I get it that the case is not settled but do not understand why no tv, radio, print or internet journalists uttér even one single word about one of the biggest NCAA academic scandels EVER. Not one word.

Wish Nova and OK were in opposite brackets so I could root against Cuse and UNC. Cuse and Boheim...dirty. University of No Classes....dirtier than Cal's Memphis team. A travesty these dirtbags are even in the tourney. Roy will do his "aw shucks" routine but we all know he knew what was going on. Really, really hope they lose.

I agree, he has a lot of talent. With all they have underneath we, in order to win, had to dominate the perimeter but when he hit his first four It was a really bad omen. We needed Yogi/Z to hit their first four, to also help open up TB, but we were in trouble when it was UNC that did it.

I give you this. you are relentless. UVA lost to a 9-9 conference season Cuse. Stuff happens. MSU lost to the university of nobody. Paige hit his first 4 threes to start the game against us. He could not do that again in 50 games.

That would have been hard for us to do as it would have been against everything we did all year.

Things can " slightly"change from game to game. A couple of weeks ago UNC beat ND by 31 but the game before ND beat UNC.

If you start in the D league, ie not sent down from NBA with a guaranteed NBA salary, the top pay scale is a whopping 25k. they have A, B, C Players at pay scales of 25, 19 and 13k.

I also do not want a team full of one and dones but we shifted gears last time we won a championship by recruiting and starting 2 JC players. Things change (for better of worse). -

Bet TW, OG and TB all declare. Hopefully they do not sign with agents so they can come back.

They had a 72 RPI and a 9-9 conference record which means many teams that are out feel the same.

Those that think JB will be better on D next year....Hope you are right but would not bet on it. Since the new NBA/NCAA rule allows players to get evaluated and come back if they do not sign with an agent I am guessing TB, TW and OG will all declare. Hopefully TW is smart enough to do it without signing with an agent.

I am heading to bed but lets just agree that you are wrong :) Iowa State sucked down the stretch. We should not have been a 5 but at the end of the day you have to beat good teams to win it all. that being said...when Paige hits his first 4 threes I doubt anyone will beat UNC.

Iowa State was a 4, 10-8 in conference, 5-7 in their last 12 and 4 of those wins were vs teams with RPI's over 100. We should not have been a 5 and every expert other than you and Cannon agree.

So your argument is that there is no difference between playing Wiscy and one of the two best teams in the country? every expert and Vegas would disagree but whatever...

Ok and my point is I think we would be in the elite 8 if we played Wiscy instead of UNC.

Or perhaps many posters dream will come true and we get Alford!! On a positive note maybe the UCLA fans, who would give anything to get him to leave, would crowdfund Steve's IU salary.

As I type this I know we will disagree but a team that wins the BT regular season by 2 games should never be a 5 seed. But but beyond that....bottom line is that ND beat Wiscy to get into the Elite 8 while we played UNC. Would we all the sudden be better if we were in the Elite 8 because we beat WI, a team vastły inferior to UNC? of course not.

You agreed that it is amazing that a football school like ND got into the Elite 8. My point is that is would have been easier to get into the Elite 8 vs Wiscy rather than one of the two best teams in the country (UNC).

Small detail but they beat a 7 seed and we played one of the best two teams in the country. On a neutral court would you rather play WI or UNC? Is that a close call? Remotely close?? In anyway remotely close???

We looked like #^#%. we had to have a crazy 7-7 start from the three but surprisingly University of No Classes did it. No one would have beaten UNC tonight. The evolution of this team was fun to watch.

I do not follow St Johns. when do they play Sunday and how many games did they win their conference by? just asking.
