They aren't necessarily a package deal Rabjohns is right about that, but it is also a lot more of a possibility than led on to believe. They very well may end up on different teams, but there is also a reason Shittu is visiting Vandy and now Romeo is serious about Vandy. Just cause they aren't a package deal doesn't mean they don't wanna play together. I find it weird that after they schedule Vandy and IU visits together and may end up doing so with UK as well, people don't see that. I am confident that is a real chance they play together, but just like some proposed package deals sometimes kids decide to go seperate ways. Romeo loves the idea of playing with Simons whose going to U of L as well so I am not saying they are out just that I believe they are less of a threat than 2 weeks ago, but still a strong threat.

Btw at big man concern for Vandy will be gone if they get Shittu. Dont put your eggs in that basket.

Like I said in the Romeo thread, before this news came out btw, I am more worried about Vandy then U of L with Romeo, because whispers have gotten louder. I mentioned yesterday that U of L may soon be the 3rd school looking in for Romeo because they want for those 2 to play together is very real. They dont just make it newsworthy. There is a reason Vandy was even thought of seriously by Romeo and this weekend is wayyyy bigger than people think. Not with Romeo but Garland. If he decides Vandy is it before an IU visit which is highly doubtful we could lose both. I was assuming my "sources" were false then saw the Evan Daniels statement. Who knows they could end up at seperate schools I just dont see that happening as of now. The Shittu news was mentioned in with these guys too. He is visiting Vandy October 6-8th. Quickley committing to UK tonight will all but eliminate them from making a serious run at either for those worried about them which I never have been with these two. Time will tell but I have a feeling we get both. But I am more worried about Vandy w either than any other school right now.

Hate to say I told ya so but Evan Daniels reporting Garland is pretty much IU vs Vandy. Romeo's interest is real. I have heard Garland pretty much single handedly got Romeo hyped on Vandy. Also heard IU became a big player once they both knew they liked what Archie was selling. I have a feeling we get both. Well more than a feeling. Vandy is the only school I am really worried about.

Shittu is visiting October 6-8th. Vandy that is. I have heard soft rumors of all 3 playing there together. It would be 3 5 stars together sigh. This weekend is a lot bigger than anyone is making it out to be. Vandy is officially in the IU and U of L part if Garland is able to convince Romeo to strongly consider. The atmosphere at Vandy has been awesome this year due to the publicity their football program has generated. I still like that we get both on a visit like Vandy. If they seriously wanna play together like I believe they do just haven't made too many comments about it, I believe it could end up being us and Vandy for both. U of L doesn't worry as much as they did 2 weeks ago.

An underrated part of RP's game is how well he finishes w his left. He is also not crazy fast but gets to where he needs to go. I think he will be a 2-3 starter with all B1G team potential by his junior year. Needs to work on a floater and I will be very happy with him as our pg next year if need be. Would rather have Garland run the point for a year and have him take over after.

His visit to IU is October 20th for those wondering. Vandy, Duke, IU and UK have got visits set.

I like Forrester. If I had to pick between him and Romeo and Garland package obviously I am going w the latter. Thing is if both wanna come, both will be here. Also Archie hasn't even coached a game yet for IU and is getting top 150 kids begging for spots. Some can take it negatively but look at Duke and UNC. When they offer someone in the 80-150 range no matter who is in the picture they get them if they want them. Sorry to break it to most of you but we havent had that feel for a LONG time. Archie has that going again already. Several examples even. Romeo was the only kid who knew he could come whenever and even he was pressured a bit. BTW Creans misses were guys like April and Priller or Hoetzel guys barely ranked at all or not at all. Forrester had plenty of options and was ranked a lot higher so please just stop with that BS. I have said for awhile but a 3rd school will emerge in the Romeo sweepstakes to make us sweat even more. UNC, UK(not likely) or Vandy has been my guess but I just think he is tired of everyone just assuming he is going to U of L or IU. I believe whether serious or not it gets thrown out there as a curveball.

If and huge if but if Garland comes I expect Al Durham to jump ship. I think he could be a good player here but he wants to play and it is hard for me to see him wanting to wait behind Green, CuJo, Phinisee, Anderson, Garland and Romeo. I only say the last 2 because it only becomes a concern IF we get both. Other than that we are fine. Dort and Brown are the only other kids we are probably even gonna send a text too besides the big 2 from here on out in the 18 class. Calm down folks.

Smart move going to see Romeo with his Vandy in home. Just go ahead and make it official Romeo and stop making these other coaches waste their time. :)

In regards to the Romeo and Duke is what this in reference too. Even though I feel like if they miss on Barrett and a few other targets they could try to ramp up efforts. Back to Garland though. The in home news is this legit? If so that is a perfect time to pitch Garland on HH.

Duke is likely to be out on Romeo soon. Barrett is likely going there. No way they get Barrett, Reddish and him. They are probably gonna have to pick one of Barrett, Romeo and Garland.

Thanks for the insight. It says on his 247 that he is '18 though. If he is '18 I will strongly pass even if he is '19 I probably would. We have our targets the next 2 years and the only additions should be if we miss on quite a few kids. I just dont see it.

Who is this Alex Hemenway kid that Rabjohns has been tweeting about? What class is his? I know he is a guard but I haven't heard much at all about this kid and now he visited yesterday. I know he is a Castleton kid so I'm hoping someone on here knows more than I do.

Without selling anyone out my sources were based on convos with a certain walk on and a convo with a recruit that many were expecting to commit here till we got Hunter and Anderson. Said recruit played open gym with the team. I have a comparison for him, a more athletic Devonte Graham. Many in HS thought he would have been a 5 star if not for Miles Bridges being on his team. Juwan talk has been everywhere and Justin Smith, though have heard his shot will need lots of work is impressing as much as anyone. Also the RoJo talk comes from a lot of sources on twitter. He has worked out a lot of places. I agree with Nick though on IU being undersold nationally. I really feel like this team is boundd for a run at a Sweet Sixteen maybe more. Could also be a 1st round exit depending on how the year progresses, but I expect a tourney bid.

Obviously I have shared the improvements he has made as well as others have and was told if RoJo was not here, CuJo would start and be our leading scorer. Archie loves him. Has really improved his hands and on ball defense. His confidence was/is the only thing holding him back. Maybe not to start the year but I see this lineup come B1G play. PG: RoJo SG: CuJo SF: Morgan PF: Hartman C: Davis Newkirk, Green, Smith & Moore as our 9 man rotation.

I believe this kid will be a Hoosier and maybe even soon. He has had the IU offer pinned on his twitter for awhile. I tweeted that there is a reason it's pinned lol and he retweeted that with the googly eyes and we all know(not really) what that means nowadays. The multiple visits. He has been here for his last 3 visits I believe. Will be at HH I have heard and just gave a shout out on twitter to a teammate for being the biggest IU fan he knows. That isn't including his step dad's comments either. I want this kid more than anyone in the '19 class besides Wiseman(long shot) and have him right up there with Keion Brooks. Give me those 2 and a big and I absolutely love this class.

Rick Bozich confirmed what myself and others have been saying for awhile tweeted out that Curtis Jones along with Juwan Morgan look very much improved this summer. Seen others w the Morgan news as well. Safe to say the cujo transfer or even possibility is probably out the door. I know most of us myself included are high on Green but if ANYONE he would seem the most likely. Season can change a lot and offseason isn't games so maybe cujo takes a step back. I have heard he has been our best player times though so I have very high hopes for him. With Newkirk and RoJo it'll be hard for a true breakout to happen but it'll be something to ease concerns about the 2 guard spot once RoJo leaves.

I have heard Schilling isn't spending much time that doesn't involve Romeo Langford. Not that he is constantly calling and calling but that he is definitely the main recruiter. Plus he is obviously involved heavily with Keion Brooks right now. I have no complaints. Whatever coach hits it off the best send them full force. Only send more than them for games and visits.

Archie should be talking to Adidas about going after all the big Indiana HS. IU is one of the few Adidas schools that are in a hotbed of talent. Couldn't hurt our chances w most of the kids in state either. On a side not people mentioned I left out UK for both as a landing spot and I did it purposely. Garland may take a hard look, but Romeo won't. If he visits there....maybe but I think some kids go on the visits there w other kids just to hang out and it is a NBA pipeline so they are curious. Romeo is a quiet kid compared to most top 5 players each year and I believe he appreciates the hard work U of L and IU have put forth. Vandy as well as Kansas. Those are the only 4 schools I really see him going to at all.

I have said for awhile that is a 3 team race for Garland and Romeo. IU, U of L and Vandy for Romeo. Duke, IU and Vandy for Garland. If they decide to play together which is strongly possible, it comes down to Vandy and us. Vandy landing both would be one heck of a statement. Though it is a statement for us as well.

IF Romeo and Garland both visit for HH that will be HUGE. Idk what anyone is talking about banking a scholly if we get Romeo. Garland is not a kid you turn away. It is possible his scholly opens up for 19 too anyways.
