  1. What is funny to think is that in your proposed American 11 conference, I think Indiana would have been the topped ranked team this past year. Syracuse was down last year. Notre Dame probably would have been a tournament team in this scenario. FWIW, I'm not a big fan of conferences that are spread out wide geographically. If I were the Big Ten commisioner and wanted to do a fun little thing and wanted to reorganize the conference but not change teams, I would split the conference into two divisions....with a catch: run it like the premier league. seven teams in an 'upper' half, based on what teams finished in the upper half in 2019-20, and the teams in the bottom seven start in the lower half. Everybody plays each time their 'half' of the division once (home and home), and they play the teams in the other half one time each -- three home games, three away, one neutral. The opening games for the season are the neutral court games to provide a little excitement instead of playing a cupcake to start the year. And find interesting venues to play those games. And I eliminate the Big Ten/ACC challenge. At the end of the season, the top two teams in the lower half move up while the bottom two teams in the top half move down.
  2. Week 1 schedule: Monday's games: Iowa at Michigan Illinois at Maryland Tuesday's games: Penn State at Ohio State Indiana at Wisconsin Wednesday's games: Rutgers at Michigan State Northwestern at Purdue Thursday's games: Minnesota at Iowa Maryland at Penn State Friday's games: Michigan at Illinois Wisconsin at Rutgers Saturday's games: Nebraska at Indiana Ohio State at Minnesota Sunday's games: Purdue at Nebraska Michigan State at Northwestern
  3. Since I have not heard from the owners of Illinois or Indiana, Loaded Chicken Sandwich you can take one of them. Was really hoping that the Indiana owner on the Our Hoosier Board would take have submitted their game plans because I know that IU is everyone's first choice. LCS, if you could LMK if you want Indiana or Illinois. Whichever team you chose, please input their game plans (instructions on are page one of this thread, I believe). The remaining team is open to anybody that isn't running two teams already.
  4. Yes -- I am awaiting game plans for two coaches (Illinois and Indiana...disappointed the Indiana one hasn't posted yet). If I have not received them by tomorrow, you can take one.

  6. No, I kept him in. Each roster is a ten man roster and I included the players who played the most total minutes for the year for each team. Carton did play decent minutes and played twenty games, so he qualifies. Bohanon qualified for Iowa as well, but he shot the ball really poorly when he played and won't do much for them.
  7. I'd appreciate it. I had someone on the Our Hoosier Board offer to coach Penn State as well, and I took the evil empire from West Lafayette which leaves Minnesota as the only uncoached team. If you could do them, I'd appreciate it.
  8. You may now go load your game plans and rotation. Here is what you will need to do (if you could do it before Saturday, that would be appreciated): Click on this link: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1A3-8mveH-aHIcrC1qBk6TpTpNxY_NVdsoILaGKASQQ4/edit?usp=sharing This is a shared, editable google sheet. All options for your team are on dropdowns. You will give your starters and the order players come off the bench. A player will be in the game as long as they aren't fatigued or in foul trouble (defined by some dropdown options in the settings you choose) in the order you place them -- starters remain in game unless fatigued or foul trouble; bench players come in the order you give them. And bench player will play in any spot that you list as a primary/secondary/or third position. All team dropdown strategies on the left side are optional ones -- fill in as many or as few as you want. At the minimum, you should fill in team pace, man or zone on defense, and foul situations. LMK if you have any questions. NOTE: I HAVE PUT IN THE COACH PLANS FOR NORTHWESTERN AND PURDUE AS EXAMPLES FOR YOU TO VIEW. All teams are currently owned except Penn State and Minnesota; if they are not picked, they will be computer run.
  9. Anyone care to argue that this wasn’t the best IU team in Archie’s tenure? Because if not, you aren’t arguing that this team didn’t improve...and did so after losing its top two scores.
  10. Current list: Owners from the Our Hoosier Board: Indiana: IUAlltheWay Iowa: panchen Michigan: dreachon Michigan State: HoosierKDH Nebraska: sirbri Northwestern (I am going to run them and will pick another one from whatever is left): brumdog45 (I'm brumdog44 on that board) Wisconsin: sirbri Owners from the Btownbanners board: Rutgers: maharkn Ohio State: WayneFleek Maryland: IUSafety Illinois: Fulkme That leaves just Purdue, Penn State, and Minnesota unowned. I will be taking one of them, so just two more spots to fill. I have just a couple of teams left to create in PC Stellar and the sheet that you will put your game plans in is also very close to being done. Anyone still interested, post ASAP so you get a spot.
  11. There almost zero guys transferring that have two years of eligibility that have immediate eligibility. Joey Brunk was a unicorn in that respect.
  12. Looks like a quality player. Can play both the 2 and 3. 6'4", 205. Has scored well for the past three years -- 15.9, 18.2, 18.8.
  13. I have let guys on the other board first run a Big Ten team to run if they ran one before (I also figured that if someone runs Nebraska or Northwestern I'll let them run another team as well because.....well, Nebraska and Northwestern. So far these are the Teams picked: Indiana Iowa Michigan Michigan State Nebraska Northwestern (I am going to run them and will pick another one from whatever is left) Wisconsin So that leaves Maryland, Purdue, Penn State, Rutgers, Minnesota, Ohio State, and Illinois to be run. Wayne Fleek and FlukeMe had said they were interested in trying, so just post and LMK who you'd like to run. I'll track the posts on this and the other Hoosier message forum for requests.
  14. Cool. So you wished a player we wouldn't miss would have stayed. "Big difference" = "Wha-wha hap-happened, was...."
  15. IUBB vs Rutgers Game Thread 1/15 7 pm BTN Loaded Chicken Sandwich replied to mamasa's topic in Indiana Men's Basketball I wish we would have keptClifton ------------------------------- So are you going to try and play word salad? Or are you in the practice of wishing we would keep players we wouldn't miss? You can't even keep track of the crap you say.
  16. Yeah, but a guy not hitting shots because he doesn't get along with someone speaks of issues with not being able to lock in, IMO. Also doesn't really explain why he couldn't hit shots as a freshman either. The aberration seems to his good start his sophomore year.
  17. According to Evan Daniels as of a couple of days ago, teams that had reached out to him did not include Iowa.IM Major colleges expressing interest were: Alabama, Arkansas, Auburn, Creighton, DePaul, Georgia Tech, Illinois, Minnesota, Nebraska, Oklahoma, Oregon, Seton Hall and USC. Given his mental health issues, I wouldn't rule out a place like Creighton or Nebraska where the microscope and media isn't going to be as tough.
  18. Have to remember that you are talking to a guy who said we are really going to miss Clifton Moore.
  19. Because you made the claim that Durham would be our fourth or fifth guard next year and then refuse to face the reality that he was our best guard last year.....and if your opinion that Green was our best guard, that is even more reason that Durham wouldn't see minutes drop because our 'best guard' is gone. You do understand that not putting five guys on the the court isn't an option, right? This ain't Hickory.
  20. Cool, a guy who can make something happen and isn't scared to shoot. So let's look at those shooting numbers: Per 40 minutes: Nolley: shots per 40 minutes: 19.1 shots per game, 37% overall, 44% eFG, 4.5 out of 10.5 from 2 (42%), 2.8 out of 8.9 from 3 (32%), 3.2 assists, 3.6 turnovers. Green: shots per 40 minutes: 17.6 shots per game, 37% overall, 47% eFG, 2.7 out of 7.3 from 2 (38%), 3.7 out of 10.3 (36%), 3.9 assists, 3.2 turnovers. Not exactly the stats I want to see. And what's even scarier is how tremendously bad he was shooting against the real competition once conference play started.....34 of 134 from three (24.6%). Anybody can be a shooter. I want a maker.
  21. The amazing thing is that would true if it weren't actually false. That kind of gets in the way.
  22. Cool, Leal will compete for minutes. Al's been doing more than just competing for minutes for three straight years. And you started the gem with "Franklin was a freshman" and then totally dis missed that Leal will be one next year.
  23. Might as well since you've already have Leal making shots for IU without wearing a uniform.
  24. Decent rebounder but he was a volume shooter with an eFG of 44.4%. The same site you are pulling those numbers of off will tell you the his offensive win share was 0.3. That's lower than Al (1.7), Devonte (0.8), and Rob (0.5).
