  1. Comparing Nate to Oladipo is dumb.....but saying Sudfeld sucks is just as.
  2. 31 pages on who we are going to hire as an assistant coach. Man.
  3. I say we start a baby-pool like time and date. I've got Thursday from 12:14 pm to 12:22 pm.
  4. I've seen him play.....uber athletic. He's a guy they could move to tight end if they wanted to.
  5. Galloway, Leal....is the next domino Austin Van Zyl?
  6. I predict we will be more interesting to watch than last year.
  7. Good news! Chuck Lofton just put a crystal snow globe on Leal to IU.
  8. I'll be refreshing this all day long tomorrow. https://twitter.com/weatherchannel?lang=en
  9. I think Austin Boucher did. Didn't even need an offer.
  10. Another difference is that Ohio State certainly regressed from year one to year two.....3 losses in year one, 12 in year two. I think as years go on it becomes more about the current coach and less about what they inherited.
  11. I just keep waiting for a certain poster to say it's a good day to be in Bloomington.
  12. Took me a while, but found them for the past season: 17 games, 12.2 ppg, 71/146 from the field (49%), 39/93 from three (42%), 27/43 free throws (63%), 2.9 rpg, 2.9 apg, .8 topg. https://www.exposuresportsnews.com/roster_players/32276167
  13. Ideally, but there are going to be misses in evaluation (or injuries) that will mean there are going to be some a guy or two that fits this category if they choose to stay if a coach uses his full allotment of scholarships.
  14. I think it transcends it just being in-state players. Every time you go to the next level your competition is going to be tougher and your effort is going to have to improve. I don't like talking about players after they leave -- I really don't -- but everything I heard about Clifton Moore was that the effort was never really there.
  15. If you want an X and O guy, he's pretty good. As a recruiter, not sure he is going to bring much to the table in terms of a major conference. That said, he's been a head coach at a (very successful) NAIA school for the past 14 years. Would think that he'd be more like a guy that would move up to the head coach of a low major job than be an assistant as a high major.
  16. I deleted my post because it was basically the same joke that deserthoosier had made. After I posted, I saw his and deleted mine. Nothing more.
  17. What was Lickliter looking to gain at this point? After Iowa, he took the head job at Marian and then was a scout for three years with the Celtics after that. He's 64 now and says he is retiring. Regardless of his opinion of McCarthy, he's spent his last 40 years as a high school head coach, a college assistant, a college head coach, and as an NBA scout. Wouldn't surprise me in the slightest if his future involvement in basketball at any level is very, very minimal.
  18. Penny Hardaway has the #1 recruiting class in basketball and to me sounds like a 100% disingenious snake salesman. What recruits want to hear isn't necessarily what impresses us. At the end of the day, Evansville got a coach that played in the league for 11 seasons and has NBA assistant coaching experience. At a place like Evansville, it's probably worth the risk to bring in someone like him.
  19. You beat me by 5 seconds (that's what she said).
  20. He's a ball hog. When he does catch it, he never gives it up.
  21. If he can shoot the three, get the candy stripes ready.
