I do wish they had included win/loss record in that list. Checking on the two that didn't make it, they were 19-13 and 20-13 post conference tournaments.

USPS: was any team that had no Q3 or Q4 losses left out of the field last year? I’m starting to get anxious that even if we beat Nebraska they find a way to keep us out because of our NET ranking.....a ranking that IMO defies reality when you lose a Q1 game in the last game of the season and drop 9 whole spots.

Really shouldn’t be the difference in even making the tournament. That was a conference where two bubble teams tied for the title.

Nervous as hell. The past twenty-five years say they we get beat on a three-quarters shot at the buzzer after a bogus foul call makes us lose. The realistic and not pesimistic part of me is going to go with IU 72, Nebraska 64 if Mack and Burke play (don't think they will); IU 78, Nebraska 59 if they don't.

I fed the Nebraska and Indiana player numbers into PC Stellar computer game and simmed 20 games on neutral courts between the two. I kept Burke and Mack on their team....will try simming some without them later. Althought Hoiberg said that 'their status for the Big Ten tourney will be determined in the next two days', I am guessing they won't be playing from what he had said on Saturday. Would find it hard to believe that Cam Mack would be suspended against Michigan and then Minnesota for DIFFERENT infractions and would then be playing in the Big Ten tourney. My gut says neither player suits up ever again for Nebraska given that Hoiberg had suspended them "indefinitely" and immediately said that there would be player meetings at the end of the year about their future with the program. That was the second straight game Mack had been suspended and they were for different reasons.

LOL. Hoiberg the convenient disciplinarian for 24 hours. Cam Mack has been suspended multiple times already but never more than a game. So I guess losing by 32 all of a sudden turned Mack's hit and run into a non-issue.

Even when IU was #1 with Zeller/Dipo, there were empty seats in the stadium and you could get tickets cheap this close to the tournament.

Fazekas is a senior. He played two years at Providence, sat out a year, and them two years at Valpo. Even if he had another year it’s worth noting that in a major conference at Providence he averaged 4 points per game and was a sub 40% shooter.

Basically he decided to go elsewhere when Hunter signed. I don’t think anyone would have taken him over Hunter at the time. i also am not as high on him as you are. I don’t see him as an NBA player.

Looked like Nebraska was more interested in just running and having fun than trying to win the game. I think a team trying to win doesn't run and gun with 7 players.

I should have waiting. I bought mine about two weeks ago and balcony tickets were $17 per ticket per session before fees. With fees it bumped up to $35/ticket per session with fees. Friday was more expension.....something like $65 per session with fees. Think I spent around $200 per ticket for the 8 games on Thursday and Friday. I've been to the tournament I think for the last five years that it's been in Chicago or Indy. IMO....Indy venue is 10 times better for the simple fact that the United Center isn't close to anything. The time between sessions is spent looking for something to do/something to eat with nothing in sight. Plenty of things to do/places to to visit when it is in Indy. Also have to say that Friday is the best day of the tournament followed by Thursday. Don't think I'll ever do a Sunday again....if your team isn't in it, you really don't care who wins and even if they were, I'd rather be at home watching the Sunday title games and watching the selection show. Saturday seems to feature one decent game and one game that has a team that upset a team or two to get there and ends up not being real competitive.

Of interest: Stanford is the 7 seed in the PAC12 tourney, UCLA is the 2. Stanford will play California in the opening round and if they win, they will play UCLA. I think it would be difficult for both Stanford and UCLA to get into the tourney because of that matchup, but unless California beats both, could make it likely that one will. That scenario would be fine for IU.

Worth mentioning that we are in all 89 brackets. Also worth mentioning that there is over 90% agreement that the top 32 are in. Quite a drop after that — the last four in being Wichita State, Stanford, Texas, and Richmond. Only teams that are appearing on 25% or more of the brackets and not getting in are UCLA and Cincinnati.

Bracketville (top ranked bracketologist over the last five years) has IU as a 9 seed after yesterday’s games. He has no Big Ten teams truly on the bubble...IU and Rutgers at 9, Purdue not in first 8 out.

So, IU dropped 9 spots yesterday in NET....for losing a Quad 1 game. IU is at 60, Minnesota is in 40s. Can we just stop the NET madness.
