually has hardly anything to do with Self. He is being a teenager and enjoying himself. The thing with IU which he loves is all the attention. So far it has been the opposite there and it kinda sounds like he is just enjoying a little break from all the craziness. -

Gordon was the best shooter in the class along with the most athletic besides maybe Rose and a few others. Was a great defender and rebounder too. Passing may have been his only weakness but it wasn't like he was bad at it just never needed too lol -

Lol right!! Meanstreets if I remember correctly. Can you imagine some of the AAU teams back then going against them? Guys didn't play together all that much like now and some teams had some BAD players. Surprised some teams just didn't forfeit. Sadly, we had a shot with Rose too. What could have been!! -

Woah. People seem to be forgetting just how GOOD Eric Gordon was. He was im the same class as Derrick Rose. Gordon if he had stayed healthy during his IU career he was a top 3 pick. His wrist made teams very shy. If he stayed healthy in the NBA who knows. He wouldn't have been Kobe or Wade but easily one of the better sgs in his prime. Romeo is absolutely awesome, but to me it is an easy choice if healthy. Not many kids have been better than Gordon in HS tho so not a knock whatsoever against Romeo.
