  1. Not any different yet improved statistically in every stat. Simple question: who was our best guard last season?
  2. Cool. What was Franklin good at? And Leal and Galloway just moved ahead on the depth chart based on what?
  3. Dakich is the guy who railed against grad transfers being guys who quit on their programs and the practice shouldn't allowed. The one exception, of course, was when his kid did it. The reality is he is the type of parent he rails against,
  4. And now you've just owned yourself. Al was not better as a sophomore than he was as as junior.
  5. THE game on ESPNU. Started at 6:30 eastern so just a few minutes in.
  6. FWIW, as an Indiana educator, I can tell you the DOE is scrambling to try and figure out what to do in order to get seniors to graduate with the amount of e-learning going on. Lots of schools will apply for waiver days as well which would allow schools to eliminate up to 20 days of schools. Don't know how that would effect him graduating early but would simply say the state is focusing more on current seniors.
  7. Minutes played by guards last year Durham 846 Green 642 Phinisee 626 Franklin 441 Anderson 223 If Damezi transfers, that frees up 865 minutes. Over a 32 game span, that's 27 minutes per game. Durham's minutes may drop a little but not that much.
  8. BTW, I post on another Hoosier message board ................-- it's a large group of Hoosier posters that started on the old ESPN boards before they went to **** and then we all migrated to our own board. A lot of the guys have been posting together now for about 15 years. I've ran the league through that board previously. Between .......... and BTownbanners, I am sure the league would be a go. My preference is to have the league be Big Ten teams only, but I'm flexible.
  9. I am still looking at doing this....I am teaching my high school classes this week via e-learning. Eye opening how it's been more work to do so than face to face instruction. I've had to do e-learning before (last week's temperature drops into the negative teens put us out a week) but this week has been much harder than that as it's one that is probably going to be on that is setting up material for a much longer basis. We do go on spring break next week (if you want to call it that), so that will give me some time to set some things up. In the meantime, here is a link you play around with to see what would be required of you to set your team up. It's a copy of a google doc sheet. It's set up so you can play around with and edit game plans. All options are set with pull down arrows. It has last year's players from the Big Ten -- once I change that to this year's players, the sheets would be good to go. Note that the game has a limit of 10 players per roster. The first column lists your starters and then the five players off the bench in the order you want them to come off the bench and the positions you want them eligible to play. https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1q5_5T6REA9ilUhPvats6GSCjhMarDHU3t3BuasKrYXM/edit?usp=sharing
  10. I am looking at creating a sim league of NCAA teams from last season. I'm open to ideas on it -- should it be just Big Ten teams? League with teams from different division set up like a mini-NBA where teams must qualify for the playoffs? I've simmed leagues like this before and the time commitment from owners is minimal -- they just submit a game plan to me and I execute for their team. First order of business is to gauge interest. Three questions: 1. Would you be interested in coaching a college team in the league? 2. Would your preference be for it to be a Big Ten league only or allow owners to pick a team from any D1 school? Thanks!
  11. Cool! I am thinking of changing my project as USPS has the tournament covered. Kudos! I am looking at creating a sim league of NCAA teams from last season. 12. Cool! As I had mentioned in another thread (I think the PC Stellar Big Ten tourney thread), I'm also going to be doing one. If a non-Big Ten team is playing, I'll be using the simulator from whatifsports.com; if a Big Ten team is involved, I'll use the PC Stellar college basketball game. Will be interesting to see how our tournaments compare. I'll post mine in a separate thread but am looking forward to seeing how our results compare!

  14. Here were mine.....had some time to take the team sheets and used a formula to rate teams based on team sheet info. Wasn't happy with where a couple of teams ended and I didn't do the leg work or have the knowledge of what the commitee thinks like USPS. Anyway this was meant not so much to predict what the NCAA would have done but rather where the formula puts them. Biggest disagreement is on Colorado. 1: Kansas, Baylor, Gonzaga, Dayton 2: Creighton, Villanova, San Diego St, Maryland 3: Florida St, Louisville, Michigan State, Seton Hall 4: Oregon, Kentucky, Duke, Ohio State 5: Butler, Auburn, Wisconsin, BY 6: West Virginia, Michigan, Virginia, Penn State 7: Illinois, St. Mary's, Marquette, Iowa 8: Houston, E. Tenn St, Rutgers, Wichita St 9: USC, Arizona, Indiana, LSU 10: Oklahoma, Richmond, Arizona St, Xavier 11: Florida, Utah St, Providence, Colorado (play in), Texas Tech (play in) 12: St.Louis (play in), Rhode Island (play in) First 8 out: Purdue, Texas, N. Iowa, Stanford, Miss St, Oklahoma St, Cincinnati, NC State I was shocked to see St. Louis in as well as Rhode Island. Lot of quad 2 games in the A-10 and I might have not weighted those properly.

  17. Thanks. I was actually aware of that site. One thing it does that I don't like is that players who are random garbage time players are basically going to play in any game, regardless of opponent.....for instance, Damezi Anderson averaged 12 minutes per game when he did play in games for IU, so he'll get close to those number of minutes every game. I might use it for first round NCAA games not involving Big Ten teams when I sim the NCAA tournament just to cut back on the number of teams I have to create.

  24. Well, had issues with some of the files. Was able to recover the game, but have to recreate the teams. Once I do so, I'll be simming the rest of the Big Ten tournament and then the NCAA tourney.
