  1. I just checked the athletic department directory and it contains one person named Kim. It is Kim Chavers and she is an assistant coach on the rowing team: http://iuhoosiers.com/staff.aspx?staff=564 Anyone think it's her? Probably not so the mystery deepens.
  2. People who are basing "Janitors" identity as a woman based on calling them "Kim" do realize "Kim" is a gender neutral name (although more common for women) I assume? Anyone know a Kim close to the athletic department?
  3. This is a "Mouth Of South" moment if true that "Janitor" is a woman. For those who don't know what I'm talking about their was a regular poster on a Colts board with that handle who everyone assumed was a man many years ago. After Hurricane Katrina this poster's house was washed away I believe and Jim Irsay paid for her to come to a game as a result of her struggles from the storm. Turns out "Mouth Of South" was a 70 year old lady when her identity was revealed through news stories from Irsay's gesture. Just goes to show you never assume the gender or anything else about a person's identity on a message board where people are anonymous.
  4. Glad UCLA won! Now we can't interview Alford for at least a few days and hopefully can get someone different who is available over that time!
  5. I don't know how people feel about Chronic but listening to his podcast he seems to not mind Alford so much but thinks Donovan is a real possibility.
  6. Now him I'd take over Alford but still not ideal.
  7. Dana Altman? I just know both of our last two hires have been completely out of left field from fairly successful coaches so this would fit.
  8. Sill take Alford. Things might get to smelly with the diaper on them. Not sure anyone on our team is a parent or qualified to change a coaches diaper. LOL
  9. Funny but I think I'd take Alford over a mascot. I'm afraid this guy might get eaten alive by some very hungry fan when they are angry at a coaching move he makes.
  10. Got you. Still a little odd to me but at least I get it now.
  11. Why? That doesn't match anything having to do with his name. I'm confused.
  12. Maybe this is all an elaborate smoke screen from earlier in the day. IU didn't like the true word about Donovan getting out so they leaked to Huffington Post about Alford as a distraction while they quietly get the Donovan deal done. I don't know what to think anymore.
  13. My thoughts exactly. I'm rooting for UCLA to win it all so either I feel better about hiring him or UCLA makes a huge play to keep him.
  14. Not necessarily. He could just love IU and is committed to being here regardless of who coaches. I can tell you I love my boss but love my job just as much. I would be committed to my job regardless of who my boss was. Could be something like that. He may know something about coaching search but it could just as easily be he loves IU regardless of who coaches him.
  15. I just hope all these rumors have not blown a cover and screwed the deal up. Maybe Donovan said he would take the job under the condition that nothing got out until it was announced and if it did he would flat out deny and the deal was off. Doubt it but if that's the case the people who leaked it are going to feel terrible.
  16. I don't see it on mobile or regular and I am logged into both at moment.
  17. I don't see that anywhere on his twitter?
  18. Well I just 'saw' (note the 'saw' in quotations because I mean it in an abstract way) someone I know who knows exactly whats going on with the coaching search but they won't share the truth with me even if I asked them.
  19. Well Terry Hutchens accidentally tweeted a private message to the public about Donovan on twitter. A search firm was hired that draws up contracts and is the same one that was hired 2 days before Cuonzo Martin finalized at Mizzou. All other stuff is 2nd hand from supposedly plugged in posters. Certainly not final and I'm still skeptical but wind may be blowing that way although this tweet from Jeff Goodman may throw cold water on that. Davis staying is confirmed by his High School coach. Bryant staying is a rumor that I am skeptical of still.
  20. Hutchens just confirmed his 1st tweet was a private message he accidentally tweeted publicly!
  21. He doesn't say what he is hearing. Maybe as media he has to be more careful. Donovan would be logical but he doesn't say.
  22. That's what I was trying to figure out?
  23. If this is the case (and I'm sure Bozich would not report it otherwise) doesn't this throw cold water on Donovan at least for now (doesn't mean it won't happen)? If Donovan were a done deal why would IU be hiring a search firm? I don't want to hear it's because we want it to make it appear like a legitimate search. No AD would throw away 10's of thousands of dollars on a search firm if Donovan hire were already in place. We may still get him but this seems to indicate to me this is anything but a done deal.
  24. What does this mean?
