Honestly, the Vandy quote makes me less worried. Talks a lot about school which is great but his a one and done so. The UNC comments worried me the most honestly. Doesn't really give a feel for a favorite tho.

Will be campus for an official this weekend. CB has us as 100% with only 2 picks so far though. Looks to be us and Wake for him. Expect a commit soon. Maybe after this weekend.

The same school thing is definitely a coincidence. I have said that for awhile. Doesn't mean they end up together, but it is definitely a possibility. My guess for his top 3 is, KU, IU, UCLA/Vandy. Him and Garland will keep 2 schools on their list until they commit I believe just to let the speculation run crazy if anything lol.

Lol well thanks Illinois. I don't post too much Cubs stuff so lucky for you. Last year was awesome though. It almost didn't feel real. Then I went to the parade and I felt like Will Ferrell in Anchorman(stuck in a glass full of emotions) lol. Too bad your mom didn't get to see them win it all, but I can almost guarantee she was up there with my dad rooting em on with Harry and Santo.

Most have. Honestly had no idea about his Damezi tweet till it was brought uo on here, because I refuse to follow him. We all saw stuff relating to IU and Billy, but his tweet really put it over the edge. Seeing how big of a name Billy is I didn't think someone would go to that trouble if they wanted any kind of professional respect, so I fell for it sadly. That was it for me though.

Also to note, I asked Damezi about it and he said of course I tell them to come here just like any other kid, but my sales pitch is coming at HH lol. Maybe Albers took that and ran with it. Either way he hasn't talked to Darius yet so it still ends up a lie sadly.

I mentioned it to him asking why it is so hard to just tell the truth. Damezi seems like a kid that would take time out to answer questions for anyone not trying to harass him honestly. Maybe I worded the question weird, but I got the impression for his direct quote he planned on waiting till HH and was gonna text him beforehand. I don't wanna start drama for Damezi because he took the time to talk to me and I look forward to future convos but I tagged Albers in a tweet which later resulted in being blocked. I don't wanna take it to far. Honestly, I didn't make an article or even share anything besides him coming to HH on twitter yet because I mainly wanted to do it for the personal experience and so you guys could get a break from Romeo and Darius lol. Albers does it for attention and often mixes words with his own and I can't nor will respect that style. These are teenagers. He gets by with his Hulls connection still, but I see his IU career over sooner than later.

My Q and A with Damezi. What are your goals heading into your senior season? DA: I'm just trying to get better everyday and focus on winning a state title. What led you to commit early and to IU? DA: Honestly, just wanted to get it outta the way to prepare for my future. What was the first thing that stuck out about Archie and the new staff? DA: The new staff is great. All of them. What stood out about Archie was the way he wanted to make me better for the future, it fell in line with what I saw myself. What are your thoughts on the incoming class and the potential of others joining? DA: Our incoming class is great. It solves a lot of pieces. I know Romeo and Darius are still possibilities and they would be the icing on the cake. Have you talked to either (Romeo) or (Darius)? DA: Not yet, but I plan on texting Romeo and getting ahold of Darius. Sounds like a good way, would be to join them at Hoosier Hysteria. DA: Yeah that is the plan. I will be there for sure. The kid is awesome flat out. I have a twitter page I just started for covering mainly IU news, far from being an actual insider lol and he reached out via DM about helping me out and doing an interview. Kid has no idea who I am lol. Was borderline shocked he said yes. Well more like yeah sure man haha. He said he would follow me so thats all I expected. Definitely a kid I am proud to call a future Hoosier. Once I get it finished I will post in the appropriate thread.

It is very telling about a player when they are looking out more for the team than themselves. Romeo and him could play on the court together, but mainly play the same spot. So if he is actively recruiting this kid, which I have seen a few things on twitter then that shows just what kinda head this kid has on his shoulders.

Glad to see someone else in the Damezi fan club lol. I know we all like him, but I think this kid is gonna be a Buddy Hield type player. That is how much faith I have in him. Won't be a big contributor the first year or two, but by his junior year I expect him to be our leading scorer. The game comes easy to him.

I do think a good visit could make Garland pop more so than Romeo. Garland seems ready to commit IMO. Hopefully he hold off for 2 more weeks.

MD is right. Darius and Romeo will be "committing" everytime they visit a school. Said school will have plenty of rumors floating by fans and some even by writers. Twitter is full of articles that can get clicks. Each school in on these kids I have read at least one article of why they're coming there and not the other schools.

Zion Williamson is a key reason he decided to visit Kansas. Actual package deals are rare, but lets not act like these kids don't wanna play together. Garland and Romeo will visit 2 schools together. That is even more rare. Name some other kids that have took 2 different school visits together this year. Not many. It won't be a deciding factor as to if Darius goes elsewhere or vise versa we don't get either, but it will be a factor. How big of a factor none of us truly know. Kids say a lot of things. Besides U of L for Garland basically because of Ramey and Simons a lot of their schools were/are the same. Any kid that sees a friend considering one of their favorite schools is gonna talk about it, specially when they're both 5 star recruits. I have actually heard Duke fans say Garland was cooled by Tre Jones but even more once Romeo stopped considering them.

I was ecstatic to get this kid, but Ronnie Walker looks like a Mike Hart clone just a little lighter. If I had to choice it would be the guy that is committed already.

I knew Darius wasn't gonna like splitting the ball w Tre Jones and Reddish has been saying he wants to handle some so this makes complete sense. I didnt think he would cancel his visit and them altogether tho. Definitely good news. Garland is bigger than we are implying. Obviously any top 10 kid is huge, but I truly believe if we get Darius we definitely get Romeo. Only issue is the timing. UK scares me a little, but like it was mentioned, Green and Quickley being there next year helps ease the level of stress. Archie has done an amazing job in such a short period of time. No "experts" saw as being either the favorite or co favorite for either of these kids.

Nassir Little is announcing tonight. If I am UNC or GT I am skeptical because he may not even be eligible next year. His decision could impact Romeo if he chooses UNC though. I'm sure they could fit both on the court with no issues, but worth following.

Just so everyone knows, I don't share info unless I feel like it is important. I have been on this board for awhile and sadly my Crean4President account I had to cut ties with completely lol, but over the at least 6 years on here altogether I have barely used "sources" and don't say things unless I believe them. Besides the Blackmon family who I have known for years and this recruitment I stay away from saying too much, because most of the time it is bullcrap. Anytime I hear or see something I try to race here to let everyone know. Seems like they may rub some the wrong way, so I will become a spectator. I actually said Vandy was a sleeper for awhile and said KU was a strong possibility before his in home with Self in which he announced he was visiting lol. BTW, even though he has had the same list, IU yes us were not perceived to have much of a shot this time last year, Duke which was one of if not the favorite is no longer in his top schools, UK which many believed playing for Cal with the US team made them a threat isn't seen as an option anymore, Vandy was not a school he wanted to visit until Garland got serious about them and UNC has been very inconsistent with him. Then of course there is U of L. I never said he is switching schools left and right but that the SAME schools that were looked at as not a strong option have became one and then fell off. You can make it to where you don't see someones post btw. Just a heads up man. ;)

It was the same source that told me watch out for Vandy before he really even mentioned them and the same guy I shared KU becoming a factor with us and U of L. Of course that was before the FBI thing. I trust him, but Romeo seems to set his sets on a certain school or two and then becomes fond of another. Right when you think it is us or this school another seems to emerge. Kinda like us when it was Duke or U of L. I have thought he commits before 2018 for awhile just always seem to end up questioning it. A lot of big names are announcing early this year unlike most years so that gives me hope lol.
