Less dramatic? Dude was going 90 in a 40 with other vehicles and pedestrians present. Then the real fun starts when the flashing lights came coming and he drove erratically to find an escape route to change seats and took out a stop sign in the process. This is a big deal and he was lucky no one was injured. It could have turned out a lot different. Whatever penalty he receives will not be enough.

Huh? I never said just because JHS is coming in that X should be suspended. I just suggested that X should be suspended and it puts his starting position in question. I would love to see JHS take advantage and run with it.

The biggest question I still have is where were we last year with Matta and how was his health last year compared to this year?

So this is my take. I think that at the very least some kind of suspension will be coming. JHS is coming and he is ready to play the moment he sets foot on campus. Woodson has talked all season about point guard being the most important position and how he needs a point guard he can trust to run the team and be a leader. JHS is going to get a lot of time running with the starters as point guard in practice as next season approaches. He will spend a lot of time with the coaching staff going over game plans, matchups, scouting reports, what we are trying to do on offense, defense, etc. I would not be surprised if this bad judgement from X results in him losing a lot on the court.

It’s not a ‘non event’. He is lucky no one was injured from his reckless behavior. Doing 90 on North Walnut with the people we have on foot in Bloomington is not a good idea.

This is where I am as well. If he feels good enough to coach now then I wish him all the best and this is great news for Butler. If however, he felt the same last year then what are/were we doing?

This is true and a lot has happened in the last few years but you can’t ignore his track record. In any case, this hiring raises a lot of questions.

100%. This is huge. If he was/is healthy enough why is he not our coach? The Bulldogs will be very good very fast and will get a lot of kids we wonder why we don’t get or go after.

I’m actually not surprised. Waiting on TJD. I think this is going to take awhile to shake out.

It all centers around TJD. I know him and Race are pretty tight. My guess is if TJD comes back so does Race. Then Jordan has a tough decision to make. If TJD leaves so does Race and Jordan stays.

He hasn’t improved the weaknesses in his game since he stepped on campus. Show me his jumper or his other hand. He can work on his game at the next level (if he gets there) the same as he can at IU. My point is Woodson saying ‘he’s ready’. I’m sure he told TJD the same thing in his last meeting. I would be shocked if he returns.

I put the chance of TJD returning at 0% Woodson has recently said ‘he’s ready’. That’s pretty telling. I still have doubts he gets drafted but he isn’t going to get any better. I think Race is still up in the air.

Completely disagree. Leal will continue to get better and improve because he’s a gym rat and he will put the work in. He greatly improved from last season to this season. Make no mistake, kid loves IU and loves being here but he sees himself as more than an end of the bench guy. He wants playing time and I think he will earn it.

Wait move on? Leal is going to continue to improve and contribute in the future. Their is no one that is going to outwork him over the summer and he will continue to get better. Plus no one on this roster loves IU more than Leal and he is really well liked and a great kid. He’s living his dream right now. 0% chance he is going anywhere.

I know TJD and Race are close. Do you think whatever they do they will do together as far as staying or leaving? If that’s the case this might take awhile to figure out if TJD decides to wait on feedback from the NBA.

We all like Bates but he has to earn it. He didn’t this year. If Woodson can’t trust him on the defensive end then he isn’t going to start over Kopp. I don’t know where Geronimo fits if TJD and Race both come back. We will have to see how that plays out.

I agree. I generally like Woodson so far and if the relationship wasn’t working or whatever that’s fine. He is the boss. The part I question is if it’s a good idea for him to listen to Hill and other outside consultants with zero college coaching experience more so than his assistants on his own bench including Matta.

No guess on who is going to stay or go. I would love to see of the two you mentioned Race return though.
